Gemini, that sounds very wise of you not to try and fit so much in before Tues

Nanto, you are such an early bird.

Daisy, Try and find some time for yourself in your busy week.

      Morning Ladies

Gem you need to take it easy now , remember it’s only a few mor days you need to be calm and relaxed ,

      Nanto
How nice to sit out with a cold drink , they probably won’t get that opportunity when they come home 😁

Ive just emptied the fridge and thrown away half jars of stuff not getting used ,
some of cheeses were a bit dry around the edges so I cut those bits off grated the rest and put it in the freezer .
Gave it a good wash out , it’s all nice and shiney and organised till B opens the door and just chucks things in ,

I separated and vacuum packed the chicken breasts I bought yesterday , they are in the freezer
Then I hand washed a couple of bras.

B had cleaned the oven on Wednesday but didn’t get the door cleaned before we got company so he’s done that this morning .
Im popping over to M&S and Home bargains then after lunch we going to get some Sour dough bread from a little artisan bakery that opens it’s back doors on a Thursday and Friday and sells its bread to the public ,
Its only open two hours but there are always queues ,

Nan2 and Oma, you are such early busy bees

I am still in bed. Off to use the pre op shower gel for the first time now. I have to use it on my hair today and no conditioner I dread to think how it will look!
I am allowed to wet it once it has dried however, and apply conditioner then.
A fine day is forecast here but it doesn't look like it right now.

Good Friday morning, everyone. It started a bit chilly this morning, but the sun's shining and it should be a nice day.

Gem, yes, get as much rest and sleep as you can before Tuesday. What time do you have to be at the hospital?n. I. hope the pre-op shampoo experience isn't too awful. At least you can put conditioner on after it's dried.

Oma, you've been a busy bee already! I did out fridge/freezers last week, and somehow they seemed bigger afterwards. . Oh dear, you've reminded me our oven needs cleaning.

Nanto, 33C is quite hot enough, isn't it, but a good excuse for DS and DIL to enjoy drinks in the shade. I hope your washing dries ok.

Plant, your cleaner sounds lovely. It's always a relief to take a load of rubbish to the tip, isn't it.

We'v done the bins, Sainsbury's have delivered - only one substitute this week! The driver was saying they're not very busy (for deliveries) at the moment. I want to get some washing done today - bedding mainly for the spare beds, and cut the lawn when the dew has dried off it.

I've now got a few days with nothing in the diary, so I'm going to do some sorting out that's been niggling me for ages. It's all stuff I can leave if I go off the idea!

            Have a good day everyone.

Oma, hairband or hair up is a good idea
Actually it's not too bad now it's dried. I will just put some frizz serum on before I go out. I have to wash it again with it on Sunday. We are eating out with friends that night so I will re-wet and apply conditioner that day.

Daisy, I have to be there at 7.30 on Tuesday morning. No drinks after 6.30 am and I have to do all the showering with that gel(but not hair) that day first. An early start
Make the most of the free days!

Went to get the sour dough bread after lunch to find they have closed down, went on their FB page and they said because of rising costs they would have had to charge £7 a loaf and they knew that wasn’t acceptable, plus they had to let staff go so they were working 18 hours a day and couldn’t keep it going .
Such a shame these independent businesses are going to the wall .

Hallo everyone, I am home again, I had a good drive home, no hold-ups this time! I was home at 10-15 then went to do the plants and do some shopping, came home and got my case unpacked and some things in the washer, they are all dry now, the new pannier I ordered arrived so I have fixed that on the bike this afternoon.

Oma, it is sad when shops have to close because of the rising costs, restaurants here are going through a rough time, but, the ones I past on my my rides seemed to be very busy, they are expensive though €13 for a lunch is a bit much I think! £3,50 for a coffee etc.

It is still warm after a cool start this morning.

Gem, you will be pampering yourself all day long!

The neighbour I go to the pool with has been in Lisbon for 10 days, they only saw the sun twice! It was 30+ here at home for her!

I asked the man where I was how he got the sunflowers on a stem? He bought the seeds 15 years ago and has had them ever since, so, I came home with sunflowers for the seeds, they won't be much use to me up here, maybe try one though next year, DIL2 has plenty of garden to grow them though.

Oma it is sad about the business. Our local artisan bakers is very expensive. Not many can afford to pay that nowadays.

                      Lizzie, welcome back
I saw your lovely photos on FB.

DD stayed for a chat when she collected the children. GD seemed good.

                        Welcome home Lizzie.

Oma, its awful to hear of another business closing.

Nephew and his wife called in this morning.
                        Stayed for tea and nibbles.

Gem, i've never heard of pre op shower gel before.

Daisy, good to hear you have a bit of time to yourself.

The weather has been lovely today, very warm in the sun.
Didn't take long for the washing to dry.

Welcome home the photos were lovely 😊

                          Gem
Good to hear GD is doing ok , must ease your mind a little.

                          Nanto
we have had rain all day

                          Daisy
Did you get your jobs done today or have a rest 😁

GS rang he was getting ready to go to the driving range ,
Hes settling ok , missing everyone and Lucie but getting used to it,
He said it was really hot and sunny in Leeds today.

DD has spent two days there , Had electrician going to fit bathroom light yesterday and a new bathroom extractor fan but it was the wrong type so coming back another day with it.

she stayed overnight as they were doing broadband and someone was going out to fix the latch on one of the windows, so she just worked from there and came home this afternoon.

I gave the bedrooms and bathroom a good clean today , it’s surprising how much dust and grit was on the windowsills with the windows being open all the time.

Lizzie, welcome back. I'm pleased you enjoyed your holiday.

Nanto, it was a nice surprise to see your nephew and his wife. You must always have a good supply of biscuits, cakes and nibbles for all your visitors who drop in.

Gem, did the serum on your hair help? It will certainly be an early start for you on Tuesday, but better that than hanging around for hours in the morning. I'm so pleased your GD has made a good start back at school. Fingers crossed that things will be better for her from now on. How are you feeling about Tuesday?

Oma, your GS is settling down well - I know you miss him, but it's good to hear he's enjoying himself (in between missing his family). What a shame the bakery had to close down. You'll have to encourage B to make his own sourdough bread.

We had a beautiful warm day today, so I got the lawn cut this afternoon. I'd almost finished when the mower battery ran out! It charged up quickly so I got it finished before I started getting dinner. We had to water the front garden and the pots at the back tonight - everything is so dry again. I washed loads of bedding out of the airing cupboard - everything seemed a bit sale and yukky somehow. I'll give the airing cupboard a good clean out tomorrow. One job off the list.

Nan2, my thread on the Health section explains about the shower gel.

Daisy, quite nervous about Tuesday, and my recovery and the pain, but upwards and onwards!

                                Good morning.

We are going into town today.
Got a few things on the list.

I want to do inside the conservatory before we go out. Didn't get it done yesterday with having visitors.

Off to have a read on Gems Post about the shower gel.

                                Have a good day ladies.
