Oh dear Oma,that made me giggle. Been round to parents and got jobs done. Don't think I have much to do today. While at parents, I found a sparkly stone on the floor.Hubby seems to think it's a real diamond. It isn't one mine, so been ringing round the family,to see if anyone has lost one out of their jewellery.
Just got one sister in law to ask, but she is away, will check with her when she comes back. I have put it in a safe place, cos if dad sees anything lying around,he's likely to throw it away.

Nanto - it could be the Kohinoor diamond! How exciting, and how awful if your Dad threw it away!

Oma - you'll be like a new woman after all those appointments!

Aggie - I hope your OH is soon installed in the new groundfloor room. Did he like it from the pictures? I'm sure he was pleased to see both you and the chocolate.

Qwerty - that good news, you're taking life a bit easier. I'm sure it will help.

Today has been busy for me. GD2 is full of mischief and if you say 'no' to her she laughs her head off - and then carries on with what she shouldn't have been doing in the first place. I always change her upstairs, on her mum and dad's bed (saves bending too much!) Then, having bagged the used nappy up I throw it out of the bedroom window because the dustbin is just below. Today she really wanted to do this, and I can see nappies won't be tho only things landing on the patio! I think I'll have to be more careful! I managed to take her and their dog for a short walk between showers, with GD2 proudly wearing her new wellies with pull-up handles! Their neighbour, the postman and assorted passersby were amused to hear her saying 'Bye, bye, puddle' to every one she saw - and paddled in!

Youngest threw one of her new shoes out the car window last week , they were new for her starting Playschool . She is four , I won't mind her , sorry but she is too much of a handful , jigsaws were scattered last time she was here , I pinned her arms down and made her dad lift all the pieces , kept asking her to help , but every time I let go she scattered more pieces , she went home with tears and no sweets .
I throw the sheets etc over the bannisters for the wash and wondered if she had seen that , but I don't think so

          Raining quite heavily.

Hope all the kids stop throwing thing out/about soon.

Daisy, somehow I don't think it's the Kohinoor diamond.

Aggie, did you get a carpet sorted, and did Jim like the room when you showed him the photos.

Her team came first in the first days play and 3rd in the second day She came home with 2 bottles of wine, and lots of pride

Was in a meeting all day yesterday in Slough, lots of phone calls this morning. Nipped out this morning to get some milk having dropped a 2 pint bottle all over the flipping floor! I have cleaned it up and hope none has run under the units or the kitchen will start stinking! When I went out I pulled some leggings and a thin jumper on, got downstairs and opened the door and my goodness it was cold. Back upstairs for rain Mac which is wind proof and I have to say that it is so efficient that when I get on a bus or train I have to take it off as I get too hot!

Talking of throwing things out: when my son was tiny I saved to buy him his first pair of Clarkes T bar shoes. At the time I was very very poor. I was so proud of those shoes. He was still in his pram and I walked him down to the river at Twickenham to see the ducks. He had had the shoes for all of 10 minutes. Before I could stop him, off came one of them and in he river it went with no chance of saving it. I cried!

So something else: I told you about the van for sale stuck outside our place which I put a note on (couple of weeks ago) it got moved about a mile away and then suddenly turned up along this stretch of road again but outside of the cottages next door. Husband was walking back from work and saw someone from the cottages doing something with the van. Found out later that it is someone in the cottages now running a car sales business and his neighbours were not having any of it and put plastic bags over the for sale sign. He moved it elsewhere. He does however have two enormous 4x4 vehicles outside some houses along the road. I know people have to make a living but .....

I would have cried over the shoe incident ZIZ.

Off to see granddaughter later. It's her 21st on the 29th, but they are going away this week. they don't get back until the 30th, so we are delivering her cards and pressies early.

It is really annoying when someone runs a business from home without permission, especially when it involves vehicles
