That sounds a lovely evening Plant.

I ended up with reading and distance glasses , after my cataract op followed by after cataract laser treatment, I still have that star effect dazzle from headlights in one eye. I wish I had gone private for mine, as I feel let down. One was done on a Saturday and they seemed very rushed. I found both painful, so my personal experience of cataract treatments isnt too good.

Out to collect eldest ddaughters cake for her 40th birthday party tomorrow, then a couple more things to buy for the Baby Box, then it will be finished.

OH and I are going somewhere else, but she won't tell me where! !

Oma, it was a model railway exhibition I love model railways, so it was a nice surprise.

DD's cake is beautiful, all safely boxed and in the kitchen and champagne chilling in the fridge ready for tomorrow.
DD's dad is making a video to show at the party using childhood photos I dug out for him, and other more recent pics from FB etc. A lot of her friends live in various places around the world so have sent messages to go on the video. This morning we discovered that we were all required to record messages to go into the video. OH's phone doesn't even take photos (don't laugh!) Mine does video, but it was too hard to film ourselves. We had to drag one of our local friends out of bed to kindly film us. However, I couldn't send it on my phone, it said the file was too big. Our friend had to record us on her phone, then send it to my ex. It got there in the end!

Josh has just gone home for the second time today , had a phone call at 1.30 in his Wimpy winging voice Nanaaaaaa I'm Bored Mam and Dad are putting the new flooring down in the hall and I haven't anything to do , so I said do you want to come back hear Grandad will come for you , well I haven't heard a voice brighten up so quickly 😃 Yes Nana ill go get my shoes on ill be ready . DD said he was putting them on before he got off the phone, usually he has to be told at least 3 times to get his shoes on when going out . Nice to be wanted though isn't it

Cold and windy here, ut it's quite bright.
I have dress that I bought from Meadowhall when it first opened, and that's 26 years ago this year. It still has the shop tags on.

I can't believe it's been that long since Meadowhall opened. Again where does the time go?

Re cataracts... I had one done privately Gem & it's just as bad as the other. Wonder if I could get a refund.

Collected a toy castle for GS1 today ...won on Ebay. Fab condition. Looking for knights now, but might need to take out a loan. The prices!

Nana we bought our youngest grandson a fort last year the Knights cost more than the fort even on ebay got a couple from toys r us but couldn't afford many

My granddaughter had the Fisher Price Disney Princess castle when she was younger. The prince and princess figures cost more than the castle cost us! Grandson now has the Octonauts launch pad which we bought for Christmas. The Octonauts figures are pricey too!
They give 2 figures with both the castle and the octopad, knowing lots more figures will be purchased!

It's going to be busy for me too. DS2 has a hedge that needs extensive pruning and it dawned on us yesterday that the birds will be looking at it as a prospective nesting site. So it's all hands to the pump to get it sorted out this morning.

Today is DD1s 40th birthday party. It is her birthday on Wednesday . This is a surprise party at her dads later, organised by the family. She knows something is going on, but no details. Family and local friends will be there. She has a lot of non local friends, and there are video messages from them. There will be lovely food courtesy of her dad and DD3's partner. I hope she has a lovely day. 40 years ago today I thought I has some time left, as she was due in early March
