I tried getting on here last night but couldn't..

Oma, we still have the heating on.

I was hoping to get the grass cut this morning, but I think rain is forecast about 8ish.

Took some sliced potatoes, onions and corned beef out of the freezer last night. I thought it would be an easy dinner in case I was busy in the garden. Anyway, we'll see how things go.

Morning Nanto.
No my niece has a 18 yr old son a lovely caring boy but he’s at work all day.
She does have 5 brothers & sisters who all live near , so they will take turns calling in morning and evening and those that work near will go in their dinner break plus her mother, they are a tight knit family so she’s never short of help and company.

I couldn’t get on here last night either I gave up in the end .

B has blood test at 9 then I have mine at 11.30 , they couldn’t do them both together, blooming madness so two trips and that’s the morning taken up.

Its fine at the moment but chilly and rain forecast sometime this morning,
oh for a nice warm day.
Not asking for tropical heat just a nice warm bright day 🙄😁

Good morning, your niece will be pleased to be home Oma, I had the same as you both, couldn't get on here last night.

Oma, the GD's are fine, GD1 phoned yesterday to thank me for the trousers I made at the weekend, I gave them to DS1 when he was here on Sunday. She has phoned this morning whilst I was at the gym, she will phone later on.

We have the same weather, it poured down yesterday morning, very cold with it, I think it was 12 degrees.!

I am having my hair cut this afternoon then treatment later on today.

Disappointing day weatherwise for my birthday yesterday. Very mixed with lots of rain showers so we didn't even bother with the garden. Apart from that a very good day. Bright sun this morning

This weather is unbelievable, I put the heating on the yesterday evening. I got caught out in my sunroom again, lovely and sunny when I went in and had to evacuate in the rain. Trefoil meeting this afternoon (Ex Guiders)

Oma, your niece will be in safe hands with her family keeping an eye on her. Being home is the best place.

Gemini, Shame about the weather for your celebration with friends in the garden, can’t trust the weather at all.

We didn't get the rain that was forecast for earlier this morning. I got the grass cut while hubby was out. I'd finished it for 10'clock.

Oma, glad your niece has plenty of family to keep a check on her.

Quiet on here today.

We had visitors all afternoon. Hubby's sister and her hubby came.
Had a good couple of hours putting the world to rights.

Finally stopped raining ,
after lunch we went to look at wall paper for our main wall in the sitting room,
Well we would have but when we got there the store had closed down.

It was a 20 minutes drive to the retail park it was on so decided to call into Matalan as I still want some more cardigans
They had nothing so all in all a wasted journey.

We came home and I ordered two from M&S online they will be delivered to the shop on Thursday.

We will have to travel further to look at wallpaper as the only store near us that sell it is B&Q and we didn’t like any they had.

A good morning at the library. The librarian bought me a muffin to have with our morning coffee
She called in last week with a card and present for my birthday!

First for me today with acupuncture! Had appointment with the physio about my hip/thigh/knee. The exercise she gave haven't really helped, in fact I had to take strong painkillers at the weekend. She asked if I was open to trying acupuncture, so I said I'd give it a go. Didn't feel the needles except for one sharp pain, but my hip became very warm while they were in place. She did some more pushing and pulling when they came out and it was noticeably easier for me to move, so maybe it did some good. Will reserve judgement until tomorrow! She also wants me to see a back consultant for an x-ray and MRI scan.

Had to go for my hearing aid check up this morning and the bus I intended catching didn't turn up. So it was a quick rush home to get car and drive in. Got caught in horrendous traffic jam caused by temporary traffic lights. Plant, avoid Hazlemere crossroads!!The chap who does the tests said I was the second person this morning who's bus hadn't turned up! Aids now adjusted and I can certainly hear better!

Am hoping this weather improves before my trip North of the Border at the end of the month. It really is quite depressing. x

First job for me today is cleaning the bathroom. Hoping to get the towels washed and out to dry.

Dinner is crispy sliced potatoes, fish fingers and peas.

Nan2 we had fish fingers last night! It was OH's turn to cook and I was pleased when I saw what it was
We haven't had those for ages.

Aquafit this morning, followed by coffee hopefully. I don't think I have afternoon plans, but I must check my diary .

Just checked my diary. Free afternoon but it my birthday meal out tonight! 10 of us to a country pub. Friends are giving us a lift. I would have remembered eventually

Good morning, I hope that you find your wallpaper Oma, I have more success on-line, we have a few very good wallpaper stores in the area as well. I go for the idea of how more it costa how easier it is to go on the wall.

WG I hope the acupuncture works, my neighbour, M, used to do it in her practise, she still does it for a few people.

I have a very sore finger, I cut it on Friday with a sharp knife, I knew at the time it should have been stitched, I did phone the surgery but it was lunch time, I had to go to the surgery yesterday and told them this, she said "you should have pressed the emergency button"! I didn't think it was as bad as that! I could have phoned after lunch, I always think it will heal!! It is infected so I am soaking it in soda to clean it out. It is much easier than it was and the fever is disappearing.

I am going out for lunch later with friends from the aqua. It is dry at the moment but chilly, I heard from the man at the market that it was 9 degrees!

Can you buy antibiotic cream over there? It is one thing I always buy whenever we go to the States. Neosporin, or usually a pharmacist own brand of the same thing. We only use it sparingly and when we have to, but for things like that it's wonderful. Works really fast. It can't be bought over the counter here.
