Daisy I do have exercises like standing on my toes then rocking back onto my heals , they don’t make a lot of difference to be honest although I still do them every night just incase .
MIL is fastidious with her ironing everything has to be done just so , she’s always been the same .

    Lizzie
Well you didn’t expect to get wet did you
Hope runners keep dry but I’m Sure they are prepared for it 😁

    Well talk about heart jolting,
We went to the post office in the next village it was very quiet , coming down the country road surrounded by huge trees we were going slow as someone must have sown wild flower seeds and the display was lovely so as the road was empty we slowed down to look ,

All of a sudden a big Grey squirrel suddenly jumped out of the top of a tree literally flying , it just missed our bonnet , if we were 6 inches further on it would either have landed on the car or under the wheels .
Talk about a shock , it then sat on the side of the grass verge like it didn’t have a care in the world.

I won’t say what B called it 😁 it certainly got the heart thumping 🤦‍♀️😁

Gem, I'm sorry - I didn't see your post this morning before I posted. I got two loads of washing dried in no time, but we are also forecast some rain tomorrow and Wednesday. It's been a glorious day today. Did you have coffee after your Aquafit class? Enjoy your evening out. I hope S is having great weather for the golf.

Lizzie, what awful timing for the cloud burst, and then not having many stalls to choose from at the market, no wonder you aren't keen to return. That race must take some organising over a distance like that.

Oma, the thing with exercises you don't know whether you would be better or worse if you don't do them. I'm sure they must help a bit. It was lucky the road was quiet when that kamikaze squirrel leapt out! What a shock for you and B.

I seem to have been busy without achieving much. I've pottered round in the garden this afternoon, and had to water some of the tubs. After months of rain, it's amazing how quickly they are drying out. OH got some of the difficult to reach weeds out of the back border - I think he didn't feel like doing any more on the patio, but he did make a start eventually.

After a dull start it’s been lovely here , we had to water the pots too ,
I managed to get the weeds sprayed on the drive , had to hunt some down as they were still tiny.
B put another coat of stain on the sleepers ,
Poor J I bet he dreads doing the patio , it’s one of those jobs that take forever.

The Squirrel must be like a cat with 9 lives , it was really lucky we were not going any faster ,
We often get Pheasants flying out when travelling along the high way but I’ve never seen a flying squirrel before 😁

Thats one flooded road Lizzie 😱

Oma, we had a squirrel on our fence on saturday morning.
I've seen it about 3 times, but it was first time for hubby.

I didn't bother doing the towels this morning, weather didn't look very promising.
Its been cloudy and cold today.
The kitchen was cleaned top to bottom instead.

Believe it or not,no visitors today.

No visitors Nanto , that’s a change for you 😁
We have squirrels living in the trees behind our fence , they drive storm mad when they come in the garden,
he dashed out but has no chance of catching one they too quick , he wouldn’t know what to do with it even if he did catch one 😁

Just back from a lovely meal out with my friends.
One of my aqua friends was at the class this morning and we stayed for coffee, so a good day .

                  Scary squirrel incident Oma

Wow Lizzie, I have only seen rain like that in Florida.

Daisy I know those days when you are busy but don't appear to have achieved much

Good morning. Looks a better morning so definitely going to get the towels washed.

Sis in laws dog has got some whippet in him. They take him down to the wood near there house. If they let him off the lead,he chases the squirrels and he catches them.

Breaded chicken, some form of potatoes, veg and gravy for dinner.

mine is at that stage when no matter what you do it goes flat.

B has to take the car to the garage a safety recall , they said would only take about 1 hour.

Not sure what we are doing later see how it goes.

                        Good morning ladies.

                        Cute Disney babies Nan2

Best get the car problem sorted out Oma, whatever it is.

It's very wet here, but I don't think its actually raining now. No washing to be done today anyway really as it's only me. Maybe I will find a dry couple of hours before the end of the week!
Library this morning and GS1 from school this afternoon. I have a Tesco delivery coming between 5 and 6.

I have been thinking about Enfys and wondering how she is.

Good morning, there has been (more) rain during the night but it is dry now, showers forecast for this evening and the rest of the week1

I am just cutting yet another pair of trousers out for GD1, they are soon sewn together so no problem there. She was saying she was called into the office at Lidl at 8am on Saturday morning, she wondered what it was, she has been promoted!!! She is now a "team leader"! She finished college anytime soon for a few months so can work more hours.

A flying squirrel Oma, I was once held up by mating swans!!! They are massive when right in front of the car!

I hope you get the towels dry Nanto.

                              Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, it sounds as though your sister-in-law's dog enjoys the thrill of the chase, and he must be fast to actually catch squirrels. When dogs are bred for a specific 'job' it's hard to stop them, but they can learn to control their chase instinct and redirect it into something more positive, like 'fetch' etc. Is your sister-in-law worried about her dog's behaviour? This is quite a good broad-ranging article about prey drive: https://doodlepooch.com/prey-drive-i...ing-instincts/

Oma, there comes a point when a hair cut becomes a necessity, doesn't there. I had mine cut last week - I couldn't put up with it for another day! I hope it's nothing too serious with the car. Will B be able to wait for it?

Gem, it must seem quiet at home with S away. Hopefully the weather will improve later in the day. Enjoy the library and seeing GS1 after school. Have you ordered some 'treats' in your Tesco delivery?

We've got sunshine, at the moment. I think OH is going to get on with the patio and I've got plenty of gardening to do. It was so warm yesterday I sat reading in the summerhouse for an hour after lunch. It was too warm to walk Eva, so I took her into the Forest about 6 o'clock and it was lovely and very quiet. Of course, she found plenty of mud so we went down to the river for a quick swim afterwards.

Sorry, Plant and Lizzie. I posted without seeing your posts.

Lizzie, the weather still seems very unsettled, doesn't it. Well done to your GD1 on her first promotion. She must be pleased to be having some more new trousers. What a talented granny you are. xx
