I did mums gardening, and she was pleased. It wasn't a lot of gardening, but it was a hot day and I was in full sun . I was very glad of the cup of tea mum gave me afterwards and even more glad of the cool shower and change of clothes when I got home!
DD texted me to see that she and her sister and the children were going to park which was celebrating its 95th birthday today, so we joined them. It was very nice to spend time with everyone.

Late yesterday evening I decided to have a look at my emails and what a lovely surprise there was amongst the usual sort I tend to get. Every day I recive emails from the likes of eBay, Tesco, Sky etc; but one particular email caught my eye. It was from our fantastic team here at GransRus congratulating me on the birth of my GS.
Thankyou so much ladies. It was a lovely surprise and so thoughtful of you. It really made my day. I'm going to see him tomorrow so I am looking forward to lots of cuddles.
It looks like it's going to be another nice day here again today but everyone take care as the newspapers are warning that us elderly folk , that's any of us over the age of 60 !!! , should be aware that the extreme heat can be fatal to us.
For a start I don't happen to think that 60 is elderly and it's not just me that thinks that. This government has decided that I'm far to young to receive my state pension at 60 so they are clinging to it for 6 years plus their aim is to get the pension age up to 70 .Also we didn't come down in the last shower. I'm fairly certain most of us picked up a few lessons along the way as we grew from childhood through to the age we are now and one of them would have been.....Stay out of the sun, drink plenty of fluids and don't over do things.Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning
Mimi, a new grandchild is a special event and GC are the reason for our forum. We love to send cards
I agree that us 'elderly' folk will somehow survive the heat
I'm going out with my aunt this morning. We are going for coffee to a lavender farm. It will smell wonderful on a warm breezy day like this.
Work for me later, but not until 6.30.
Have a good day everyone.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Typical, when the sky's cloudless and sun's shining I have to go and fall foul of this horrible stomach virus that's doing the rounds! Rest and plenty to drink and rehydration sachets which taste vile, but hopefully they'll help recovery.
Wouldn't dared have had stewed rhubarb Qwerty in my condition. However washing has been done and OH has gone off to get himself something for his dinner.
Hope everyone else is well.xBelieve you can and you're halfway there.
