    Good morning everyone.

    That's a big pumpkin Lizzie!

Plant what a good idea the slate is for notes.

I hope both Daisy and OH are not too bad today.

Better day here too Nan2. Even some wintry sun breaking through.

This morning OH wants to go to Go Outdoors shop so I will go with her .
GS2 ( and maybe GD) from school this afternoon. I am babysitting for GS1 this evening.

Bus driver should know not everyone has apps on their phone and they have slots for money silly man.

      Lizzie
that’s one big pumpkin will it make much soup or do they go to nothing when cooked ?
      I’ve never used one before.

      Gem
Is S looking for anything in particular or just wants to see what catches her eye,
Will you have lunch out ?

      Plant
B is finding it much easier it’s about the same as our last car so he’s used to getting in and out of this kind .
He just couldn’t bend his knee or lift his leg high enough comfortably to get in the other car without pain.
Do you like your shorter haircut ?

      Nanto
We had some high winds last night but like you a lot calmer this morning.

SIL just been to drop my carpet cleaner off , we want to clean the living room carpet before the tree goes up.
The cleaner spends more time at DDs than here 😁

Not a lot on today Man coming to service the boiler between 12-4 he said so could be anytime really
Last time he said that he knocked on the morning on the off chance we were in as he had a cancellation.

GD just FaceTimed me, they are packing for the move, her OH had gone to fetch the van. His father is helping with the move. We shall see how it works out for her, after all they could be moving to Australia. They have spent so much time here we shall miss her popping in. Hairdresser cut a lot off my hair yesterday, feels quite draughty. Doing quite well with Christmas presents, going to fetch some from Waitrose today. Sil just popped in to get some sticky tape, black plastic bags, newspaper, etc for them. Perhaps he will bring H back
she will only get in the way. They just don’t think things through.

Lizzie, that is a very big pumpkin, lots of soup, I have never had pumpkin soup. Sorry too hear there looks as if there will not be enough votes for the refurbishment of the flats.

Gemini, Your GS1 must be getting very tall and grown up. I imagine he must be taller than you. Do you think you are straighter in the back since you had your knee done.

Daisy, I hope you are getting stronger but take care. I hope your OH’s eye is less painful today.

Oma, Don’t wear the carpet away with the cleaning. When will you put the tree up?

            Good Friday morning, everyone.

It's clouding over here now, but we have had sunshine this morning.

OH woke with a pounding headache. I think it was probably the stress of yesterday and being out in the cold so long. I gave him breakfast in bed and he's gone back to sleep. I've put the bins out and even had some breakfast myself, so I must be feeling a bit better. I'm just off for a shower and then need to defrost and tidy out the chest freezer to make it easier to empty the kitchen freezer. I think I'm on the mend! Thank you all for y our good wishes and 'stern' advice. xxx

I'll catch up later, when I need another reason to sit down and relax for a while. x

I hope GD is happy with the move , not a lot you can say though is there , if they make a mistake they have to live with it till they can afford another place , it’s a worry though isn’t it xx

              Daisy
Sit down more today just do a little at a time ,( says the woman who doesn’t take her own advice) 🙄🤣🤣

Hallo everyone, Oma, the pumpkin makes lovely soup, a piece of smelly french cheese added makes it even more delicious!! I like pumpkin soup, make it often.

Very heavy showers here, I went with a lady from the organisation to a plant hall this morning to buy a lot of plants!!!! They are placing a room divider, it is a plant trough, 2,50metre long and 50cm in width so a lot of plants to do in that. There is a trellis so the plants can climb to form a wall.

Poor DS1 is stuck in the Hilton in Venice for an extra night, poor man!!!!! Their flight has been cancelled so KLM had to find them a hotel! Plus the rest, they will love it!!!

I have to go and pick my iPhone up, the loading connection was playing up so it is being replaced.

I spent some time before lunch fetching parcels from Waitrose and posting returns, collecting prescription. Came home dying for a drink and who should I find in my SR but GD and H.
Van parked in road and they were eating lunch provided by DD. Her OH needs to one more trip then they will be off to their new abode. GD said she is a little worried about sharing the house with stepfather when her OH isn’t there. It is easier for OH he used to live there before they met. To be honest I think he is looking forward to returning to his family home.

I feel sure you will still be seeing a lot of your GD and little H Plant. I know it's an adjustment to them living so close though. I hope it all goes smoothly for them.

I'm sure DS will survive that extra night Lizzie

Daisy I hope your OH is feeling better as the day goes on and you are not overdoing it!

OH bought 2 pairs of lined golf trousers in the relocation sale. We then collected our repeat prescriptions and stopped for lunch in our favourite cafe in the village. We both had the mushroom soup which was delicious.

It was as always very cold on GS2's school playground. I swear it is the coldest place in North Yorkshire!
It's a cold day. 6 degrees according to my car.
We are going to eat early(sausages) with GS.
I'm off to babysit GS1 around 7. Childcare shift work

Lizzie, that pumpkin will make you plenty of portions of soup.
                      Never tried pumpkin myself.

Plant, hope the family settle with the move.

Daisy, good to hear you are on the mend. Hope OH's headache went away.

Gem, its been very cold here today.

Lizzie, I've never made or even tasted pumpkin soup (or pumpkin pie) but it seems quite a battle hollowing them out for Hallowe'en. I notices when we drove past a local PYO field the other day, there were hundreds just lying on the ground. I should think they've rotted with all the wet weather. It seems a waste. Your poor DS1 being stuck in a posh hotel in Venice. Seriously, I hope they get a flight tomorrow. The wall of plants sounds lovely. Is your phone ok now?

Plant, I know how much you will miss your GD1 and sweet little H, but I'm sure you will fall into some kind of routine for seeing each other. I suppose we all have to make difficult choices in life sometimes, and I hope this will be a good choice for them, even if it takes a little time to settle down. H will still be delighted to see you whenever she can. Are you getting used to your new shorter hairstyle yet? It will probably be easier to manage, and quicker to wash and dry.

Gem, your OH got those lined golf trousers just in time for the cold weather! I'm sure she'll be glad she did. Perhaps you should get some for GS2's school playground. Is the school at the top of a hill? I was going to make some soup today but didn't get round to it! You've had a very busy day. Sorry if I've missed it somewhere, but how did your first shift back at the library go?

Oma, thank you for reminding me to sit down. I did try! Will you put the tree up or do all your decorations?

It's been cold here all day, but the leaves on the pavements are all nice and crisp and Eva and I had fun this afternoon crunching our way through them. Someone at one point had brushed some into quite a large pile, and I think she'd have liked to dive into them, but I stopped her!

I defrosted the chest freezer as planned. It wasn't too bad but it gave me a chance to put things back tidily and then I had room for all the veggies from the kitchen freezer. I'll defrost the fridge/freezers which are being replaced tomorrow. At least I don't have to worry about hot weather.

OH has slept most of the day and his headache isn't too bad now, but he's got a cold so not feeling great.

I'm definitely feeling better, although after walking Eva this afternoon, making a chicken casserole for dinner and portioning up a load of dog food I think anything else can wait. I did have a couple of sessions making baubles for GD2's craft stall on Sunday. I was going to burn some designs in to them, but it was too cold to have the window open!

Good morning, Daisy, I had never had pumpkin soup until I had the flu last year and my lovely neighbour came with a pan of pumpkin soup for me! This one, as huge as it was, wasn't difficult to split, I halved it and then cut it into slices and from there it was easy to cut in to chunks. If I buy one in the supermarket I choose the light coloured "bottle" pumpkins.

Yes, we hope DS1 gets the flight home today.

The trough for the plants won't be delivered until January, we had to go now as the young lady is on leave for a while as she is moving house. We went to a plant hall, I have been before but never realised how much cheaper the plants are compared to the garden centres. I enjoyed choosing all the plants.

I got my iPhone repaired, I knew what was happening as it happened a few years ago to another model, a friend recommended this repair shop and I have been a few times for glass, screens etc. It was so busy on the roads, the shop is near where I go to aqua, not usually busy on a Monday, it was yesterday afternoon, I think the weather had a lot to do with it, I would usually go on the bike but not in a storm.

Gem, the gold trousers will keep S warm, especially with the cold winds up north!!! My friend near Aberdeen plays golf. he said it was very cold the other day and that snow was forecast.

Plant, I hope the removal went well, the move will take some getting used to all round, I know H will miss seeing you all on a regular basis, they will get to see you all though.

Gem, you are very busy with your baby sitting, I doubt if GS1 would call it that though.

I have no plans for today, I have the jacket to finish, the lining is fitted so not much to do now.

                            Good morning.

Daisy, you certainly sound better, hope OH feels better soon.

Lizzie, hope your DS gets a flight today.

We are going to Wakefield, hopefully it's 3rd time lucky.

                              Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, fingers crossed you actually make it to Wakefield today. Wrap up warm.

Lizzie, I think I'm going to have a go at making pumpkin soup - you've sold it to me! I've been wondering what a plant hall is. Is it a kind of specialist garden centre or is it for indoor plants? It sounds interesting.

Plant, I hope you hear today from GD1 and find out how they are settling down. There's such a lot to do when you move, and it's not easy with a toddler "helping". Have you got a new cleaning lady yet? You're getting on well with your Christmas shopping.

Gem, I hope you're not to exhausted after your busy childcare day yesterday.

We've had a sharp frost overnight - I was glad I'd covered a few vulnerable plants over last night, but I should have put another layer over the ones in the summerhouse, and forgot! I'm not going to open the door to check on them until it's warmed up a bit. At least the sun is shining. Eva went running out into the garden this morning and I expected her to have a run round, crazy Labrador style, but she stopped, sniffed and came back in!

OH said he didn't sleep very well, but I think he's a bit better. I don't want him going out in this cold weather though.

Take care in the cold everyone.

Lizzie, I am not understanding about the plants, are they for indoors?

I don’t think GD and her OH were anxious to go yesterday, I think he was tired and comfortable. Eventually H tried to pull them from their chairs, she wanted to go home, little did she know she wasn’t going to her usual house.

Nanto, enjoy your trip to Wakefield
