Morning ladies not as dull as yesterday but still not a brilliant day .
I won't be going anywhere today woke with two slits for eyes all swollen and itchy I have taken my antihistamines so fingers crossed they work , it can't be pollen as the count was low but the forestry were out behind our house yesterday with those huge machines cutting the trees and shrubs so could be that .

      Good morning

Keep away from that paint mimi!!

That sounds awful Oma, I hope the antihistamines help.

This morning I am going with a friend to view a house for sale in our village. This is one of the couple who are splitting up. OH is golfing, so I have been co-opted to go!

We go on holiday on Friday and I have a busy week ahead, so I may make a start on packing today, and making up the spare bed for the cat sitters . Unfortunately different ones to the Stratford sitter, so all bedding needs changing!

Good morning! Back now from Portugal and to catch up reading your posts, it will probably take me a few days! We had a great couple of weeks although we had to buy a new tv and get the drains unblocked! So not all relaxation.... our gs 1st birthday party tomorrow so looking forward to that.

Afternoon ladies. Oma, hope you're feeling better and your eyes are back to normal.

had a very enjoyable morning at my Family History group, lots of interesting stories to listen to and came home with a few more tips on my research. Have spent a good couple of hours in the computer but now my head is spinning so have out it all away, I get so engrossed time just flies

going to to open a bottle of wine and relax this evening.

Welcome back Avo, good idea about the wine Enfys!

I viewed 2 houses with my friend. The first needed too much work - lots of damp etc. The 2nd was very nice, just needed a lick of paint, but is slightly out of her price range. She was very taken with that one though.
She has a couple more to see, but it's all academic anyway, until they sell theirs. They have a nice house in a popular area, but you can never predict how these things will go.
She bought me lunch between the viewings

Another night ahead stuck upstairs lies ahead for me, while OH watches yet more football!!

Sorry to hear about your eyes Oma, hope they clear up soon.

lovely day in Devon today, rather disappointed that my friend is ill so will not be able to see her, hoping she will be better next week before we come home. We have sampled the two locals and tomorrow we are hoping to go to the coast. GD enjoying her riding.

Hope the antihistamines kicked in Oma.

                  Welcome back Avo.

We went into town today, needed a few things.

Weather not been brilliant, had the odd glimmer of sun.

It's a bit late to say good morning', but i didn't get as far as Chat Box this morning.

Plant - the north Devon coast is fantastic - wherever you go tomorrow I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Welcome back, Avo, I hope we can conjure up some decent Portuguese weather for you.

Oma - I bet it was all the tree work that you've reacted to. I hope you're feeling better now.

Mimi - well done to your two GCs. I hope the hospice raised lots of money.

Enfys - it's fascinating hearing about other people's lives, isn't it. I keep trying to find a bit of time to carry on with my family history, but you need at least a couple of hours to do anything useful, I find. It often takes me ages to just to pick up where I left off last time!

Nanto - we had odd glimmers os sun too, and it got quite warm and heavy this afternoon.

I always wash my Knicks and bras and camisoles by hand . Wanted to dry them outside today but guess what? YEP it rained. It was only a short shower but in the end I decided not to risk it, I bought a pair of Cotten patterned trousers from Tesco today. Got them home and tried them on (usually trousers and skirts are too long) and realised that I had walked out with a security tag on them. Have to go back tomorrow to get it removed, thank goodness I am one who keeps till receipts.

it is, allegedly, going to be a nice day tomorrow so I will wash towels, bed linen and work whites and then call my ironing fairy. I am away Monday and Tuesday in Birmingham. I am going Monday and staying over and then meeting a colleague to get a six minute ride to Smethick - I don't think that is how it is spelt - for a meeting and hopefully we can get the 2.50 pm train back to Euston together. Colleague is fasting for Ramadan so he doesn't want to stay over. Strange that I can be on a train from Birmingham to London for one hour and ten minutes and then it will take me more time than that to get home to Heathrow which is a fraction of the distance.

Rest of the week is a bit manic including my interview at Canary Wharf. Might not manage to get in here much after Monday night for a while.

Doing a chicken roast with fizz tomorrow for husband. Hope the kids actually think about the fact that he is on shift and turn up when he gets home rather than in the morning when he will be working, Doubt we will see middle son who seems to be getting further and further away.

                          Good Sunday morning, ladies.

It feels a bit chilly here - I hope it brightens up and the rain takes a day off! I've got a busy week ahead (not as manic as Zizi' though!) with extra time with GDs for various reasons. I realised yesterday that I desperately need new trainers, but I don't know when I'll get a chance to go shopping - unless I take GD1 with me tomorrow morning.

Whatever you're doing today, have a good Father's Day.

Dull, but no rain. The sun appeared about 6pm yesterday!
