    Morning everyone

Daisy J will have to sit in the car while it rains to see where the leak is coming from 🤣
Black is easier for me as I hate finger marks on chrome, my oven has a chrome strip where the controls are I get sick of polishing that little strip so a chrome bin would be my nightmare😁
A day of reading and doing nothing is what you need , you are always dashing about.

Oh dear I do hope the Panto isn’t too bad this year 😁
The things we do for our GC and DC. At least you and DD can laugh about it together ,
You never know it could be good 👍

    Nanto
How nice to be able to wear the dress again ,
I think we have all bought a wedding outfit in the past for it never to be worn again,
Be nice to see a picture of it so we can imagine you in it 😁

Well it’s raining as usual everything is so dark and water logged , even the trees look black with so much water,
Im desperate to clean my front door and step it’s really dirty but there is no point as the rain is lashing against it bringing dirt with it.

Ive cleaned all my work tops down put one wash in and towels waiting to go in
Pottered around as not much to do really ,
we might go to the garden centre for lunch ,
We not meeting our friends as usual this morning James not feeling well.
Im not fat just 6ft too small

DD has advised me to have a drink beforehand Oma
OH will drop me off (it's part of the university) and DD will drop me home afterwards.

Gemini, You might be surprised Gemini, it could be good this year, have the drink anyway. I am sure the children enjoy performing.

Daisy, did you find time to finish your painting? I hope the car leak is found and dealt with. We had a car when we were first married and I used to have to have a plastic mac over my legs and when we turned a corner it poured out until we managed to get it fixed. That curry you cooked sounds interesting, never heard of that one. did you use a sauce mix?

Oma, sorry to hear about your miserable weather, we are having some sunny mild weather, not going to last. Very quiet here today, no visitors. I am about to watch the next game of rugby.

Nanto, when my OH was alive we always went out for lunch on Saturdays after the children got older.

Oma, i haven't worn the dress before, thats why it needs shortening.

I have worn the outfit i got for her wedding again, i wore it when DS2 got married again in September.

Anyway,i have started pinning it up. It has to be done twice, because its lact it needs doing twice.

Gem, hope the panto wasn't too bad.

I will report back about the panto Beauty and the Beast apparently.

I didn't get any clothes sorted today. I was OH's assistant in putting up shelves, and we sorted out some bookshelves and photos .

I have decided to take the dress to a place in one our shopping malls that does alterations.

Nanto, it sounded a difficult dress to work on, and it's good you've got somewhere you can get it done for you.

Gem, I hope Beauty and the Beast is better than you are expecting. Still, an alcoholic drink before hand sounds sensible! Or compulsory!! You must be really pleased the decorating is finished.

Plant, I didn't finish the painting. It's been another lazy day, until I noticed our neighbours had arrived back from a long ski holiday. I knew there would be nothing more edible than dog food in the house, so we invited them round to share our curry! It was great to see them back, and we have had a good evening. It wasn't a sauce mix, just the appropriate paste in a small jar, but if was so easy and actually quite nice. Eva and our neighbour's dog were so pleased to see each other.

Oma, I hope it didn't rain all day - it's so dreary isn't it. It felt much colder here today, but a fair bit of sunshine.

I enjoyed Beauty and the Beast! More importantly GS did. It didn't finish until almost 10 so he was tired! The younger children must have been more so. Good job it's half term now

Daisy I'm sure your neighbours appreciated that kind gesture! Our friends have occasionally invited us round to eat on return from a holiday and it's always welcome .

Good morning, you all seem to have had a busy weekend, I am still not feeling 100%, it comes and goes so I will use my appointment at the doctor tomorrow.

Gem, I remember GD1 at a theatre group, she was only about 6 or 7 years old, they did a show, I seem to remember it was Mathilda, it was so long, far too long for children of that age, or their grandparents!

Nanto, you do right to take your dress in to get altered if you don't feel like doing it yourself.

I was reading yesterday that the nature here is a month early! The trees are already green etc.

Oma, there is a black bin where I do coffee, believe me, you see fingers on it as well. In fact there is a lot of black there. I have a Wesco, a German make, I have had it years, in fact DS1 has had one even longer and it is still going strong.

Good morning Lizzie and all who follow.

We were only saying yesterday how you can see things in the garden coming back into life.

Gem, glad you enjoyed the pantomime.

Daisy, that was nice of you to invite the neighbours to share your meal, I bet they really appreciated it.

I want to get the upstairs windows cleaned today.

Dinner is potato croquettes, fish fingers and beans.

                        Morning everyone

                        Lizzie
I have a black bin now and apart from a daily wipe of the lid it stays clean thank goodness,
Yes do keep your DS appointment try find our what’s making you feel unwell xx

                        Daisy
I bet your neighbours were glad of the invite , that’s the thing about coming back from holiday having to instantly find something to make a meal with ,

                        Gem
Pleased the Panto was good , maybe they learned from last years mistakes 😁

                        Nanto
Best to take the dress if it’s a faff on ,
I once had a long dress for the cruise I was going on and although I would normally take it up myself this was like a layered floaty material , no way was I tackling that myself , it only cost £10 to take up and they did it at short notice too as we were going away the next day.

Waiting for electrician he’s actually my hairdressers husband ,
We have a Three way light switch in the kitchen , it’s Chrome with a white bit between the switches and a piece broke off ,
Works fine but unsightly so he’s coming to replace it for me,
B will tackle ordinary switches but not the 3 way one.

Apart from that nothing planned as such .

Good Monday morning, everyone. We've had frost overnight and it's very chilly, but at least the sun is now shining.

Oma, those multi-way switches look so complicated, don't they. Much better to get an electrician in. I'm always nervous of OH doing anything electrical that's more complicated than changing a bulb.

Nanto, I hope it doesn't rain if you're cleaning windows. It's lovely to see things coming back to life in the garden. I planted a terracotta pot up with iris reticulata and they are now in full flower - very pretty. The only problem is I wanted to put them on the front doorstep, but the pot has shattered in the frosts and if I move it all the bulbs will fall out.

Lizzie, I'm glad you've got a doctor's appointment - you have been feeling up and down for a while now and it may be you just need some antibiotics to clear things up. You must have had a mild winter for everything to be growing so quickly.

Gem, it's great that you GS (and you) enjoyed Beauty and the Beast and I'm sure half term is very welcome! Will you be having the GS1 and 2 during the week?

Today OH is helping to collect the greenhouse for GS2 - they got it on Freecycle, but have had to wait to get a man and a van to move it. At least it's not raining! I'm going to catch up on the washing - it seems to mount up far too quickly.

                            Good morning everyone.

Wise to keep that appointment if you're not 100% Lizzie .

Daisy baby GS3 is coming for his usual Thursday and is staying overnight as his mum and dad are having a night away. GS1 is coming on Thursday too and GS2 on Friday, so baby will get to see them both. I don't know about GD, these teenagers and their plans

This morning I am doing more clothes sorting and this afternoon we are going to a garden centre. It is DD1's birthday soon she wants a nice new planter for her little cherry tree .

Gme, you're going to have a busy week - but lovely. You're doing well with sorting out clothes. Are your wardrobes looking empty now?

All you busy people, I have no plans for today and like you Daisy we have Jack Frost and some lovely sunshine.

Lizzie, a check up with the doctor sounds a good idea.

Gemini, a busy week for you with GC, the boys will be pleased to see each other. So pleased the panto was better this year.

Daisy, lucky neighbours to be offered a meal on their return from holiday, Eva was pleased to see her friend so happy all round. Good luck with the greenhouse. I don’t use mine for growing now but it is a good storage place.

Oma, Over the years I have made and altered clothes for myself and the family but my confidence has gone. I have a top that needs the armholes taken in and it sits looking at me. I feel I should find a professional to do it.
