Good morning. We have glorious sunshine.
Got a load of darks in the washer.
Doing a roast chicken dinner today.
    DS1 coming for dinner.
Hubby wants to get all the garden ornaments out today. Some of them that are sentimental are wrapped up.
I'll post some photos on the garden ornaments thread later.
Daisy, the shoe rack is finished and in situ.

Good morning, it is a Bank holiday here to mark the end of the war, a lot of festivals etc, here in the village will be enough to do, not for me today, I am full of cold, it started on Thursday actually, then Friday a sore throat, yesterday it loosened up, at first I thought it was a sudden attack of hay fever, no, more a virus, chest, fever etc, it will soon clear, I hope.

Nanto, the shoe rack will be very handy and the ornaments will look good in the garden.

This is an interesting article, about the different ways we can make payments etc.
Most places in the Netherlands only accept Dutch debit cards and reject foreign cards - especially credit cards. Find out why this is in this article.

I hope to get the trousers for GD1 cut out and sewn together today so that she can try them on when they arrive home later this week.

Good Bank Holiday Sunday morning, everyone.

Nanto, isn't it great to see glorious sunshine! We've got cloud, but there's some brightness in the sky. Fingers crossed for it to brighten up some more. Enjoy your roast dinner with your DS1. Well done to your OH on getting the shoe rack finished so quickly.

Lizzie, poor you getting a nasty cold when there's so much going on in the village today. But, you probably need to rest and look after yourself, although you will probably enjoy starting to make GD1's trousers. Take care. xx

Thank for the article on bank cards - I'll read it over a coffee later.

It's a day of more of the same for us. OH still tidying the garage. He says he's made good progress, but there's still a lot to do as far as I can see. I've plenty to be getting on with in the garden.

        Enjoy your Sunday, everyone.

Storm is very good getting bathed , he isn’t like a lot of Husky’s who howl and cry, he’s not happy but stands there like a good boy and puts up with it ,
They give his coat a good blow out first .

            Good morning to all.

Oma, I'm sure we will always miss our parents xx Have a lovely breakfast.

Daisy, you are putting me to shame with all the spring cleaning - house and garden!

Feel better soon Lizzie. Bank holiday weekend here too, for May Day.

Nan2, I'm a fan of garden ornaments so would love to see the photos.

Today we are going to DD3's as it is her birthday (plus singer Adele's, they were born on the same day, both 36 ) A family gathering from 4 o'clock is planned.
It's sunny here but we did have a few spots of rain earlier.
Sooty-next-door is trying to help me type. He's not a lot of help.

            Have a good Sunday everyone.

Daisy, I expect you have sunshine now, it has arrived here. I have to keep my garage tidy as I garage my car. Time to unwrap your exotic plants?

Oma, Storm must look lovely with his clean fluffy coat. Enjoy your breakfast with family and friends

Lizzie, so sorry you have a virus, I hope you enjoy the festivities but take care to rest.

Nanto, yum yum, roast chicken dinner. You know the way to a mans heart.

Sorry I didn’t get around to posting yesterday, I had spent the night at DS and Dil’s, their house is always full of people. There was a music festival for two nights in the pub across the road, I didn’t go and dil only went for a bit, the house then filled with young people returning (well to me they are) including David Jason’s DD. GS3 and 4 were home so lots of cuddles. I stopped on the way home to visit GS1 and family (well baby T) he had grown and filled out. Are you keeping up? I got home and literally flaked out. Treating GD1 and family to a lunch at a local pub today. DD and Sil home tomorrow, I will be pleased to get back into my dull routine.

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

We had a lovely breakfast then some people came and sat at the next table only for me to realise it was someone I hadn’t seen for over 30 years,
She looked no different, she is 90 now and looks really well.
Lots of hugs and kisses were given .
She used to live next door to both my sister and myself , a big family but so kind ,
Im going to ring my sister now and tell her😁

Aww, how nice Oma to see the old neighbour and you both recognise each other

We dropped off the coffee table to DD1, and popped into Sainsbury's to buy some flowers for DD3. Her sisters and I are between us giving her a fairly expensive foraging day for her and SIL (her choice!) I wanted something to give her today, and shes not really into chocolate (Am I sure I brought the right baby home from the hospital?? )

Its a lovely day so far.

We had a lovely afternoon, we've just got home. The weather was so kind, we were in the garden the whole time.
DD enjoyed it and little GS3 loved having all his family there and keep smiling and naming us all Especially his beloved Bomble ( cousin Tom!)

What a busy time everyone has had. Forgive me for not commenting individually - I'm really tired and just off to bed.

We've had rain today, and it was so cold we lit the wood burner at lunchtime. OH has carried on with the garage. I took Eva out for a good walk but felt too tired to do much more than essentials.

I'll hopefully catch up tomorrow. x
