Good morning all wall to wall sunshine here chilly but it's still early. DD and family are safely home hope to see them later. Out for lunch with an old work colleague, looking forward to eating and having a few glasses of liquid refreshment and a good catch up.

Morning ladies I'm waiting for a plasterer to arrive , we have developed a cracking in the wall on the stairs as it's going across and not downwards it's also on the internal wall it looks like the plaster board has bowed , at one time Brian would have done it himself but looks like a big chunk of plaster may have to come off to repair it , so much for decorating and saying I won't be picking a paint brush up for a while , this will have to be painted over and this morning I re glossed the window sill where the dog has scratched it jumping up 😕 Libra have a lovely lunch , Gem I was going to do my hair later too I have a lovely silver streak appearing down the roots 😊 . Have a good day ladies xxx

That's disappointing Oma. I would say he has lost the job as well.
Plenty of sunshine today, although we did have a couple of very quick showers this morning.
Been in the garden all afternoon, iv'e cut the grass while hubby did his tidying up jobs, so I have just had a lovely hot shower.

That's so rude Oma, as well as unprofessional.

I drove home from my late afternoon client in the most torrential downpour. Lights on, wipers on full speed and still you can't see!! I had to take the corners very slowly, as the roads were like lakes. If it was any further I would have had to pull over somewhere safe. As it was only 4 miles and the rain didnt start until halfway home, I plodded on!

Libra, it's been a funny mixed day here! Sunny in parts, in fact I got a washload dried outside this morning, then that torrential downpour.

It's been a funny old day in the Daisy household. Yesterday we had a power cut in the early hours. I woke up early, luckily, reset clocks and alarm, then we had another cut and I reset all the clocks - but forgot the alarm!! The upshot was I didn't wake up until 7.55 today - and I leave the house at 8 during the hols to get to the GDs!! Needless to say, it was a bit of a rush. Then OH came over and we went out, with the girls, to see a caravan, and bought it! GD2 screamed her head off and wouldn't go near it, but I think she didn't like the huge barn is was stored in. We're going to collect it tomorrow and are looking forward to a few jaunts before the summer ends. GD1 is very taken with the idea of having the top bunk when they go in it. We've never had a touring caravan before - just borrowed one twice, but many years ago. Any tips would be welcome!

I often listen to music on YouTube when I'm on the computer and tonight started with some vintage Presley - 1954 and sounding very much like many country singers like hank Williams etc. Then as YT seems to do sometimes, it switched to his very last concert in 1977 - rather sad!

We had several touring vans, an awning or a porch is a good idea. Make sure you know where you are going, not easy to make a three point turn with a caravan.we used to love the Caravan Club site in Malvern, went there a lot, we loved to walk the hills. Good idea to join the Caravan Club, they have the best sites. OH and I used to have slight disagreements about where to site the caravan, I like a view and he just wanted to get it unhitched.

Plant- many thanks. Malvern sounds lovely and I shall put it on my bucket list. The van has an awning and a proper groundsheet. It also has a 'Mover' I think it's called, so you don't have to haul it round with brute force. I hadn't thought about joining the Caravan club, but it sounds like a good idea. I know they have some sites just for members.

I would always go for the view as well!

Sounds like you will have fun with caravan Daisy.

We just had a couple of quick showers yesterday.Rain was forecast for us today and tomorrow, but it looks lovely at the moment.
The wind has dropped,so it doesn't feel as cool as yesterday.

Nothing planned for today, just the usual kind of day.

Oma, good to hear you have got another plasterer, hope he will be more reliable than the other one.

Good morning everyone. Nanto - what a pretty graphic to start the day, especially since it's rather gloomy this morning. I've been up since 5 am - it's not often I can't sleep - and I've done most of the ironing. I'm sure by lunch time I shall be needing a nanna nap. I'm having my hair cut at 12 though, so not much chance for a rest as we're picking up the caravan at 3. We've taken Plant's excellent advice and joined the caravan club, and on Friday we're taking it over to a friend's to have an awning putting up lesson.

Oma - I hope this plasterer turns up and does a good job. It's a messy horrible process so I hope he cleans up as well.

Nanto - relax and enjoy your 'free' day.
