    Good morning everyone.

Nan2 ours was a big order yesterday! I left quite a lot for OH to put away as all the bending is not easy on my new knee!

My car is in for it's MOT this morning.
This afternoon we are going to GS2's school carol concert which is held in the village church near the school. It's not until 5 pm so we will either stop for something to eat on the way home or get fish and chips. We will take their family's presents over too as that will be one more job done!

      Morning Nanto / ladies

      Nanto
It’s quite a job putting it all away isn’t it , one job I hate.
I don’t mind shopping but I will do anything to avoid putting it away I leave that to B😁

off to MILs soon take her food and see what mood she is in

Forgot to say went to M&S yesterday apart from the Queues were literally out the door they didn’t have one Christmas cake left.

I wanted a un iced bar they only had Genoa cake but it had lots of Brazil nuts on , Im intolerant to Brazil nuts so would have had to pick them all off and wasn’t sure they would be inside the cake.
But Even if they did have them in no way was I standing in those queues ,

Good morning, enjoy the carol concert Gem, the choir yesterday had some English carols so I sung along with them while doing my serving act!

Oma, I hope your MIL is in a good mood, she is so like one of the women where I do coffee, she was singing along yesterday, ate her lunch so I asked her if she had enjoyed herself? The answer was ......... not really I am used to her though!

I am going to circuit soon then see what the day brings, at least it is dry today.

Good luck with the order Nanto, I have been to the Lidl, they stopped with the Too Good To Go boxes, they now do "rescue bags" always a choice at 8am, the good thing is I can see what is in them so I got one today with plenty of fruit and veg in. I prefer them to the boxes.

Good Wednesday morning everyone. We had a lot of rain yesterday, but it's stopped now. Hopefully we'll get a dry day!

It's our usual Wednesday chaos here. OH has 3 pals coming to work on the kit car. They all seem to enjoy tinkering about with it, and the car is looking (and sounding) much better for it. Dog training for me, and this morning I really must clear the last of the ironing and tidy up the dining room.

I need to get a move on, but I've read your posts - what a busy lot we are.

So far a Sunny morning, hope it lasts. I have to go down the hill to M&S food hall to return a parcel and pick up one or two bits, hope there isn’t a queue there. Board games this afternoon with food supplied by Waitrose (free). GD just FaceTimed me to see what I am up to today.

Daisy, I have had a cooking free Christmas for a few yers now but I do make a contribution. I make blinis for Christmas morning and an Overnight Salad for Christmas evening. Are you spoiling those car builders with Christmas fare?

Oma, I hope you find your Mil full of Christmas Spirit.

Gemini, I miss the Carol Conserts now I don’t work at the school.

The shopping was a little late this morning. Van problems.
                It wasn't a problem for us,we weren't going out.
Still got a few items in the fridge that need separating to go in the freezer.
They have long dates on,but i'll do them tomorrow.

We had a lovely time at the carol concert and GS was so happy to see us there
We went back to DD's for a cuppa and slice of Christmas cake and exchanged presents.
On the way home we stopped for a lovely meal. Chicken in stilton sauce for me and pork stroganoff for OH. Both delicious!

                      Hello everyone.
I am sorry that I haven't posted in a long time but you have all been in my thoughts.
I hope I find you and your loved ones in good health.

Admin thank you for the beautiful Christmas email card , its very much appreciated.

I have been woken this morning with the sound of strong winds outside so I daresay the two small trees that stand either side of our front door trying to make an escape along the path. We have festooned them with small christmas lights so fingers crossed they will be OK.

We have had the usual ups and downs of life these past few months.
Arthritis is my constant companion but there are some good days so that's a bonus.

Gem I have noticed that some fresh veg has been reduced to very low prices this week in Tesco ( as along with other supermarkets) its just a shame that the prices will rise rapidly again next week!
We are expecting our Tesco Christmas grocery delivery on Saturday morning so thankfully I won't have to battle with the world and his wife along the fruit and veg Isle

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning. Its blowing a gale here.
Hubby was hoping to get a new lamp up outside today, but its looking doubtful with the wind.

Nice to hear from you Mimi.

I think there is a price war among the supermarkets with fresh veg.
I read last night that some veg is only 9p now.
The only fresh veg i got in my order yesterday was some baby sweetcorn.
Oma, just one substitution yesterday. I ordered some scones and they sent a cheaper version.
Hubby said keep them, they'll go down with a cup of tea. We tried them yesterday and they were ok.

Dinner is pork chops, roast potatoes, veg and gravy.

                          Good morning ladies

It's Storm Pia we are on the brink of apparently.

How lovely to see you Mimi, and thank you for doing the Advent Calendar

One of my favourite meals Nan2.

DD3 and baby are coming over today. She has a little bit of work today and will do it from ours. Not that I want her driving in this wind

Good morning, we have the wind as well, we have a meeting at the housing cooperation this afternoon, I hope I can go on the bike. This morning I want to go for amyrillis for the friend that was battling cancer of the bowels and went through #### with the chemo etc, she was given good news the other day so it all worked.

When I was doing coffee last night an Ukraine couple came in with their own interpreter, it didn't work, they thought they were at the doctors!!!!!!! As I left the man was phoning the regular interpreter to sort it all out.

I will battle the wind and go for the flowers, in the car.

We must be paying for the cheap veg in the UK, prices are sky high here!

Good Thursday morning, everyone. It's windy here as well, but not raining, thank goodness.

Oma, what a sweetie little Finn is. Glad MIL was ok.

Gem, I bet the carol concert was lovely and GS would have been delighted you were there. Hve a lovely time with little E today while his Mummy is working.

Nanto, trying to do anything outside in this wind would be hard. Perhaps the lamp will have to wait. Pork chops and roast potatoes sound good. Do you use your air fryer for them?

Mimi, it's always great to hear from you, but sorry to hear about your arthritis. It must be very painful at times. I have a lovely picture of your two trees hopping and skipping down the front path in the wind.

I think OH's car buddies had a good day. I did a few extras for lunch and set the table with crackers etc. I'd gone out by the time they sat down to eat, but I think they all enjoyed themselves. We had fun at dog training and with both scent work and flyball they were all excited - their two favourite things.

Lots to do today, but I did clear the ironing pile yesterday! OH has his annual MOT at the doctors this morning, but has to go to the surgery in the next village. He's got wood turning club tonight. Eva's not very happy with the noises outside - she doesn't like the wind. I'll take her out if it drops a bit later on.

Lizzie, our posts crossed. I hope the housing meeting goes as you would like it to. The car sounds much safer than your bike in these high winds. We haven't seen any cheap veggies either! Oh dear, something got lost in translation if the Ukrainian couple thought they were at the doctors.
