    Hello, everybody

Sorry I've only just managed to get online at this late hour of the day. I slept quite well and as OH had his car buddies coming for the day I went down and tidied up the kitchen for him - he makes everyone a ploughman's lunch. I obviously let my enthusiasm for kitchen cleaning override my common sense - and fainted!

I've spent most of the day in bed but went down to have tea with OH - his culinary skills stretch to boiled eggs - and am now exhausted again. I've read all your posts, but am too tired to make any sensible comments, except Oma - can you blank out the number plate on B's lovely new car, please. Thieves are very clever at tracing such things.

OH has his hospital appointment tomorrow but I don't feel well enough to drive. A neighbour has kindly offered to take him and he'll have to get a taxi/bus or train back.

Oma, that's lovely, thank you! The car looks amazing!

Eva hasn't commented on the lack of walkies, but then she's totally ignored me all day as she wanted to be with the car fanatics in the garage! I don't walk to to a routine, so it doesn't bother her too much if she misses a couple of days.

Oh Daisy take care. Hope you feel better soon.

            Breezy this morning.

Shopping coming between 9 and 10.
Hairdresser should be coming, but something has cropped up and is knocking her day out. She will ring me and let me if/when she will be here.

Only doing chips, peas and egg for dinner.

              Good morning ladies.

It was so windy last night. It has died down a bit but its not a nice day.

Nice easy dinner Nan2. Not sure what we are having.

I hope you feel a bit better today Daisy. I'm glad your kind neighbour can take your OH to hospital. I hope he gets the taxi back.
Rest today and get well xx

Baby GS3 today. OH will be gone for about 4 hours in the middle of the day with golf, so he will be sleeping downstairs in the travel cot. I will report back!

Good Thursday morning, everyone. It's a bit windy here, but dry. I'm very frustrated because the lawn is dry enough for a light cut, but I don't feel up to it and OH certainly wouldn't want to tackle it after his eye injection.

Gem, I hope little E has a good nap to give you a break. I know you'll be careful, but it's so easy to overdo things. Are you sleeping any better yet?

Nanto, I hope your hairdresser makes it today. Eggs, chips and peas is always a good standby!

It's 34 years today since my Mum died, and it will be 62 years tomorrow since my Dad died. It doesn't seem possible!

I'm getting bored and frustrated that I've got no energy, but I can hear you all saying rest, take it easy, give yourself time etc. I've put a load of towels in to wash this morning and I shall put them in the dryer, but even that seemed an effort!

I hope everyone's day is going smoothly.

Daisy, bored or not take it easy. You will only delay your recovery otherwise.

Baby in cot in dining room as dark as we can make it. There is a square 'arch' separating dining room from living room. Luckily there are full length curtains which we often close on winter evenings to separate the rooms. He was not keen to sleep but fingers crossed all now is quiet on the other side of the curtains!
I will take a peek on my way to make my lunch. Heaven help anyone who knocks on the door or phones the landline before he wakes! It's much quieter upstairs for him, but for now this is what we have to do.

I always dreaded the doorbell or phone when I put the boys down for a nap ,
Fingers crossed all is quiet 😁
Is he a light sleeper ?

I always say I can be a Yeti for another week if my hairdresser has to change plans 😁
Next week will come around quick enough x

                      Daisy
I hope your not doing anything else today rest it won’t do any harm leaving things,
Has J returned home yet ? Or was it a later appointment?

Well visit to MIL went better than expected ,
She was in one of her moods when we got there
I had ordered her some trousers from JD Williams ,
                      Slimma pull on ones ,

SIL has taken 5 skirts and a pair of trousers over in the last fortnight and MIL has hated everyone ,
They to long too short horrible material etc
She’s very thin now so getting a good fit is difficult and to be honest what she’s looking for doesn’t exist unless it’s made to measure.

Anyway I took two pair of trousers and I said to B I don’t know why I’m bothering they will only go back ,
She didn’t want to try them at first said she wasn’t up to it but I insisted as there is only so much time to send them back and if I left them they would be stinking of smoke when I picked them up.

Reluctantly she tried them on and shocked us by loving them.
They fit perfect around the waist no saggy bottom and perfect length.
She was delighted with them , not so much the material but at least she had something that finally fit.

I Text SIL on way home and she couldn’t believe it 🤣
Fingers crossedi won’t get a phone call saying she’s changed her mind 😁🤞

Oma, reading about your MIL always brings a smile to my face, either pleased that somethings has gone well, or in sympathy because it hasn't! Well done with the trousers, but you do realise you can be too successful, don't you. . OH's hospital appointment was 10.30 and he's usually in and out in about an hour, but today it was nearly 4 hours - utter chaos in the Department. Then he waited nearly half an hour for a bus to the station (the only good thing, he says he'll never complain about me hitting potholes again as the bus driver seemed to think it was an Olympic sport). Then half an hour wait for the train. The kind neighbour who took him met him at our station. He said he couldn't find any numbers for a taxi service! The bus driver grumbled at him for paying in cash saying he ought to have a phone app for it! His eye is more painful than usual with being out in the cold wind, and he was hungry so got a sandwich and an orange drink, only to find the drink was Orangina not orange juice.

Gem, I often thought of putting a note on our front door saying "baby asleep, don't ring the bell" or something. Short of unplugging the landline you can't do much about that. I hope he got his nap in peace and you had a chance to sit down.

Nanto, if this is your last haircut before Christmas it might be better having it a week later.

Daisy, that's what I did! My note said 'Baby asleep do NOT knock on the door! Thank you '.
He had about 90 minutes which isn't that much for his only sleep of the day, but better than nothing!
Your poor OH, I know from my auntie these visits are usually fairly short, but can be several hours.

Let's hope MIL doesn't go off the new trousers Oma!

Hallo everyone, I just had a lovely mess to tidy up!! I closed the curtains in here and it caught on a (huge) plant! What a bang it made! Pieces of pot flew all over! I have been meaning to thin it out for ages, now that has been done!

I think it was the anger in me! We have been to the housing cooperation this afternoon for a meeting, maybe our last as I can't see them getting the votes they need in the next week, such a shame, when you see how many have voted "no" or not at all it is unbelievable!

Before I went I cut the huge pumpkin, I have some in the freezer and made some soup today, next door has a very large piece to sort out plus neighbours on the second floor, I have never seen such a size!

Gem, a good thing GS3 managed a sleep.

Daisy, poor DH, a long wait in a hospital. I hope you both are soon feeling better.

Oma, your MIL must be mellowing with age!!!

Nanto, as Daisy said, if the hairdresser comes next week you will make it to Christmas.

Daisy, what an ordeal for your OH. What a cheek the bus Driver had not to want cash. I hope you will soon be feeling stronger.

Nanto, I had my hairdresser this morning, I had let it grow quite long but it is quite short now. I hope your hairdresser gets to you soon.

Gemini, When H is here and asleep, because we live in a bungalow and she sleeps quite near the front door, they have a slate on string. Which they write with some chalk.

Oma, so pleased you had a reasonably pleasant visit to your Mil. So pleased she liked the trousers you bought her, see miracles do happen. Are you enjoying your new car, is it better for B to get into.

Well its a lot calmer today, last night the wind was wild.

Gem, glad GS managed a bit of a sleep.

Daisy, hope you both feel a bit better today. That was one he'll of a journey for OH.

Oma, glad MIL was happy with the trousers. Wonders never cease.

Only plans for me is to go to the post office.

Hubby out for a couple of hours this morning.

I think dinner will be jacket potatoes with cheese and beans.
