Sunny here too, I hope it lasts. No plans today, I would like to get in the garden but it is 10.20 and I am yet to get showered and dressed. I am planning what I need to pack for my week in Normandy, warm clothes and nightwear I think.

Gemini, your GS1 is having a lovely family get-togethers for his birthday. Toddlers love balloons don’t they.

Daisy, I expect you are pleased to get that bush/tree lopped without mishap. You can buy kassler on line but it is very expensive, just had a look. I have found homes for most of my Membrillo paste. Apparently the tree is called Membrillo tree in Spain so my Sil’s noisy Sil told me. (I love her really but I wish she had a control to turn her volume down)

Lizzie, you are such an industrious lady with a lot of talent.

Oma, sorry you have had all those breakages, I think it goes like that. I hope B can fix the fridge. Have a lovely lunch with your friends. No doubt your GS’s ears will be burning.

Gemini, my DD and H had been to a Forest School day and H did water painting there.

I forgot to say I also broke a piece from one of my upper front teeth last night on a pork chop of all things,
So I will have to ring the dentist in the morning ,
Its the tooth next to the front tooth so very unsightly with only half a tooth there 🥴

Oma, oh dear. I think you should stay in bed for the next few days (apart from seeing the dentist, of course!) until the gremlins have found someone else to plague.

Plant, I know what you mean about someone not having a volume control - I know someone like that. No volume control and no 'off' switch!

A big 'Welcome Home', Nanto. Have you got used to waking up to beautiful sunshine, rather than good old British fog? I'm sure you've got a busy time now unpacking, washing and ironing etc, but I'd love to hear about your holiday when you've got time.

I'm getting a few things sorted out today. The GDs are probably coming later in the week. We had hoped to take them to London for a day, but with all the protests and unrest neither us nor their Mum and Dad think it's a good idea.

I agree it’s not the right time to take GDs to London,
Im sure you will find plenty of other things to do x

I have had a good going through with the duster and stuff , I then cleaned the cupboard under the sink,
My god the rubbish we collect ,
Its one of those cupboards that sort of go into the corner where you can’t get to,
So I dragged everything out and got into the darkest recesses,

Found a Plunger we thought we had thrown out so we bought a new one , now we have two of the same size ,

A ball we bought Storm about two years ago that he never played with ,
Why it was in the cupboard is a mystery, not something you would put in there ,

After discovering things we forgot about I had a good purge and threw away lots of stuff we really didn’t need or hadn’t used in a long time,

B said it’s only making room for more crap 😱🤣

Having a cup of tea then I will ring Dentist .

Good morning, it was thick fog here this morning, clearing now, I am waiting to hear from DS1 to tell me they arrived home OK!

I have done the coffee, aqua this afternoon, I shall have to remember not to use my toes to jump!

Nanto, it would be a colder home coming!

The birthday girl yesterday being spoilt with yet another cake! They went out for a meal with my friend and family, the DIL made the cake for her.

It must be half term where you are Daisy? Ours is next week, although as GD has 2 weeks she is off this week as well.

Birthdays are meant to be enjoyed Lizzie and spread out! Very misty here this morning.

OH took her car in for service this morning. A friend picked her up and brought her home and stayed for coffee.

Dentist can’t fit me in till 3rd November so a couple of weeks of hiding the gap,

Lizzie your only 18 once why not make the most of it, everyone should have two cakes 😁🎂

Our car went in this morning to have the boot strut replaced it was misaligned so wasn’t shutting properly.
Should only take a day ,
We didn’t bother with a courtesy car for just one day they provided a Taxi to get B home and one to take him back when car is ready.
I think it’s half term this week for our youngsters,
To be honest not doing school runs now I never know for sure.

Spoke to Glamms DD Glamm is really poorly with this cold virus going around her family ,
Her DD said Glamm had slept most of the day and evening , not well at all.
