We had a lovely day. Mum, all DDs, all GC, and 2 SILs came. Lunch went well, The sun came out, and we spent all afternoon in the garden watching the children have fun, which GD and GS1 always do when they get together. The fresh air would do mum good. She had a garden but almost never goes into it these days.

Oma - well done you! We're still finishing off the living room. I can't believe how long it's taken to hang curtains and move furniture round etc. We're going out first thing in the morning to get new throws, cushions and light fittings.
Qwerty - poor you, all the things you like are the ones that make you feel poorly - it's not fair!
LG - I've signed a petition about the closing of Poole Maternity Unit, but I don't think I've seen one going round about A&E. Closing either of them would be total madness and will certainly cost lives!
Bournemouth might not be that far from Poole, but the roads are gridlocked at times and for patients from the west of Poole it will be even worse!
Clover - it's hard to arrange get togethers when you're so scattered, but if you seem them separately you can actually spend more one-to-one time with them. How is the puppy getting on?

We're off to Southampton for a bit of shopping first thing - the finishing touches to the living room. Yes, thank you Nanto - all the painting etc is now done. The only thing I'll be struggling with it pictures etc for the walls. None the old ones will go with the new colour scheme but OH sees them a 'pictures' and I see them as decorative touches to fit the room. Watch this space.

Morning ladies of to B&Q for more paint ,was going to do Sitting room today but by time I finished last night when I got up this morning I ache everywhere so going to just put everything back in Kitchen today then prep sitting room take curtains down etc and start fresh tomorrow , by time we have been to B&Q looked for new unit I want in dining room and for a new lamp it will be lunch time too late to start today anyway , Daisy enjoy your shopping , have a good day ladiesIm not fat just 6ft too smallComment

Could you not enlarge and frame some of your own gorgeous photos for the walls?They would then be personal to you but works of art for others to enjoy as well. My DD did this with some close-ups of flowers and though she is no way as expert as you I must say they are very effective.
Ome you must have a break if you are aching. The walls will still be there tomorrow.By the way that's my mantra where h.......k is concerned

Daisy I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ignore your kind comment about family get-togethers. Yes thank you the puppy is doing well,growing in size and personality. My DD visited a friend and after asking if it would be alright to bring puppy took her garden tether with her as they were going to be sitting outside. However Luna was very well behaved and lay under the table the whole time.

Just had a bit of a scare , washing machine has been playing up and I thought the smell of chemicals was from it , but it was fine . Then noticed the gas under the soup pot was very bright !! The pepper mill that I thought was glass , wasn't ................... It had fallen behind the hob and was burning merrily !! There was enough unlit for me to lift it out and douse it in the sink ! Just as well I hadn't left the kitchenComment
