Daisy your credit card won't know what's hit it,but enjoy your shopping. I hope you find just what you want..
Could you not enlarge and frame some of your own gorgeous photos for the walls? They would then be personal to you but works of art for others to enjoy as well. My DD did this with some close-ups of flowers and though she is no way as expert as you I must say they are very effective.

Ome you must have a break if you are aching. The walls will still be there tomorrow.By the way that's my mantra where h.......k is concerned)

I didn't realise how much Daily Chat I'd missed over the last 2 days!!

Clover - most of the art work we had on the walls is out of my camera, which is why I don't see them as 'pictures' that you would keep for ever. They were chosen because they fitted the room, and were ones I could live with. I obsess about tiny imperfections in photos! I'm going to trawl through my archives and see if there's anything I can use. If not I'll have to get the camera out and start shooting!!

Aggie - I hope you're ok after your fire scare.

Jane - the right house is out there somewhere - and it may be the one you live in now! But as Zizi says, you certainly see life when you start house hunting. I think Zizi and I between us could write a book!

Clover - Luna sounds as though she's a very good girl.

Oma - Wow - you must decorate like a high speed train. We're having a rest before we tackle the hall, stairs and landing - like 6 months' rest!!

Qwerty - I hope you're having some pampering 'me' time this week without the babies.

All this talk of rhubarb is making me hungry! Yum, yum.

It's cold and damp here today. What happened to flaming June! We've got dog training at lunch time so I'm having a quiet morning after a full-on hectic day yesterday.

Well not a good start to June weather wise not a flaming in sight. Dark and very overcast down South. I am child free this week being half term but cooking monday and thursdays at work for 3 weeks, only 4 1/2 hours a day so not bad. Still hobbling although swelling has gone down, felt I was making progress yesterday until my friends dog ran full pelt into my ankle Happy June to all, fingers crossed for a few months of hot, sunny weather.

Hello everyone. Dare I say we've got a lovely day here (she ducks for cover ) I am sorry if it's not so good for you.My DD and sister are suffering too.

OH had blood test this morning and then we had a (slow) walk over to Pennard castle. My knee is better than it was but rough ground causes a bit of a problem.Hardly anyone about but a few down on Three Cliffs beach and quite a few tents and caravans over on the other side of the valley.

Enjoy your day and don't work TOO hard whatever you are up to.

My DD's just rang G had his scan today on his Kidneys, she was told everything appeared to look fine, but will know better when the consultant has had a look at them, she should hear in 7 to 10 days,

She said at first G was having none of it until the nurse said he would see his tummy on the big TV, so he had a little look around and decided to cooperate, lay on the bed while the nurse put the jelly on his belly... while she was doing it she said "oh you've got a little one" DD said he turned and said " no iv'e got a big one" she said he was running around after shouting "ive got a big one" she said he had all the nurses laughing, which made him worse, she said the nurse had said good job we know what he is shouting about LOL ...

Four weekends of sleepovers have left me feeling exhaustedly tired but happy. This weekend is for us. Decorators in tomorrow & Friday to do hall/stairs/landing and the living room. Off to DIY store tonight to buy emulsion. Also on the lookout for new curtain rails.

Pearl I'd love to have been a fly on the wall.

Busy day today with one thing and another. I finished my due diligence duties on the charity nominations - what a faff! Then I tried to start the trial for the new app for work and it told me I was "illegal" and IT are trying to sort it out. The rest of it I will put on YEO shortly.

Back to winter down here!!!OH been for his 6 monthly check-up. Small nodule in neck and white blood count on low side, but consultant didn't seem too concerned! Back for bloods in 3 months to see if anything has changed. Went to pub for quick bite afterwards.......can't believe I had a bowl of lentil soup on 1st June!

DD started new job on Monday. Deputy CEO at one of the hotels she used to work at. Very pleased and proud!

WeeGranny, pleased the consultant doesn't seem to be worried. Well done to your daughter.
Clover, been like winter here again today.

WG - If the consultant doesn't want OH to have any checkups for 3 months he must be pretty confident that there's nothing serious to worry about.

Many congratulations to your DD. It's wonderful when we see our children achieving their ambitions, isn't it. Good luck to her. When does she start?

Clover - I hope OH's blood tests are ok. It does you good to get out for a walk, doesn't it. I'm glad you got the benefit of what bit of sun there was.

Nana - no wonder you're exhausted after 4 week-ends of sleepovers.

LG - I hope you're not overdoing things, but glad to hear the swelling's gone down a bit.

Zizi - it sounds like the due diligence was an awful lot of red tape.

Oma - I hope you get another good night tonight.

                            Sleep tight!

Good morning! Same here. About 10C, dull and overcast. What's happened to summer?

I need to do a supermarket shop this morning - not my favourite activity but if we want to eat .... Oh well, at least I won't be wishing I was sitting in the garden.

Qwerty - thinking of you - enjoy your trip to Brum and put your worries to one side for a while. xx
