Evening no time to get online today, had youngest today as M was taken out for the day with a friend and friends Mum. T was an absolute pleasure today no arguing, played quite happily on her own. DD said the girls are ready for some time apart bern in each others company 24/7 for 5 weeks. I got stuck into some cleaning and ironing for DD ease her load a bit. Tomorrow is going to be a me day, maybe a browse around the shops in town, maybe a bite of lunch who knows. Apart from a down pour at lunch time it's been a very warm day.

So, in this two person household, who do you think decided uncharacteristically to post the "return to sender" letters (charity begging letters) by putting them in the post box AND posted the card for estranged son's birthday in July which has been sitting on the window sill (we do not have an address) and contains a £50 NEXT voucher in case he turns up at some point so he realises that I have not forgotten him.

I will give you a clue, it was not me. He NEVER posts anything unless I stick it inside his wallet and make a point of telling him it needs to be posted. I said to just leave it to me as he usually does and he threw a hissy fit. For goodness sake!

My arm has stopped being quite so yucky but it still looks a mess and still hurts. On the way to the meeting today on the (very very hot) tube I was in a crowded carriage and someone caught another part of my arm with his bag so I have yet another bruise in the same general area. It wasn't his fault, when you are crammed in like a sardine you cannot control where your bags/arms etc go. That is why I try to make my meetings out of rush hour travel times.

i committed myself to submitting a report which needs a lot of research prior to a meeting on Wednesday in Wembley about a development around the stadium. I had completely forgotten that Monday is a bank holiday and I am also out most of Tuesday. I shall be working bank holiday Monday.........

The husband of my friend who died recently called with a necklace for me which was hers, wasn't that kind of him, he knows I am still feeling upset, thought it might be a comfort for me. I still well up when I think of her, she was a special friend

Today could be a great succes or a complete trial! ! I am collecting my mum at 11 then driving her over to DD1s. We are then going to the seaside with DD and GS1. Both my mum and GS can be difficult creatures, and both like your complete attention, so the combination is a bit of a risk. DD originally planned doing this alone, then got cold feet and enlisted my help. I will report back!

Zizi - your poor arm. Did you go to A&E with it? I think there's a 'husband gene' that makes them sometimes do something quite out of character for them - and invariably it doesn't go well, but that was an expensive blip.

Washing has dried and the gardening is done, so just had a relaxing shower, hairdresser coming in about an hour.
Didn't have to make any dinner, we had fish and chips.Hairdresser been,so cleaned up after she had gone.
I ordered a pressy for eldest son's girlfriend a couple of days ago,and it arrived this morning. I wanted one with pink spots,but they didn't have any with her initial, so had to get blue spots. I know she broke her favourite mug a couple of weeks ago, so hope she likes this one.
