we work well in our little kitchen , I don’t do much just help where needed , wash up ,make cake mixture , make scones etc B Does the bulk .

I have just done the ironing so that’s out of the way and made sure all the gifts we taking are bagged and ready to go .

We used to receive a card every year from someone we didn’t know , couldn’t send one back having no idea .
They stopped coming about 5 years ago so we none the wiser .

Just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas. Hope you are all keeping well, sorry I have t been around lately. Thank you Daisy and Gem for the Christmas cards, I will make an effort in the New Year to join in again more. All is well here, have been busy this last coup,e of weeks with different events but having a lazy day today. I will be at DDs tomorrow and Boxing Day then back to normal.

Blinis all ready to have their topping on tomorrow morning, overnight salad to be made now. I have put my presents under the tree so alls well. 18 here tomorrow morning prior to lunch then 10 for lunch, five of whom are veggies.

I doubt I shall be visiting here tomorrow, so have a lovely time with your families. I shall be thinking of you all especially Glamm.

We had a nice morning at OH's brothers. Both DDs and SILs and 3 GS. They live in a virtual mansion so plenty of room for us all.
GS2 spent the afternoon here, making the gingerbread house and all sorts of things. He was VERY excited about Santa coming when they left.

We are having lamb shanks for our Christmas Eve meal, followed by trifle

Very windy here Nan2 and even more so over at OH's brothers this morning as they are more rural and open.

I noticed on FB a couple of local attractions which run Christmas events had to close early today due to high winds. Some disappointed children I imagine.

Santa will be fine though. I reassured GS2 when he was here.

I managed to get to the cemetery today , OH wasn't well enough to come with me but as I approached MIL's grave I noticed SIL and her husband there , we'd barely started to chat when BIL turned up also !
Our Christmas plans have changed a bit, we were due to stop over night at DS and DIL tomorrow but OH feels he'd rather sleep in his own bed as he's not 100% , fingers crossed we actually get there at all
OH went to bed early this evening,so I stopped up to watch some TV only to be scared out of my skin by a stone being thrown at the sitting room window.
I rushed to see if anyone was around and to see if there was any damage. I can't see anything broken as it's too dark. I went outside to see if there were anyone hanging around but surprisingly not a soul in sight.
I was a little shaken up but I didn't want to wake OH as he'd have got agitated and he would have started coughing again.
What concerns me is we've had reports of stones being thrown at windows in this area at homes where 'older' people live and in a younger woman's property she's had a brick put through her window. .
Don't think I will be getting much sleep again tonight

We will be spending the day at DD2's today. SIL's parents too.
This morning I have my Jamie Oliver mulled wine to make ( requested by DD) and the starters. Prawn cocktail with smoked salmon and avocado.

Very happy Christmas morning everyone. So sorry I didn’t get back online last night. DS1 and family arrived mid afternoon just as I’d finished baking. They did taste testing for me!

We were late going to bed though, but our turkey is in the oven and I’ve grabbed a quiet minute to say “hello “ before starting on the veg. Poor DIL1 is full of cold and feeling really poorly - rotten timing.

I hope you all have a peaceful day spending time with your loved ones, and take it easy on the mince pies and mulled wine. I need to get a move on as we have friends coming round for a drink later this morning. Love to you all. 🥰🎄🍾🥂

Quiet here before the storm, I expect GD is up with H. We were very late to bed playing silly games. Had a visit from my youngest GS his partner yesterday evening, they will not be here today. Just had a visit from H showing me her torch from Santa.

Finley got a BMW peddle car like Mammy & Daddies they sent videos and pictures he’s a lucky little boy .

We rang his Aunt in Germany she was having a lucid day so knew who we all were ,
