We off to Shopping mall today , mainly to just have a look around ,
Housework done floors washed it smells lovely of Dettol in here shame the smell fades .

Storm was sound asleep when DD came to collect him last night , usually he hears the car before it pulls up ,
I think he was full and sleepy😁


DD said Leeds market was poor she came back with a Dog stocking that was it .
All fast food stalls like all of them these days .

Good Monday morning everyone. We have sunshine!

Nanto, I'm doing more bedding today - getting the guest bed and the GCs beds ready for Christmas Eve. I did the Advent calendar a couple of days ago, but I'm late to the party today!

Gem, enjoy your lunch. Perhaps we reach an age where lunch out is more attractive than going out on dark, cold evenings. I hope your DD3 is soon feeling better - it's hard feeling ill when you've got a baby to care for as well. I hope the new boiler installation goes smoothly. Will it be more efficient than your old one? We found a big difference when we changed ours.

Good Morning everyone I feel so much better today quite a plesent surprise ? I am going to go out shopping to the Supermarket and stock up on some goodies for my fridge its looking very bare and Ollies food container is quite bare I need some more stamps and wrapping paper so going to the postoffice is no option this morning urr!! also need some special cards.
I'm hoping I can get my Christmas nails done depending on how many are in the queue.

So pleased you enjoyed your lumch with your pals Daisy its just lovely to catch up with everyone isn't it ? I am going after xmas with some pals in New Year after being poorly its been a long time since I saw them.

Sausage chips and beans last night a quick meal but tasty , nothing wrong with that Oma.
I had a debate with myself earlier. Do i take gammon or braising steak out of the freezer for tomorrow.
Decisions,decisions. Anyway,the braising steak won.

Good grief! I had nice lunch and chat with my friends in the end, but it was hell getting there!
On the way to DD3's the road back was at standstill for miles. We Googled and found an alternative route. It would still take my twice as long as it should but with leaving DD's a bit earlier I would still be on time for my lunch date. I warned my friends about the possibility of me being late. HOWEVER. One of the villages I was diverted through was flooded, no one could get through! So I had to take very long winding detour which took me back onto that original slow road. The 20 minute journey took an hour and 15 minutes not to mention my frazzled nerves!

Oh Gem, I know how you felt!! Those road backs are awful!

We have been to the pool, I went in the car, the other ladies were pleased as there were showers all afternoon. The young man should be there at least another 4 months, he is working through an agency, we are hoping the council take him on full time as he is so good!!!

I did the coffee this morning, I even went in my new boots! Very nice, only one made a noise whilst walking! I took my sole out and it was fine so the lady there said maybe cover the sole with a thin sock as it sounded like leather on leather, I have soles for both feet but only heard the right one, I came home and she was half right, it was the carbon plate under the sole that was causing the rubbing on the leather, I did as she advised and covered the sole with a thin sock, now I am a silent walker.

I decorated the Christmas tree in the hall where I do the voluntary work, 35o volunteers and she asks the one person that never has a tree!!! The art teacher helped me put it together, it was a puzzle! Then after the class one of the ladies helped me decorate it.

I was diverted to the York via Stamford Bridge road and it was Stamford Bridge which was flooded! I meant the A1079 which was the congested road that you knew well 😊

Glamm, it's so good to hear you're feeling better. As Oma says, don't overdo things, but it will do you good to get out for a little while, wrapped up nice and warm, of course. (Nag, nag). xxx

Lizzie, your tree looks beautiful, and very nicely decorated. I'm sure you will get lots of compliments.

Gem, what a nightmare journey. It sounds even worse than the one I had to the golf club last week. We've had so much rain just lately our village social media groups do a round up of where the floods are every morning.

Nanto, difficult choice, but I think I'd have chosen braising steak as well.

My day didn't go to plan either! Talk about feeling cross. OH noticed last night the tap in the garage was leaking slightly, so this morning he took it apart to see what washer to get. Of course, being sensible he turned the water to that tap off first. Then found it also turned off the water in the cloakroom, and in the utility room. He hadn't noticed the washing machine was half way through a cycle, even though he'd seen me carrying a load of bedding down there. So off he went to get the part and a few other things. It's been a lovely, sunny day today, relatively warm with a gentle breeze. Yes, perfect drying weather. He came back 3 hours later - far too late to get the washing finished and out on the line. So I got one load done and had to put that in the dryer. I really wasn't happy.

Then he's just gone to fill his car screen washer bottle - and the bonnet won't open! We're waiting for someone to come and have a look at it.

The Gammon would have been my choice , that reminds me I have some in the freezer also .

Its raining again , just text my SIster done my insulin injections now going to have tea and toast and decide what we are doing today ,
