Qwerty I became very nervous driving as I got older as you know I gave up in the end but I don't have babies to ferry around now you still do 😊
Trouble is Oma it's a 2 seater so still need to drive the tank lol
Out to lunch with a friend after doing a taxi service for GS. My friend and I met at classes for pregnant ladies and pushed prams together. Lovely to catch up
Plant - Lunch out with your long-standing (or pram pushing) friend sounds lovely, and I'm sure it will help a little after the loss of your other friend, who, I'm sure you will miss dreadfully. xx

It's amazing what we chat about on here. I haven't been able to pop in for a chat for 2 days, and catching up on this thread is incredible - everything from a DD stuck on a hot train, to poorly thumbs.
After our busy (and hot!) day on Saturday - afternoon 2 hrs of dog training, evening barbecue, I then spent Sunday rushing round changing beds, and getting at least the guest room and main bathroom clean, tidy and ready for our visitor. She arrived just as I was trying to water the garden with Eva's help, so we sat in the summerhouse, with a bottle of wine, and spent an hour or so just being pleased to see each other. Monday was GD day - long and hot. By last night I was shattered but fortified by a couple of glasses of wine, cooked dinner (it wasn't my finest hour though!) made bread and prepared dried liver treats for Eva, plus catching up on my friend's shopping trip to Gunwarf Quay. Today has been another long, hot day for GDs leaving me no chance to chat on here. But OH is out wood turning tonight and our friend is out for dinner (I wonder if it was my cooking last night!) so I've finally got chance to say 'Hi' everyone, I hope WG and all the other Grannies, children and grandchildren are feeling better. So I'm relaxing with a glass of cider and GRU..

Back from a wonderful concert at The Sage Gateshead 5 schools singing dancing playing music etc ages from 5-17 it was amazing of course Joshua,s school was the best 😀 the little ones were so cute but it was a long night for them didn't finish till 10.30. There was one young lady from the school Josh is going to in September and this young woman will go far she could give a lot of singers a run for their money , she had a amazing voice ,played Piano,Guitar,Flute, Drums, a all round performer she is someone who I'm sure we will all see in the future everyone was commenting on her .Off to bed soon got to be up and out to Hospital again in the morning , not that we will get much sleep it's so hot in the bedroom
Pleased you enjoyed the concert Oma, there are some really talented kids out there.
Daisy, don't forget to breathe.
We have had the ceiling fan on all night in the bedroom. Hot again this morning, but we are supposed to be getting thunderstorms.
All the best for Brian's hospital visit.
Anyone feeling under the weather, hope you feel better soon.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Good morning everyone. It didn't seem too hot last night - there was a bit of a breeze here and we left the bedroom and bathroom windows wide open.
Oma - the concert sounds wonderful, and Josh is multi-talented. I bet you were so proud of him. I hope Brian's feeling ok and the treatment today goes smoothly.
Gem - it sounds like a busy day for you!
Our dog training session has been cancelled because of the heat, so we're going out for coffee and lunch with a bunch of OH's ex-colleagues. The new tenants move in next door today so hopefully we'll be back in time to offer them a cuppa (or something cold) this afternoon. The friend staying with us is the owner of the house so she's got a chance to meet them before going back to Australia at the week-end.
I need to start planning stuff for GS1's birthday party at the week-end, but it can wait until tomorrow. I'm having a day off today!!!
At the moment it's warm but cloudy. I hope you all have a good day.

Good morning all. Feels a bit cooler this morning, slept well, with all the windows open. We have Dexter (DD's dog) today so will be keeping him cool with his paddling pool and lots of water. He also likes frozen carrots so have a few all ready for him.
our lovely neighbour, who is Iranian and loves the heat even though he has been in the UK for 30+ years! has over the last two days cut the big hedge between our two properties at the front. It's our hedge but it had got quite high and he was having trouble seeing the road when he backed his car out. He asked us if we would mind if he cut it down a bit and DH was happy for hints do it. How he did it in all the heat I don't know. DH offered to help but he said no, he was happy to do it. Made me worn out just seeing him do it!
hope a brian is getting on well at the hospital Oma, do you have far to go? Glad the concert went well.
i'm hoping to have a walk along the beach this morning so will have to go soon before it gets too hot. Have a nice cool day everyone. 😎

Morning ladies no sleep last night had all the upstairs windows open and still no breeze started in our room then spare room then downstairs and back upstairs fell asleep just after 5 but back up at 7 been shopping then off to Hospital soon ,
Enfys it's a good 30-45 minute drive depending on the traffic, all that way for 20 minutes 😕 tomorrow we have two Hospitals too visit first Sunderland for his weekly line flush and bloods at 9.30 then Newcastle Freeman for his treatment straight after
Afternoon all.
We had a wonderful day yesterday with our new GS. He was fast asleep when we got there so I was able to have a catch up with DD, had to reassure myself that she is ok and to be honest she looked well very indeed, far better than she did throughout the whole pregnancy. SIL was there to make drinks, go shopping, help feed baby and pick up older GS from school.
As the day got hotter it was apparent than baby GS wasn't coping to well in the heat. He would cry for his feed and then when we fed him he just got so much hotter bless him. DD stripped him down to his nappy and let him lie on his play mat on the floor. This helped a lot.
SIL took himself off to B and Q and he came back with a cooling tower so perhaps that might help .
Otherwise GS is a very content happy baby , he only cries for a minute or two, and then he is happy just lay in the Moses basket kicking his tiny legs about. He looks so much like his brother but that's were the similarity ends. Older GS was noisy all the time, he was hard to please some times and he would never sleep for very long. In fact he never sleeps now !
Mimi, how lovely that you had cuddles with the new baby, and time to spend with your daughter Good to know both are doing well.
My baby GS, 3 months, has been wearing just a nappy and very thin sleeveless vest in this heat. He has lots of hair, which makes him hotter!

All this baby talk makes me green with Envy 😀
Back from Hospital having a little rest then out to Joshua school leaving balloon release ceremony I'm taking plenty of tissues bound to be emotional last day at Primary 😊
Aww, that sounds lovely, but emotional Oma
I have to confess I love having a new baby in the family. I wanted a 3rd GC for my GD to have a sibling mainly. But he is adorable, it's so lovely spending time with him. I will have him all day on Wednesdays from September.
