Avo be aware it is gong to be very warm in London at the weekend. We are trotting off to a nice hotel in Henley on Thames for Sunday night as it is our 24th wedding anniversary Monday. Had the new boiler put in today. We have a thingie that connects to the Internet and our phones and we can turn it on when we are away. No I am not sure either but let's see how it goes, I might have to speak to five year old Sadie before the weekend. She will know what to do......The original boiler was very badly installed and Lee, the plumber, who we have known since he was a child, has done a sterling job. It is surprising that we have not been electrocuted given the things he has found.

PLant I hope you are feeling better. Off to Birmingham tomorrow, not looking forward to it......

I think I'd go for the dress and bright cardigan etc, but really whatever feels comfortable to you as it's going to be a long day. I've never seen Show Boat, but it's supposed to be one of the best musicals of all time isn't it.

Clover - Enjoy your trip to visit your GCs and the gorgeous Luna. I bet she's growing fast. Interesting comment from the trainer we're taking Eva to today. She said don't try and teach a puppy too much to quickly - just take everything slowly. It made sense when you think how short an attention span a baby or toddler has. Anyway have a lovely, lovely time. xx

Nanto - it's quite satisfying isn't it when you get everything done that you'd planned. Glad to see your OH is keeping busy. Mine is still sorting out the garage. It's been a long job but he's nearly finished it now. Phewwww

Oma - you must have been really pleased to see your nephew and his dad - especially so soon after his back op.

Qwerty - I hpe you have had a relaxing evening after your busy 2 days with the twins.

Good morning one and all. Looks like it will be another lovely day.

Clover, enjoy your trip, I bet you are looking forward to it.

Hubby sorted the garage last year. He was supposed to be getting rid of a lot of junk. Then he would say ooo that might come in handy/ if I get rid of that I bet someone will ask if iv'e got one those, needless to say not much got thrown out.He did put some more shelves in though,so it did get tidied up.

              Good morning everyone.

Clover, enjoy your trip, GC and puppy

Oma, good to hear OH is driving a little

A man came to fit our new back door at 8 am. A bit early for my liking, but we really needed one!

Soon I am going to look after GS1 while his mummy goes to a meeting. From there to my mums, then with her to see my sister. Lots of driving today!! I will be home this evening to catch up on all your posts!

Lovely sunny morning here. Off shortly for a coffee morning with our local branch of the National Trust, then going to see all the bluebells at a local beauty spot. The forecast is very good for today so we are taking a picnic โ˜€๏ธ. Hope all goes well at the hospital Oma, have a good day everyone

Good Thursday morning everyone. The sun is shining and it's already fairly warm here. At long last it feels that winter is behind us!

I should have been travelling up to DS1's today for a meeting with GS1's specialist, but the doctor has cancelled - she's got a tummy bug, poor lady. I'd already cried off lunch with friends to go to this meeting, but I'm feeling tired this morning, so might just have an easy day.

Oma - I hope B's appointment goes well. It's good to hear he's getting out and about in the car a bit. I don't think you ever stop missing a lovely dad. xx

Clover - I hope you can get some puppy photos over the week-end. Have a lovely time.

Gem - ae you pleased with your new back door? It sounds like a busy day for you.

Enfys - Enjoy your coffee morning and picnic.

Nanto - your OH sounds exactly like mine. He's said those words so many times!! But this time he has realised he had to make some tough decisions and he's taken about 3 or 4 trailer loads down to the tip already, plus putting some items he's never used onto eBay. I bet the day will come, though, when he says "I knew I should have kept so-and-so"

Well I'm ready for this beautiful weather, it was a joy out walking this morning. The weekend is supposed to be even warmer, only got M to collect from school as T is home with Mum with a tummy bug. She vomited on friday night when they were camping poor DD was in the shower facilities at 4am with her as she threw up all over herself and the bedding. Got better and now it has resurfaced poor love. So she is fasting today and not very happy about it. Hope hospital goes well Oma, and planta hope your not feeling to sore.

Oma - really good to hear B's blood results are good again. It's the skilled nursing he gets at home that does it. How lovely to be able to have a chat with your sister about your Dad. Sadly, I know almost no-one I can talk about my dad to. I've got no brothers or sisters, and my younger cousin doesn't remember that much about him as we moved away when he was just a toddler. There is just one friend who is a few years older than me who knew him. Enjoy your chat. xx

LG - yes, it's fantastic weather! We're all ready for it after a long dreary winter. Poor T - I hope she's ok for the week-end.

Pleased to hear Brians bloods are ok, and Oma, treasure your memories of your dad.
Libra, hope T is feeling better soon.

Daisy not as relaxing a day as one would one would the new worktops and sink go in tomorrow so OH has had to disconnected the gas pipe and removed the hob and disconnected the water to get the new sink in . I have had to empty the top shelves of the base cupboards isn't it surprising when the kitchen is empty how big it looks!, oh and the fridge freezer is on the blink it's icing up all the time nearly broke a tooth on a cherry tomato๐Ÿ™„ So no water downstairs so no cleaning ๐Ÿ˜‚

Qwerty - you don't have to rip the kitchen apart to avoid the cleaning, hun. Just take a day off. Actually I remember going through exactly the same process when we had new work surfaces put in our kitchen about 18 months ago. I emptied all the bas cupboards because they were way overdue for a clean out and it made me tidy them up a bit. Don't forget to take some photos when it's all finished - I bet it will look great.
