DD1 told me tonight that they (parents) were asked to collect their children earlier from school. The school had been quickly evacuated as someone had rung school saying there was a bomb. Thank goodness it was a false alarm. What imbecile does this sort of thing? Senseless.

Been to Joshua leaving assembly what an emotional morning , they put on a show first called Bidding has talent each one did a piece , Singing, Guitar , Karate, Dancing , Josh did football tricks , one girl a very shy nervous little thing got up and sang frozen at the end she threw her arms in the air and shouted yes she was so proud of herself the clapping went on for ages for her , then at the end they did a slide show of pictures from Nursery till now to show how they have grown and blossomed, not a dry eye in the whole Hall from parents teachers and pupils , wonderful 😊

Oma - I'm teary just reading about the leaving assembly. I couldn't go to GS2's, or their show last night. I'll put a photo in my Media. They did Joseph and his mum said GS was a natural! She might be a bit biased. Then this morning he had his Grade 1 Piano exam, and his leaving disco tonight! It seems such a big step leaving primary and going to secondary school, doesn't it! GS2 has had a brilliant year this year and I hope it will give him confidence going into the secondary school. Don't you wish they'd got just another year in their lovely primaries! Next year (July 17) GD1 will be changing schools - she's at an Infants school and starts at the Junior school in Year 3, and at the same time GD2 will start Infants school. I think I'd better stock up on tissues!!

Afternoon ladies, Oma I hope your brother is soon on the mend. M and T came out with their school reports yesterday, handed over to Daddy for them to open at home with Mummy. I will hear the results on Sunday as we are going out to dinner with DD, SIL and girls, early birthday dinner for Grampy as they are away on his actual birthday on the 21st. Been making creme brulee for dessert tomorrow as my sister and her hubby are here for dinner. Now off to change as going to see my dear friend at PGH, she had surgery on her foot 4 weeks ago and although she kept telling them on her weekly visits that she thought it was infected and also smelt infected they poo hooed her. Now she is in hospital with a deep infection and is having surgery to cut it out. She had the op at BGH, think they have some questions to answer. This is the friend whose anniversary we celebrated last Saturday.

Libra that's awful about your friend's foot. Surely they should be on the look out for potential infections especially when the patient herself is worried.I do hope the op goes well and she's soon back home.
Oma I can imagine the leaver's assembly being very emotional. DD has already been through it with GD and next week it will be a repeat performance for GS. D D fully expects to be crying most of the day.
GS also had a very good report and some of the things his teacher said were heartfelt and very moving.She is leaving for Maternity leave at the end of term so GS was very lucky to have had her as she is so popular and an excellent teacher.She is very small in stature and some of her class are so tall you can lose her in a crowd of them.
Also Oma I hope your brother is doing well and feeling better after the shock of falling ill at the gym and Libra enjoy your celebrations.

Well my Brother spent most of today at hospital having more tests and they confirmed it was a stroke put him on Statin, s and Warfrin for life told him it's a warning to slow down and although once he's stabilised he can still go to the gym it has to be gentle exercise not the full on stuff he's been doing , he's not happy he can't drive for 4 weeks but it's a small price to pay I think ,
