      Good Monday morning everyone.

Oma - I do hope Brian's bloods are ok and he can go ahead with his treatment.

I remember the first time I ever went to an American Ice Cream parlour - we were all shocked to see grown up men in business suits wolfing down huge ice cream cones and when it came to DS2 to choose his (he was about 6) he looked at all 36 flavours on offer - and chose vanilla!!

A busy day for me - Eva as always needs a long walk despite the damp weather, then pick GD2 up from playschool. Gem - you're right, my back does ache today - GD2 will need to carry me! Nanto - if I'd known your OH could have come and practised on GS2's hedge yesterday! I actually quite enjoy tackling jobs like that but get a bit frustrated when I realise I'm not quite as strong as I used to be.

Gem - the party sounds lovely and I'm sure the children are all sleepy today.

Oma I hope Brian's bloods come back ok and he can continue with his treatment.

All this talk of ice cream reminds me of when I was a child and we were having a day at the seaside I always wanted a knickerbocker glory whenever we went into the cafe for our lunch. There was rows of all sorts of ice cream on offer displayed behind the counter and the knickerbocker glory always caught my eye. As it cost 2 shillings and 6 pence mum considered that far two expensive so I had to make do with a 6 penny cornet instead. .
I have been known before now, when we are out for a meal if there is anything slightly resembling a knickerbocker glory I tend to order it but sadly it is no longer at the cost of 2 shillings and six pence , which now I think would have been twenty two and a half pence !
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Hello everyone. Sorry I've been AWOL but computer problems cut me off ! Hopefully all sorted now but very stressful while it lasted. As a result of OH's illness he's not up to sorting these things out like he used to and it's left to me and tech-savvy I am not !The help-line man and I got quite pally after he had me on my knees unscrewing a phone socket I felt so cut off, It's awful how computers have become such an essential part of our lives now, though my sister doesn't even have one and survives quite well!

Anyway I'll try to catch up and I hope everyone is doing okay.

Today we had a dentist appointment and I've got to have a couple of long sessions to sort out an on-going problem. What fun
                      .
Oh yes I also had a hospital appointment on Friday re:my lymphoma. One of the blood results was a bit raised from before but I suppose that is to be expected. All other blood results were good. it's now "watch and wait" again til the next appointment in 3 months.Of course I never forget my problem but it does drift to the back of my mind some of the time but of course the hospital trip has got me all stirred up again.

Hope you all have a nice peaceful evening.

Clover, lovely to see you I hate being 'cut off', it's horrible isn't it?

OH and I were like you, keeping it to the back of our minds but each hospital visit brought it back to the fore. I used to be very anxious for the days leading up to it. Now years have passed and we don't worry in the same way .Its always in the back of our minds and we'd rather not be going to the hospital, but it doesn't have the same terrorising effect. Hopefully after a while you will feel the same, and your watch and wait won't have you so worried. I know it's not easy. Sending (HUGS)

Pleased you enjoyed the film Oma, we usually watch Dads Army on tv, even though they are repeats.

Clover, I know the feeling of being cut off the internet. Awful isn't it. I know it's easier said then done, but I hope you can put your illness to the back of your mind for a while.
