Poor DDs car Gem , more expense looking for another one .

    Plant
    What a mix up .

    Enfys
Sounds like it will be a good walk with the path widened,
We started of quite bright but it came in dark and raining now

    Nanto
We like pancakes at any time , both ordinary and American pancakes.

    Daisy
just the same as iced buns but with either sultanas , currants, or raisins in , depending where you buy them 😁
Often they are filled with cream but the ones we bought haven’t cream in .

        Gem, our posts keep crossing!

I missed your comment earlier about your DD's car being written off. Is she very upset? What a nuisance, apart from anything else. Has she got any thoughts about what she will replace it with? I presume it's covered by insurance in the car park - I do hope so.

Oma, I've never seen them! I must pay more attention! Although unlike Gem, I'd avoid the cream ones.

Enfys, widening paths through the woods makes walking much easier - no wonder it's popular.

          Good morning.
The wind has calmed down, but apparently there is more to come tonight.

Plant, certainly been a mix up.

Gem, sorry to hear about DD's car. Now she has got the hassle of getting another.

Daisy, I'm sure the bedroom wasn't as bad as it sounded.

Hubby meeting his pal this morning ,so I'm going with him. We'll meet up later and go for coffee.
I haven't really been out since last Tuesday.
As much as I love our house/home, I do like to get out for a couple of hours.
I don't want much in town, but I'm quite happy to browse.

Hubby says just do a pizza for dinner, so that's sorted.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

            Good morning one and all.

            Nan2 I love that l graphic!
It does us good to get out, especially on these long dark winter days

Library morning for me. GS1 from school. I don't know about the youth club.
OH is knowledge about car buying so I expect she will be required to help DD1 in choosing a new one. An expense she can definitely do without I'm sure.

Good morning, I didn't get the dry needling as it wasn't a muscle, it was superficial vein thrombosis, probably caused by standing too long doing the Christmas lunches etc.

Gem, I hope your DD1 soon gets the car problem sorted out.

              I will catch up later.

I almost got knocked off the bike yesterday afternoon, I always put my hand out, look to see what is coming, the silly man in the car can't have been paying attention, I managed to swerve as he braked. It happens far too often.

                Morning everyone

                Nanto
Sometimes we just need a little time away from the house and chores ,enjoy your time out , a pizza will do fine I’m sure 😁

                Gem
Hope GS goes to his club , S is like B when it comes to cars I’m sure she will be a great help to DD ,

We popped to Lidl for fresh bread coming out of the ovens , then into the Β£ shop I wanted a dabber thingy for my iPad
came home and I’m having a nice cup of tea it’s freezing out there.

I was up really early so I did what housework needed doing ,
Touched up a bit of paint on the door where some had been knocked off when I banged the step ladders into it the other day
I then stood in a hot shower for a while just to warm my bones they feel all aching today.

People coming to replace the Smart meter today , not so long ago it was put in .
We didn’t want one but had too for the car charger.

Its our Martins Birthday today , you can imagine the banter that has gone on between him and B , they are rude to each other 🀣🀣🀣

Nanto, love the graphic. Enjoy your trip to town. Good luck with the competitions, what have you won in the past?

Oma, pleased to hear you had a good nights sleep. I hope Martin has a good birthday.

Daisy, you seem to be catching the rain on your walks.

Enfys, your walk sounds enjoyable. The woods sound inviting.

Gemini, So sorry to hear about your DD’s car, she certainly could do without that worry.

GD & H moving in today, DD and Sil left very early this morning. DD was hoping they didn’t have the wind when flying. They are going to Southern Spain.

Good Tuesday morning, everyone. It's wet and blustery here. Still, I prefer it to the freezing weather we've had recently.

Nanto, there's not much incentive to go anywhere at this time of year, but you do need to get out a bit, I find. For me there's always a dog willing to take me out, but I'd have to go somewhere shopping or something just to get outside. Enjoy the pizza.

Gem, I hope the library is nice and warm. I hope GS1 goes to his youth club. Did you say DD1 would be able to have a hire car while she's getting hers replaced? It must be very inconvenient for her if not - to say nothing of the expense. Has she got any thoughts on what kind of car she wants? My DS1 commented when they were looking for a car for GS2 last week, that the prices of second hand cars have shot up since they last bought one, which was only a couple of years ago.

Lizzie, I'm glad you didn't have to have the dry needling, but I hope the vein is ok. Does it ache? How frightening that a car didn't see you on your bike. I'm sure there are too many distractions in modern cars, what with sat navs, phones and all the bells and whistles. I can quite understand why so many cyclists wear head cams these days, although it's not much consolation if you get knocked off by a distracted car driver.

Oma, that feeling when the cold seems to get into your bones is horrible. I hope the warm shower helped, keep warm. You've had a busy start to the day. Smart meters seem to be a problem for a lot of people, and I think it's awful that you 'have' to have one just because you got an electric car. I hope Martin has a good day. Will you and B be seeing him?

Plant, is H excited to be staying with you? I'm sure you will enjoy having her and your GD1's company for a few days. Safe journey to your DD and SiL. It's scary being a passenger when a plane is landing in windy conditions, but the pilots don't take risks. I hope the weather in southern Spain is good for them.

I had an early (for me) start this morning - went to the dentists for a check up, and came out with compliments on my brushing techniques and a bruised credit card! I haven't got any plans for the rest of the day, but might persuade myself to do some ironing.

                        Hello again

Lizzie I worry about everyone who cycles, you included .

                        Happy Birthday to Martin, Oma!

I hope your DD's flight to Spain took off on time and was smooth Plant.

Wet and windy here too Daisy. A dentist trip is always expensive these days isn't it?

DD has now got a little hire car, courtesy of the insurance. The garage man told DD her car would be written off, but unless and until the insurance people declare it she won't be car hunting.

OH is playing golf, I think. If they have any sense they will have retired to the clubhouse some time ago
It was nice and dry and warm in the library, and I wait in the car for GS1, so I can't complain.

image.pngThis is how our streets were last week! I have just read that there are so many complaining to the council about it.

Lizzie, glad you are ok.That street looks horrendous.
Our youngest DS is a cyclist,he goes everywhere on it.

Plant, i've have some really good prizes in the past, but haven't won anything for ages.
Hope DD and SIL got off ok.

                            I had a good browse in town,bought a few bits,nothing special.

Gem, I'm glad DD has at least got a hire car so she's not totally stranded. When you rely on your car every day being without it makes life really hard. Fingers crossed that the insurance assessor sees her car quickly so the claim can be processed. How did the golf go today? Did S get home freezing cold, soaking wet or both?

Lizzie, that street looks horrendous. No wonder people are complaining. Is that man on skates?

Oma, Martin would be worried if B wasn't rude to him! I hope he's had a good day, even though he's working. I bet the postman has a good chuckle.

Plant, any news from the holiday makers - I hope they've arrived safely.

Nanto, it sounds as though it's time for a winning streak for you. Nice to have a browse round - hopefully the weather didn't put you off.

I don't think Enfys would have enjoyed a walk so much today. It's been very wet and stormy here. I did one lot of washing, folded up all the stuff that didn't need ironing and spent quite a lot of time on the phone. I was totally uninspired about dinner though. We ended up with omelettes with diced fried potatoes, mushrooms and tomatoes with a salad. Not really bad weather food, but I didn't feel like doing much.

I took Eva out about 4 o'clock, thinking she would only want to go round the little block, but she gave out a very clear message that she wanted a longer walk. It's quite a persuasive technique when she just stands perfectly still and gives you a "look"!! At least it wasn't raining this time. The wind's still howling outside.

GS1 went to his friends house after tea so I dropped him there. This was the boy that GS stepped in to protect last week and ended up being pushed downstairs for his trouble. They must have decided to give the club a miss this week.

We have had fun and games here with water pouring through the dining room light fitting
We knew we must have a leak in the system somewhere as the boiler pressure is constantly dropping. We couldn't find it. Now we have. Our lovely neighbour C came round and he and S spent 2 hours moving furniture and sawing floorboards. We haven't found the exact spot. Our plumber can't come to look at it until Thursday, so no heating until then.
Luckily it's not as cold now and we have the living room gas fire and a plug in heater we can use.
