Though it's been threatening rain all day it's managed to hold off so far.
This morning I seized the opportunity to put some polyanthus plants in the garden, clear away some Summer bedding and plant some daffodils. The time just flew by and after an early lunch OH and I went for a walk . I called in the Post Office for my pension and as "C" stamps were advertised I bought a couple of books as I needed a few stamps anyway.Over £12!
I'm now having a quick coffee before starting on a Shepherd's Pie-Snap Gemini!

Exactly what I was going to say, too!

My big achievement today was cutting the back lawn - it gets waterlogged very quickly and although it wasn't exactly dry I think it was the only chance I was going to get! It was nice to be outside - less wind than recently, and not too cold (for November!). I keep thinking about Zizi in all that sunshine. Sigh.

Clover - gardening and a walk sounds like a very satisfactory way to spend a day.

Late in the day but Hi to everyone, dull and spitty off and on today.I do so hate autumn/winter such depressing months. Nothing exciting here, usual collect girls from school, get ready for ballet/disco classes and drop off. Tomorrow I am spending the majority of my day with my dearest friend, shopping and lunch out. No girls tomorrow as I did Monday instead, cooking all weekend for work as regular cook away, and again the following weekend. I have given my boss verbal notice of my intention to leave next October which I shall make official in September 2016. It seems a long way off,but we all know how time flies.

Home now from a wonderful trip to Lisbon and then Lagos, Algarve. Now to catch up on here ..... no doubt it will take me a while. Got both grandsons tomorrow, and they are both poorly so could be a tricky day!

Nanto - much the same here, except when the alarm went of at 7.15 I had finally fallen fast asleep!!

Mimi - thanks for the information about GN - the GN Mods hadn't been informed, so it's very helpful to know.

                        Good morning everyone.
Thanks for that Mimi, as Daisy said, we mods were not informed!
I hope your boys are soon well Avo. My grandson has been poorly all week. Dr diagnosed a bad chest infection. He has been on antibiotics, steriods and an inhaler for 2 days, and is starting to improve. It is his day to come to me tomorrow, so we shall see.
Work for me today, then taking mum shopping and to see my sister.
Cold out, but I see the sun

I have been on GN most days but not posting , I gave up reporting the bad stuff when it seemed the Mods had given up on it . I messaged Verity and asked her if they would close the forum as it is very sad to see it full of nasty messages . She got back to me to say it was being closed . Why would she let you know it was closing ? Have you been on it recently ?

Good morning all, dull and cloudy here today.

At last we have a healthy house again. It took DH ages to get over his D&V but thankfully is feeling better . I'm off to my Reading Group this morning, which means lots of chat and cake...can't be bad! With DH feeling rough this week I got on with my sewing and made a patchwork table runner and four place mats so at least my time wasn't wasted. Now he's feeling better he's feeling more like getting out and about again.

I did pop on to GN now and again but it all seemed to be adverts , very odd. Not surprised it's closing but at least we all met up on there and so pleased to be part of GRU

Yes Aggie, we often go on, and have deleted anything that has ever been deleted. V and C never do. We 3 put in a lot of effort to keep GN going for a long time. We now run this forum, and all have busy lives too.
Enfys, thank you for your kind words. It's nice to be appreciated
