Interesting, thanks Nan2. I will print this off and take it along to the doctors when I am next there. Mind you although my doctors are good about appointments they do have a very beady eye on the finances but I might be able to get a referral to my work health provider. I will have to check eligibility as some things are not covered.

I have had injections all through the winter/spring in the hope to build up a resistance to the pollen. On another occasion I ate the local honey for months before the hay fever season but it made no difference to me at all. I have to admit that was several years ago and perhaps it would work now but I wonder if the NHS would fund injections this time as my GP told me at the time they were very expensive!
The only thing that has helped is a smear of Vaseline just under the nostrils before I go out as this helps stop the pollen getting into my nose , sucking mints as it appears to widen the nasal passages and helps me breath . If you see a woman with a shiny nose smelling of mints coming towards you say hello, it will most probably be me !!

I had injections for several months in springtime for a couple of years and I've been fine since Zizi! You have to find out what pollens are causing the problems first though! A friend who keeps bees has also been desensitized for bee stings!

Just returned from my friend's funeral. She was only 57. The church was packed and it was lovely to see everyone wearing pink in one way or another. Lovely service too, not too long and led by a very sympathetic lady vicar.

Took husband to work at 7am drove to butchers then to greengrocer, came home, read paper, cl**ned kitchen. I have to cl**n bathroom next. Had windows open for the last few days and the because it has been breezy the damned aviation dust has got everywhere. Annoying.

Feeling a bit hungover this morning but it is worth it, very fun evening. My youngest two GS have finished their exams so I was invited to share a take-away, DS picked me up, they live about 20mins away.

Eldest GD joined us as she passes on her way home from work then brought me home to find a bit of a party going on in DD and SILs house, Grandson, physio and youngest GD, student were home for a few days, so more wine. Music played and youngest GD and DD were singing and dancing. GD is such a lively one and a joy to have around, she has just recovered from Glandular fever. Very quiet next door this morning.

I know FAR too much Cl**ning for me! Still have just made courgette and spinach soup as I put the veggies away in the fridge and realised I hadn't cooked the spinach I bought and there was a big fat courgette left. Goodness knows if it will taste nice!

Just went into my Nationwide bank account to do a bit of moving money and it has lost all my automatic details so I asked for a reminder of a certain item and had to enter some information and I got a message to say I was locked out because I had three failed attempts. No I have not. I had one and all the information was correct. Now I have to wait up to five days for new information to be sent to me. I wouldn't mind so much but I have been using the same details for eleven years!!! GGRRRRR
