    Good morning everyone

Nan2, I don't think your life is boring. None of us needs a life full of dramas

    How is your back Oma?

Lizzie I have the back problem (scoliosis) anyway so that may be making things worse as I get older. I had to cancel my first post-op sports massage when I had that awful cold, and my next is tomorrow. I hope a couple of sessions with her will help me.

Baby E day today. Golf course still closed so OH can carry him upstairs for his afternoon nap. Friends C and P coming round this evening for a catch up. After tea so no need to cook for them. It will be a quick tea after baby has gone.

Good Thursday morning, everyone. It;s not raining here but it's cold, damp and dark.

Nanto, I couldn't cope if I was living life on the edge all the time, 'boring' isn't boring, it's just blessedly normal.

Gem, hopefully the sports massage tomorrow will help your back. Take care picking little GS3 up - I bet he's quite a weight now, and if he wriggles as well I'm sure you feel it. Have a lovely relaxing evening with C and P. How is she now?

Oma, be careful with your back if the hairdresser has a backwards facing sink. Let's hope MIL will be on her best behaviour for B today.

Plant, glad everything is ok now.

I've got a whole day at home, so I'm going to get on with a few chores. I want to get the bedrooms ready for Christmas Eve - DS1 and DIL1 and two GSs and Bailey the BC are coming down on Christmas Eve and staying overnight. When we haven't had anyone staying for a while the bedrooms seem to end up as dumping grounds for whatever OH is doing at the time - fortunately not car parts, but the rooms need a good tidy up and cleaning. Such joy!

OH has to go out to visit someone this morning, so no excuses from me, I can get on with things.

Gemini, do take care now things are improving. Enjoy your company this evening.

Oma, I hope that sore back will get better soon, just take care.

Daisy, I only have one spare room and that looks like a dumping ground atm with presents. You be careful, when your back is turned those spare rooms could surprise you with spare parts.

GD1 has just FaceTimed me, she now has the virus. H was going to a Christmas Party this morning but she will have to miss that. DD is on her way to fetch her. This nasty virus is certainly doing the rounds. I am hoping to have a quiet day today, might wrap some presents

Its been a quietish day here. Until we had a visit from one of hubby's former workmates.
He's ok in small doses. He's one of those that if you have been to Tenerife,he's been to Elevenerife. If you see what i mean.

Nearly all presents wrapped, have to collect one from Sainsbury’s Food Hall and return one. I still have one to arrive and that is it apart from some cash presents. Next year they are all going to get cash. H is next door with DD and sil, she came in and ran off with my rolls of paper, it is lovely seeing her mischievous face again.

Nanto, I think we have all got friends like that, annoying isn’t it.

Oh Nanto, I had to laugh at that, the lady I take to the pool is ok in small dozes, but, she is exactly like that!!! If she hasn't got one, better, bigger, more expensive etc etc then her DD will certainly have!!!

The lunch went really well, it was so good to chat with them both, 4 hours later they left!

Lizzie, that does sound like a good get together with your old friends.

Plant, let's hope little H stays well and her usual bubbly self after being so poorly. I hope GD1 gets better quickly. You've done well to get so many presents organised. I'l still struggling with what to get GD2 either for Christmas or for her birthday on the 27th! I think my OH knows that putting car parts in the spare bedroom would lead to some domestic discord!

Nanto, it took be a second or so to work out where Elevenerife was! . . It certainly made me laugh out loud.

I got quite a lot done this morning, including all the ironing! Then had a rest after lunch and took Eva for a walk.

                    Good morning. Cool again,but dry.

                    Probably be another quiet day.

Daisy, you made me laugh wondering where Elevenerife is.

I took a beef stew out of the freezer last night. 5 minutes later i put it back in.
I'm doing jacket potatoes instead, with cheese and tuna mayo.

                      Good morning everyone.

Nan2, I can't stand people who brag and try to outfit you. I always think it's a sign of insecurity or not being happy their lot.

                      You were busy yesterday Daisy!

It must have been nice to see little H full of beans again Plant.

                      Your hair looks lovely Oma

I am going for my massage this morning. Back and neck both need attention.
It's 5 minutes down the road from DD3 so I may call there if she's in. She's still not fully over the virus she had and has been missing company.

Not other plans today , but I must wrap presents. C and P will call in at some point, as P left his phone on our sofa last and it was too late to come back

I have a friend calling in this morning, she is going to have a look at my printer, a coffee and a chat. This afternoon I need to go down to M&S food hall to collect a parcel.

Gemini that massage sounds just what I could do with. I hope you find DD a bit better, I am sure she would like some company.

Oma, I do like the colour of your hair, is it much shorter?

Daisy, I hope you managed to sort out the bedrooms for your Christmas visitors, put keep out on the doors to keep J dumping stuff again.

Nanto, I was so tired yesterday, I couldn’t face cooking so I settled for cheese on toast, a jacket potato might have been better for me.

                            Good Friday morning, everyone.

It's dull and chilly, but at least it's not raining - so far!

Nanto, I love jacket potatoes with tuna. I'm sure you will be glad of the beef stew one day soon.

Plant, you have been busy just lately so no wonder you were tired last night. I hope your friend can sort your printer out. I have to confess I totally disown our printer. It's OH's domain - he likes hard copies of all sorts of things, and I hardly ever print anything, unless it's for him. I don't even know where to put paper in the printer, but my laptop is connected wirelessly to it. When I was teaching IT it was always the printers that gave us the most trouble.

Gem, poor DD3. She must be very fed up, as well as feeling poorly. Does little E sleep through the night? Enjoy your massage. I do hope you feel better for it. How is S filling her time, or is the golf course open again?

Oma, we're making progress with the sorting! I want to get the guest room finished today, then I can shut the door on it. We've got presents to wrap, so doing that will help get the other room tidy and we're going to put the decorations up this week-end.

Nan2 I have just had a jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise and grated cheese for lunch, I get bored with sandwiches every day.

Plant and Oma, yes you could probably benefit from a massage. The deep tissue ones I have are quite painful but work very well. I have 2 more booked for January and February .

Golf course still closed Daisy. I think OH is really missing it. I feel particularly sorry for the husband of our friend who died a few weeks ago. He is a keen member of the golf club .

Baby E is now full of cold. I kept my distance as much as I could when I called in this morning, but as I looked after him all day yesterday I have probably been infected! DD seems much better.

OH is at Boots hearing care at the moment picking up her new state of art hearing aids. She has borrowed a set for a week before collecting her own.

Time for me to wrap some more presents now

Gem, Who does the deep tissue massages - as in what are their qualifications. It sounds much more intense than the sort of massage you would get on say a spa day, although they are also lovely.

Poor baby E. Little ones can feel so miserable with a cold, especially if their little noses are all stuffy. I hope you don't get it though. I'll be interested to know how S gets o with her new hearing aids.

I'm plodding on with my list of jobs around the house. The guest bedroom is now done. We've got the decorations down from the loft .

I'm struggling with a very painful knee. I knelt on it awkwardly yesterday and it's been getting more painful ever since. Poor Eva won't get a walk this afternoon. I hope it's better for tomorrow though.
