Oma - you have no excuse today - relax, woman, put your feet up - you did ALL the housework yesterday. I know you'll be impatient to go and see Brian, but until then, have a rest. xx

Oma, I had cramp in the night too,and I haven't had it for years! Luckily mine went off quite quickly.
What time do you go tomorrow Nan2?

GS was collected around midday, then we went to meet DD2 for lunch. We had a roast. OH managed well, once I had cut up her pork and Yorkshire pudding
2 friends have asked us to meet them for a meal tonight! I think it will have to be be salad, or a starter maybe.

Nanto - well done on being so prepared. I hope you're already in the holiday mood.

Gem and Wee Granny - that all sounds delicious!

WeeGranny, you're doing well keeping to the OJ with all the pre-Christmas activities, parties and meals.

We went to a Ladies' Evening last night. It was a 4 course meal, very nice, but the best bit was the cheese board which was excellent! I was so glad I'd saved a bit of room for that. I was driving so I only had a few sips of wine for the toasts. But it was a late night, and I really didn't feel like getting up at 7.30 this morning. We skipped breakfast and had a sandwich lunch, so I'm starting to think about dinner now! LOL I definitely need an early night tonight! Oh dear, I think my days of partying and dancing till dawn are over.

I know feeling Daisy. I have loads of invitations to Christmas events and I know I will be exhausted and cranky if I accept them all.

We have channel four "A place in the Sun" on as it is featuring Tobago. It certainly looks rather lovely.

It was supposed to be a quiet day in the Zizi household today but after son picked us up to collect the car we popped in to see Ben as they go on holiday on Wednesday and mummy and Ben immediately go to Manchester when they get back so we won't see him for over a month. Then we went to the garden centre to get wall flowers for the front garden bed and a winter hanging basket. It is not worth making one up yourself as they are so cheap in the garden centres. Then we went to pick up Ben's Christmas present which is an XBox one controller which lights up and does stuff that I don't understand. I have lots of other stuff as well for them. After that we went to Cost Co where I bought a case of six bottles of white wine, some more Christmas presents for the children and some bits like the orange juice that the husband likes so much. Came home and helped to put the wall flowers in, repotted one of my house plants, husband walked mud up the stairs, into the hall and sitting room and said "oh I forgot to take my shoes off at the door". Mmm yes dear I can see that. Now you all know I am not by any means a bleach babe but when he emerged from the kitchen with a wet tea towel to rub the mud out of the carpet I was about to brain him!

Tonight we are having roast pork. He is at work with his students tomorrow, I am working from home. I need to get some fuel in my car and phone my fleet management company because my radio/phone display keeps turning itself off and then when it turns itself back on the radio changes channels. Also the auto stop/start has stopped working. Normally I wouldn't bother to worry about that but I may have to drive into London when I am back in my real life job and some of the London borough are talking about fining people who sit in traffic with their engines running.

So much to think about ......

Zizi - that last comment is so true - life seems very complex these days. Is it us making it that way, or is life just getting more and more complicated.

The only noticeable things I've done today is wash our bedding, make a gluten-free loaf for DS2 who has just discovered that gluten is a problem for him, and prepare all the ingredients for Plant's delicious mincemeat, I may have to double check the brandy though!!! Hic!

He ok but won't be coming home for a few days they waiting to see today we hope what bugs are showing up exactly , they now talking about maybe taking his line out till its needed again but each Dr has a different view , his own Dr may call in to see him and decide what needs doing apart from all the drips with things going in he says he feels good 😀
