Oma, I hope B will pass the test but no real problem if he has to wait another year.

Gemini, it must be hard for you to see S off on a golfing holiday in the sunshine. Hope she brings back the trophy. Sorry about your knee, take care.

Nanto, I can’t remember the last time I ate beef. I have no objection but cooking it in the oven with pots on the top sounds good.

Daisy, I hope the sun shines so your DS can sit outside.

Good Friday morning, evryone. We have sunshine at the moment. Fingers crossed it stays dry.

Oma, poor B - what rotten timing for a chest infection. There seems to be a lot of people suffering from them at the moment, and one friend of mine has been feeling ill for over 2 weeks despite antibiotics.

Gem, isn't it just the way of things that you bump your new knee like that. I hope it's ok, but if the bruise is lower that must be where you hit the dishwasher hardest. Enjoy your reflexology today. Of course you're not jealous of OH's trip to Portugal. You'd hate having to play golf all day every day! Although I'm sure you could find something else to do! How long is she away for?

Plant, how lovely having a holiday in Normandy to look forward to. Have the house hunters had any luck yet? I imagine if mortgage rate interests are likely to fall people will hang on to see what happens. It's a bit of a lottery, isn't it.

Nanto, how lovely getting all your indoor jobs done yesterday. Since you can't go in the garden you will just have to put your feet up and relax - it's compulsory. . Steak and onions sounds great for a dull, wet day.

It's been a busy morning at Daisy Towers! OH had to take his car to the garage first thing. He'd just left when Sainsburys turned up nearly ½ hour early. I had just got out of the shower so they had to wait. A neighbour kindly offered to collect OH from the garage, so I put the shopping away quickly and did a few essential jobs. Then the hairdresser arrived and then OH got back. It seemed like Crewe station for a while, all the comings and goings. I've had my hair cut a bit shorter for a change.

OH has started grinding out the cement and grouting stuff out of the patio. There's so much dust flying round I can't go out and do any gardening.

Well I don't need to collect GS2 today!
It's a good job I checked as DD was certain she had told me I didn't need to as we will be having him all day tomorrow and overnight.
I don't know who was wrong/forgot but am glad I didn't do the half hour drive for no reason
A free day now my reflexology is done.

Plant it's sad to be missing out on a holiday but I am glad for them that they are going. They did this twice before the pandemic put a stop to it. They didn't get round to arranging it for last year. Sadly one of the four passed away in August, after they had booked this trip. Another friend took her place and it's on again this year.
They are away Sunday to Friday, Daisy.

Gem, what a good job you checked about collecting GS2. Enjoy your unexpectedly free afternoon.

I remember you saying your OH had had to cancel a golf trip because of Covid, and how sad that one of the original 4 is not longer with you. I'm sure the foursome will have a wonderful time out on the golf course - hopefully in the sunshine.

Well after 11-1/2 years B has finally been discharged ,
They said they are always there if he needed them though.

We didn’t think he would get there as he took the antibiotics this morning then got dreadful nausea.
He had a lie down then had some toast and started to feel better.

Gem, I hope S enjoys the golfing, but, she will.

I had a really good evening with the group, the meal was delicious, we were in a pub/restaurant in the village, I have heard the food is good and it is. The people in the group are all very friendly and I know them well now, it was 10pm when I walked home, one couple wanted to run me home but by the time they had got the car turned round etc I was almost home.

This morning I went to do the coffee, I made a cake to take for them for my birthday, they loved it.

This afternoon I have been on the bike to an oriental supermarket in Den Haag, we used to go a lot before it moved, I should go more really, I got all I want for the meal on Sunday, just the chicken etc tomorrow. It is a good bike ride through woods and parks most of the way, saw kms of buttercups oma along with lots of other wild flowers etc.

The trousers I made for GD1, she loves them! Now the pattern is good it is easy enough for me to make them, I got some material in Delft yesterday and want to go to the material market in Rotterdam on Monday morning for a few odds and ends, I have finished my skirt this afternoon, took the machine to pieces and oiled it! I learned that from YouTube!!

I have an old iPod in there to entertain me, lots of old music to listen to, my mother loved Jim Reeves and I have quite a few of him on there to sing along to.

I seem to have had a hectic week, my TV hasn't been on all week.

Lizzie, are those yellow flowers by the water flag irises? We have some in our garden. We brought them from my mum's before we sold the house.

                    You are always busy

Oma, good news that B has been discharged. Hope the antibiotics kick in soon.

After hubby had gone out this morning,i cleaned the washing machine and tidied round.
I didn't expect the weather to brighten up,but it did, the grass was almost dry.
So, we got all the gardening done.
Then we had dinner, and i finally got in the shower about 2ish.
DS1 came for the afternoon, then when he was going Bro in law from the bungalow arrived.
We spent all afternoon sitting in the garden.

Lizzie, lovely photos. We've got some iris's in the garden. Our are yellow and white.

We are out early tomorrow morning so I may not get here until later in the day.

We need to be at DD2's in time for them to set off for a morning wedding. We will be ferrying to choir and ballet in the morning. After lunch we will drop GD at her friend's house and bring GS2 here for a sleepover.
We also need to feed GS1's guinea pigs on the way back as he and his mum are in Center Parks for the weekend.

                            Good morning.

A busy day for you Gem.

Hubby has been talking about going to Pontefract today.

Looking a bit dull, but it might brighten up, like it did yesterday.
Not going for anything specific, but we like it there.

Have a good day ladies, whatever you are doing.

                              Morning Nanto.
Hope the weather stays fine for your trip out ,
At least you know the grass is cut and garden is tidy 😁

A really busy day , grandmothers duties never stop 😁
Not only the children but the fur babies too 😁

                              Lizzie lovely photos
Sounds like you had a really good meal with nice people .

Its quite a nice start to the day a bit overcast but supposed to lift by 10 , it’s warm though.
I stripped the bed yesterday so we didn’t bother making it up last night, we just slept on the mattress cover , I did put the bottom sheet on and the pillow cases ,
So while I did my housework B made the bed up.

Taking GS & Lucie out for tea so no thinking what we can have , a bit pottering in the garden is as much as I’m doing today .

                                Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Lizzie, what lovely flowers. I thought the tall ones were flag iris, but they look great whatever they are. What a lovely evening you had with your group, and I bet the cake went down a treat with the coffee. You can't beat home-made cake. Your meal for Sunday sounds interesting. What are you making? I don't sew, but know my DIL2's mother will use the same pattern over and over again and using different materials and finishing touches everything looks different. I suppose as well, that the fit works every time. Your GD is a lucky young lady.

Nanto, it's lovely to spend time sitting in the garden after the long dreary winter and spring. Enjoy yourself if you do go to Pontefract.

Gem, I'm dizzy just reading about your busy day. What would your family do without you! Did OH get her packing done yesterday?

Oma, it's time you had a lazy day! Enjoy your tea with GS and Lucie. Great to have a day off from thinking about what to eat. How is B today?

It's dull here and raid is forecast for midday. So probably no more work on the patio today. OH has gone haring off to the Beaulieu Autojumble this morning - not sure what for, but it seemed important to him. He did quite well with the patio yesterday, but we have got all the furniture etc dumped on the lawn and I'm keen to get it off the grass sooner rather than later! His car went in to the garage to have an electrical problem fixed yesterday. Usually they ring to say it's ready, but they didn't last night, so I hope it's not a bigger job than we expected.

Today is my friend M's 80 birthday, and another friend, A is doing a meal for her tonight. M likes to eat fairly early, so we're expected by 6.30.
