Enfy - it's nice and sunny here, too! We both love chutney and make a lot from surplus produce! How lovely to have a store of apples on hand for the winter. It always feels good being able to take a bag of cooked/stewed apples out of the freezer for an apple pie!

I got up about half past nine, had a punt around looking at news etc. husband is running a new entrant apprenticeship course from tomorrow for six weeks and he likes his students to have wallet files, none of the other trainers bother so of course we have to buy them. CostCo were advertising 50 for £12 but when we went there they didn't have any, I knew the ones in Tesco were £2 for five and he has twenty students so we decided to go to the pound shop on the way home. Whilst there we bought three slumber bags with pillows for the children for £16 for part of their Christmas present and a case of wine which cost only £4.47 a bottle it is Hardys so quite a good brand and much cheaper than the £6.50/7.00 ish Hardys cost from the supermarkets. Apart from that we bought juice and eggs. Then we popped off to see Ben. There is some news on him but I will put it on YEO when we have verification. Then it was off to the pound shop, well it isn't a pound shop really but it is cheap stuff, and got the folders. I remembered we were also going to get whistles from my store unit but decided to buy some from there as going to the unit would have been another half an hour.
Came home, hung the washing, fresh bedding on. We have just swapped to the winter duvet, we are probably going to be sweltering tonight! looked through the TV pages, rubbish. Looking forward to Strictly tonight and Downtown. Will have to find something to watch when he turns over to see the end of X Factor.
Beef for dinner, well early dinner or late lunch. He is cooking.............If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Hello everyone
We went to the coast too. About 55 miles drive each way for us. We have talked about a day at the coast a few times lately and it never came off. Today it did. We drove to Whitby, then Sandsend, ending up in Staithes. We had a cuppa and local Cobble Cake, which was lovely. The weather was wonderful. We finished with a Sunday roast at 5ish on the way home. A really nice day.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning everyone.
I hope the appointment goes well Nan2.
Cold, dull, drizzly morning here.
I have few jobs to do for my mum this morning. Then collecting GS from nursery and having him here for the afternoon and his tea. We are eating at DD3s house tonight. Her OH is a wonderful cook“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
