My new laptop should be arriving today and our computer man is coming on Thursday to transfer everything.

After a bad night I did manage to catch up last night. Cleaner expected any moment, I will get her to start on the sitting room whilst I have a shower.

Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

The birthday day boy has had his cup of tea in bed and I am just off for a shower before starting on making lunch. I think I'll do stuffed jacket potatoes with a salad and make a daal for tonight. My wonderful DIL1 is bringing a birthday cake with her so I don't have to bake!

Well, i have just dropped a full 4 pint bottle of milk on the kitchen floor.
And, i didn't just say oh dear. The bottles do easily split, especially when you drop them on the floor.

Had another busy morning
Didnt get to bed till 4.45 but did sleep till 7.30
DD not feeling good today so I went to hers and took Storm for a little walk about 12 .
SIL had walked him early this morning so he didn’t really need a walk but I thought why not .

Went to B&Q I needed netting for my boarder to keep the cats from digging my cyclamen out ,
B is going to do sort of a tent thing over it he will staple the netting to the sleepers around the boarder then to the fence .
That way my plants can grow but cats can’t get to the soil and them.

Got up this morning and they had already dug two up to do their business ,
Luckily once I cleared up I was able to replant them.

B also wanted a couple of tarpaulins why I don’t know but would you believe B&Q had none in,
So we went to B&M got them there ,

It was good to see M this morning.
The 'honeymoon period ' of me enjoying having nothing to do is definitely over and I am getting bored!
Laptop is now expected tomorrow. Yes Oma I have ordered the same one.

Cats are naughty when they dig other people's plants up Oma.

OH got in around 4. She said it was a lovely day for golf.

I enjoyed the visit to the museum, even thought I would rather be out and about! It was so busy in Den Haag on the way back to the station, it could have been the weather as it was really warm!

I came home, got changed and got jeans shortened for GD2 friend, I took them and just received a message that they are perfect! I have another pair to shorten, GD2 will come tomorrow afternoon as she is out of school at 1pm then she will 'help" me shorten them!! Her words!

Nanto, I know what I would have said if I had spilt so much milk. As Oma said, you will have to deep clean or it will turn sour and smell.

Oma, friends of mine have so much trouble from the neighbours cats, DS1 used to have but I haven't heard anything about that lately.

My foot hurts, I don't know if it is from walking miles today or doing the aqua on my toes yesterday, it could be a combination, M, my neighbour, has made me some oil to rub into the foot when I go to bed, she loves making all these creams, oils etc, oh, and the vegetables she ferments, they are delicious!!! She brought me some cauliflower last week, really tasty. I haven't the patience to do all that!

This afternoon we had a walk down to BIL and SIL, those in the bungalow.
It was lovely sat out in the sunshine.

I'm still in bed but it looks and sounds windy out there!

I hope your foot is less painful today Lizzie.

No plans today as far as I am aware. I will be glad when I am driving again. My surgeon told me that as my car is automatic and it's my left knee it's up to me when I drive. I don't have to wait the 6 weeks. I don't feel ready yet though!

No plans for us,will just take the day as it comes.

Shopping coming between 9 and 10.
I wasn't going to bother this week, then in the space of a couple of days,we got short of a few things.

Dinner is crispy sliced potatoes,bacon and beans.

Waiting for Dog to arrive
B going to Leeds today to look at GSs car , he’s still waiting for garage to pick it up to repair so B going down to see if it’s still drivable for now , by the pictures he sent it’s just the grill snapped and the bonnet catch won’t work ,
But you never know just by pictures if the radiator is damaged , so that’s why B going down to check it over.

My DS tripped on the stairs yesterday and has twisted her knee ,
She has trouble with it anyway so she’s in pain and can’t get around easily .
I will pop in tomorrow to see her after been to MILs ,
Its her 79 th Birthday on Friday so. Looks like she will spend her birthday with her leg up , not that she would be going anywhere, but being in pain is not how you want to spend your Birthday.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone. It's dull but quite warm here. Not bad for October!

Oma, your poor sister. I hope her knee get better soon, but not nice being ill for her birthday. I hope GS's car is drivable. The garage are certainly taking their time. Your neighbourhood cats will be calling your garden Colditz for Cats! But I agree it's frustrating when your plants get dug up. I'm not surprised B&Q didn't have tarpaulins in stock. It seems every time my OH goes t to our nearest branch he comes away empty handed.

Gem, it's nice to know you can choose when you're ready to drive again, but I agree, you're better waiting until you feel ready. I hope getting your new laptop will keep you occupied for a while at least. It's a sign you're getting better when you feel bored. xx. S must be loving this nice mild weather out on the golf course.

Nanto, I do feel for you spilling so much milk. At least you didn't have glass to clear up as well (we have milk in glass bottles!) but 4 pints is an awful lot of liquid.

Lizzie, I'm sure the visit to the Museum made a change, even if it was busy. I hope your foot is better soon, and hopefully it was just the combination of two extra activities. Your neighbour sounds wonderful with her lotions and potions. I'd love to have that kind of know-how.

Plant, I hope you had another good night's sleep last night. I think the trip to Normandy will do you good and set you up for the winter. xx

We had a good day yesterday for OH's birthday. DS1 and DIL spent the day with us, and DS and OH had a couple of hours doing car stuff on the kit car. DIL and I sat in the sunshine in the garden and caught up with each other's news. They brought a delicious cake from M&S for pudding/birthday cake - lemon and blueberry. It really was very nice and we all had two pieces!

It's our usual dog training afternoon for me and Eva, but I'll take her for a short walk later this morning.

Good Morning all, Up bright & early to-day I was out of bed by 6am to let his Lordship out into the garden he has such a loud cry I'm sure the neighbours can hear him.

Oma I planted some cyclamen in my front garden pots only for the squirrels to have a go at them so DS1 fixed some netting over the tops of the tubs we do seem to have more than our fair share of squirrels we are surrounded by very large tree's.

Gems enjoy your new PC I hate getting a new one with all the messing about loading it up and you all know how illiterate I am with stuff like that.So glad to read you are feeling much better.

DD is managing well with her poorly ankle she is able to walk about she says "Nurse Harvey" is looking after her she thinks she may have to go to A&E when she comes home at the week end just to check and have x-rays looks like she will not be going back to work straight away I hope she rests it up when she gets home but she is a martyr to not letting anyone down.

There is still no sign of new neighbour moving in its all very strange indeed all I can think of is he is waiting for furniture etc to be delivered I would have thought he would have at least put up some curtains .

Liverpool was very busy when I went over there Yesterday lots of people wearing Red for the Labour Party Conference all mingling about the Liverpool1 area the Hotels must have been really busy I had to wait for a table for a coffee & sandwich at Pret but managed to sit for an hour and people watch I came back home on the bus which stops at the top of my Road.

Oma is there another type of Hot Choc I can use in my Velvetiser or do you have to use the Hotel brand thats what I went for in L'pool as they have a shop in L'pool1 by the way I treated myself to some coffee choc's just delish.

The weather here today is so damp today its not raining as such just damp and dismal luckily enough I don't have any washing to do today I can't do any ironing until DS1 comes home as he has borrowed my iron to take with him and me in my wisdom gave my spare to DGS1 when he got his own flat.

I'm off now ladies going to make some hot chocolate (yummy) and look at netflix to find some films to watch over the next few days until my family all arrive home it is so lonely not seeing them.
