Busy morning for me.
Need to transfer stuff from the old freezer to the new one.
I want to wash a load darks.
Hairdresser coming at 10.30. She usually comes earlier but she has to go somewhere first.
Not sure what the weather forecast is, but would be nice if I can get the washing out on the line.

Dinner is thin fries, grillsteaks, peas and sweetcorn.

Baby GS3 day today. The golf course is at last open again, so it will be just the two of us for a lot of the day.

Good Thursday morning, everyone.

I didn't get back online yesterday for the very best of reasons. OH arrived here just as I was getting lunch for me and GS2, and then just before dinner DS and DIL arrived!! DS had been discharged from the hospital and they thought they would surprise us. They certainly did that. He was very tired, and a bit wobbly, but the only painkillers he's on are paracetemol. He tucked in to spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce plus garlic bread, so he certainly hasn't lost his appetite. He has to go back up to London on Tuesday to have the stapled removed - he's got an enormous scar.

Not sure how long we are staying - it depends on how DS's mobility is. He needs someone with im to go up and down stairs but that should improve fairly rapidly.

Thank you again for all your love and support. It has been a real comfort to me.

We then popped to Morrisons for a few bits ,
I have a Blood test at 12.50 but I have had to get changed before I go ,
MIL is a chain smoker and we stink of smoke Everytime we come out .

Daisy that's wonderful news.

Oma after I had been to my mum's house I used to smell of cigarette smoke. I used to come home and shower as my hair also smelt smokey.

Nan2 how are you getting on with the new freezer .

OH cleaned the filter in the washing machine this morning . He was adamant that he would do it as it involves getting down on to our knees and the last time I did it I got stuck. I had to crawl on my hands and knees into the sitting room and grab hold of the sofa to get back up into a standing position!

I used to go to my mum's in clothes that were ready for the wash in her later years when she spent most of her time in one room, smoking with door and window closed!

Oma, OH will carry baby up before she leaves for golf and we are planning him coming down me on my bottom with him on my knee. I will report back.

Pleased to say my aids are free, new hearing test in 3 months. I even get my batteries free.
Just been out for Brunch, it is H’s 3rd Birthday. Lovely meal in Garden Centre, GD and her OH are taking H to look at a pre-school place this afternoon. I saw a very nice sun room at the garden centre, need one to replace mine which is falling to bits, will probably go ahead with this one, just need to confirm the measurements.


Daisy, amazing recovery for your DS after what sounded like invasive surgery. Pleased to hear Eva has had her staples out so J can now join you.

A new-sun room how exciting ,
My DD bought one last year it has a little shed attached to the side , she uses it a lot in the summer ,

I would sit on the stairs with J when he was little and we would bum shuffle down each step together side by side.
O was something else he was a stubborn baby and would insist from as soon as he could walk to do it himself 🙄😁

I have many a time got on the floor only for my hips to lock and Ive bum shuffled all the way into the sitting room to haul myself up by the sofa ,
Not the most elegant or pretty sight ,
I can’t kneel due to knacked knees 🤣 so getting down to do skirtings or like you clean the filter must be done on my bum ,
Its a block and tackle job getting me up again 🤣🤣🤣
As Gem said the joys of getting older .

Ive just done the ironing , I iron in the bedroom as it’s easier to do there and hang stuff straight up,
I iron in front of the window but today it’s so dark I had to put the light on .
It’s never actually lightened up all day , so miserable out .

I'm happy with the freezer. This morning i just bunged everything in,so we could get the old freezer out.
It needs arranging to my liking,but been busy with other jobs.
I did the washing,but it wasn't suitable weather to hang it out.
Been dark and miserable all day. Had to have the kitchen light on all of the time.

We had a lovely lunch with H and her parents, they went off to look at a pre=school? For her now she is 3.

The garden Center also sold sun rooms so with the help of my Sil I have ordered one to replace mine which is about to fall down. Sil got me a good deal. The day of spending money, I have also just ordered a new electric blanket, mine only heats one side, I think I need a new duvet too.

Going to organise the new freezer soon.
Plenty of other little jobs to do.
We haven't got any steak and onions pies in the freezer, so meat and onions are in the slow cooker.
DS1 and GD2 coming for dinner, we are having fish and chips, so no cooking.
