We off to MILs this morning, didn't get last week with me being poorly so see what she’s like today
Usually she’s a bit off if we haven’t gone and gets a bit sulky ,
Sis in law took her for lunch on Tuesday said she moaned none stop about everything and was a nightmare
So we not expecting a good visit today but you never know she’s proved us wrong before 🙄😁

Have an appt. At the hospital for a breath check, the last of the three ordered to check my heart. We have sunshine atm, hope it lasts. Will pop back later.

Good Thursday morning, everyone. Gem, I don't know what kind of magic you've worked, but the sun is shining. It's still cold though, and I've noticed this morning that the leaves on the horse chestnut tree outside our house are turning brown.

Oma, I love your new look hair - very pretty.

Nanto, I've missed the story behind your gates but I'm imagining 6ft high, wrought iron and your family crest on each one. Good to hear that they're working.

Lizzie, that was a fierce storm you had. Enjoy your meal out with your GDs today. It's lovely that you all enjoy each other's company so much, and very kind of you to take them out.

Gem, I'm glad you were ok swimming. Does it make a difference to your knee whether you do crawl or breast stroke? We watched the football at our neighbours - they are both keen sporty people and it's more fun for OH to watch it with them than me.

Plant, squirrels are very clever at getting where they shouldn't be! I'm really pleased with the bird feeders we've got now - they really do seem to keep out the squirrels and the big birds that trash everything.

Dog training was fine. It was busier than usual with 8 dogs in, but Eva knew all of them and was quite comfortable even though she hadn't seen one of them for over a year. She came round to our neighbours with us last night and is now catching up on her beauty sleep!

Nothing specific planned for today, but lots of paperwork and admin to do. If the sun stays out I'll try and do the lawn as well.

We have just been in the pool and are now shade bathing out here.
Daisy I do sort of breast stroke with my right leg and a modified doggy paddle cum breast stroke with the other

So far we have had a very sunny day. Back from hospital, young girl did lots of tests. Breathing into tubes etc, she sprayed my throat at some point and I have been coughing ever since. I am not really a football fan but England players did so well last evening. I shall watch the final.

Eva must have pleased to see all her doggy friends Daisy. Did your OH enjoy the football last evening?

Gemini, how lovely to have a pool to dip into, I hope the weather isn’t too hot. Is the hotel good?

Nanto, you are posh having your automatic gates now, envy of the road.

Daisy, I have squirrel proof bird feeders but the small squirrel can wriggle in at the top. My aim is to outwit the little nuisance. I don’t think the birds need feeding now anyway, there should be enough food around for them.

Afternoon all! Sun still shing here and it makes everything seem so much better. I actually went for a short walk after I'd got a paper, first one since Sunday! have been suffering from a chest infection and was seen by a doctor on Monday who prescribed antibiotics. They seem to be taking ages to kick in, maybe takes longer the older you get? Had something to eat before I took them today and that helped ease the sick feeling. Another three days to go,and hopefully this cough will have gone ( fingers crossed). Got my hip injection in 3 weeks and hopefully that'll ease the continuous pain. Feeling like an old crock at the moment! Hate not getting out and doing things, or more to the point not feeling like doing things!

Am a bit envious of Gem enjoying swimming in the sea! Enjoy the rest of your stay! Nothing on the cards for me until September when I'm off to Croatia. Maybe a weekend in Somerset, but as that's the day after my injection we might not go. DD has booked us with the cancellation option.

The road outside my house has suddenly become very busy with traffic. The footpaths aren't very wide and it amazes me the number of people walking with their dogs on the outside of the pavement. I wish they would keep their dogs on the inside of them.

I'm going to go and sit in the shade for a little while, seemingly this antibiotic can make you more sensitive to sunlight!!!

Anyway, hope MiL wasn't too crabby, Oma; that your hospital results were OK, Plant and that everyone else has a good afternoon. Enough of my moaning for one day! xx

MIL was full of complaints , The cleaner was rubbish she doesn’t change the bed right ,
She doesn’t do good job of the windows etc , so I said get someone else but she just shrugged
Then it was the gardener again same old moans every week.

When we went in it was hello strangers I haven’t seen you in weeks,
1 week because I was ill😳
I held my tongue and just said I know at least a week it’s shocking isn’t it , she didn’t reply to that.

went from there to get Storm a new toy and a balloon for his birthday tomorrow.

DD dropping him off later as they fly to Sorrento for a week early in the morning .

Antibiotics can make you feel awfully sick if you take them on a empty stomach.

Oma, Your Mil just can’t be pleasant, she might have asked you if you felt better.

Had to do a lot of blowing into a tube with a mouth piece at one point I had to inhale something I am sure it was like Asthma patient's use, since then I have been coughing. The results are going to my doctor. Our surgery is shut at the moment as it was flooded. The cleaner left a tap running and it flooded everywhere and the computers, goodness know what is going to happen. We do have an another surgery a few miles away so I presume they are functioning from there.

WG so sorry you have pain from your hip. If you feel like it, I could pick you up and we could go for a coffee or lunch somewhere. Are you still doing your school support?

Daisy, we kept our original gates,they have been fused together.
We've always liked them, and didn't want to change them.
They are about 6ft tall,but sadly there is no family crest.

To say its July,it has been cold here today. Not a bit of sunshine and rained off and on.

Good morning, rain forecast here for most of the day, I have both GD's here, we went out for a meal last night, all really enjoyed it, this morning going to Rotterdam! I will be shattered!

I want to go to Lidl for fresh bread for their breakfast then I will have to wake them up, I got up to go to the toilet at 12-30, they were still awake, they said they are night owls!!!! I thought they had forgotten to switch the lights off

Plant, the hotel is very good thank you. It's very hot, over 30, but we plan a relaxing week, no sightseeing, so it's fine. I would like to return to Malta at a cooler time of year maybe to see some things.

We had Pizza last night, I don’t like pizza but B fancied one and won’t buy a big one just for him, so I say i will have some ,
I picked some of the topping off and pushed it around the plate , ended up making some toast for myself.

I couldn’t take that heat , enjoy the pool and just doing nothing😁

Storms birthday today,
He's had some toast with lots of butter and we are just back from a walk ,
He had to sniff every blade of grass, bush, and tree .
He is so good to walk doesn’t pull and waits when I tell him too.

I am having a sit down then I will dust the hall stairs and landing ,already did the main stuff before our walk,
Dont need to see to cats and fish till tea time as DD left early this morning and made sure they had food etc.

Oma, you know how much i hate cooking,so i thought a pizza would be ok for quickness after we got home.
