Aggie, if you access this chat thread via New Topics, you will notice 2 little blue boxes with arrows in them, one to the left, one to the right of the title. The one to the right takes you to the latest post. The one to the left takes you to the first UNREAD post, so this is the one you want. Try it, it should make it a lot easier

Aggie - you could also change your User Profile so that you get the newest messages in a thread at the top instead of the bottom, but you would have to do that for all threads, not just the Chatbox thread. You can change it yourself - or we could do it for you.

Just in case there's anybody who hasn't had a 'Mouse Over' experience yet, if you put your mouse pointer on, say, the little blue boxes mentioned by Gemini, your pointer will change to a hand and a little text box will appear telling you what that icon does. It's useful if you're trying out functions of the forum that are new to you.

Plant - thank you. Yes, I think he's pretty skilled with his gouger etc! And it certainly keeps him out of mischief!

Oma - I'm pleased to hear Brian is feeling better today - despite the cold weather. xx

Freezing here, the wind could cut you in half. A working weekend covering for usual cook roast pork and all the trimmings, watercress soup to start, for dessert Baileys bread and butter pud. 48 diners tomorrow oh joy !!!

Libra, I don't envy you one bit, having to cook for that many.
No wind here now,but it's certainly bitter cold.

                          Good morning, Nanto and everyone.

We have had a spectacular sunrise this morning. We also had the first frost of the winter last night!

Have a good day, one and all.

Very very frosty here too. I woke in the night and thought it had snowed it was so thick! I just wrote all of this and it disappeared! Yesterday I tried to post something and I kept getting a box with an exclamation mark and the word alert, don't understand why, perhaps the site was telling me to stop being boring.......

Zizi - If you get that Alert warning again, do let us know. I think it happens sometimes if there's a brief break in your internet connection or if the forum is auto-saving your post. It's probably just 'one of those things'. Funnily enough I was trying to like a post on this thread at exactly the same time as you posted, and the 'like' didn't come up. I did it again and it was ok.
