Have you tried reading in bed, or watching telly on the sofa Oma? Both those send me to sleep!

Yes tried that Gem but when I'm like that nothing helps , had a nap on sofa but Storm wasn't letting me sleep too long he decided to pat me on the head with a empty water bottle till I took notice 😊

Been a trying afternoon with T asked her to get changed out of uniform and an argument ensued where I was informed " this is Mummys house, and I don't have to get changed". Result a glare from Gran and time out. Got an apology and then all smiles on the trampoline after she realised not to even ask about television. Getting to old for this malarky.

She certainly does Oma, gives me an itchy hand sometimes.

LG - the 'discussion' over getting changed made me smile because I have similar 'discussions' with GD1. It's usually along the lines of 'Mummy doesn't make me do..(whatever)' and my response is usually crisp - 'Mummy isn't here at the moment - you can complain to her when you see her'! Thank you for asking about Eva's training. I'll add a bit to my 'New Member of the Family' thread after dinner! At least the sun came out for us south coasters this afternoon.

Oma - I hope you sleep better tonight.

Gem - it sounds as though you're well-organised for your hols.

Afternoon everyone, I have come out of hiding today. All I have done these past few days is sneeze. It makes no difference if the sun is shining or if it's pouring down the nasty , evil pollen still attacks me.
I've had a miserable few days , my nose looks as if it is training for comic relief and my two black eyes looks as if I have been brawling in the street.
I'm off now to look for some tissues.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Hope you feel better soon Mimi.

Been very warm today, about 3pm we had a shower, came on very quickly, but only lasted seconds. Very warm since the shower.
I did hear there is torrential rain and thunderstorms forecast for tonight, in the south east I think.

Mimi - poor you, I hope the pollen count goes down soon.

Nanto - yes there have been some spectacular thunderstorms in the far south east as far as I can see from photo-sharing sites I belong to. The sky blackened and it started to rain while I was out with Eva about 8.30 here and it started to rain. There were rumblings of thunder, but nothing exciting.

I think we can assume Nana had a good time.

                              Good morning, Nanto and everyone.

Nanto - I think you're right about Nana! Looking forward to hearing all about it when she gets online.

We had a terrific thunder storm last night. It's the first major thunder storm we've had since we got Eva, and she didn't like it one bit. She usually sleeps in the living room but she was frantic so she spent an hour or so on our bed then when the storm had blown over she got off. I was too tired to see where she had gone, but when I got up this morning she was lying on an old duvet on the landing, looking well-pleased with herself.

                              Have a good day everyone.

I had a lovely afternoon with GD yesterday. We went to the park, it was beautiful weather. It reminded me of all the hours she and I had spent there together since she was a baby, and I felt quite tearful about how much I love her, how beautiful she is and how wonderful it has been since she was born. Silly Grandma!

Today is voting, taking my mum for a Drs appointment, shopping etc. Tonight I must finish packing, as we go on holiday tomorrow!
