Good Wednesday morning, everyone. It's dull but dry here, so not too bad.

My knee feels a bit better today, and I'll try and be careful not to do anything silly.

I'm expecting a phone call in a couple of minutes and need to get a shower first, so I'll be back later. It's the usual Wednesday scramble with OH and pals working on the kit car and dog training, plus I decided to cook a large gammon joint today, ao that needs attention.

DD and Sil safely back, they had a very interesting and enjoyable holiday in Malaga. They were surprised how clean and tidy their place was, GD worked hard to leave it tidy and clean.
I am having a quiet morning then board games this afternoon, it will be nice to get back into a routine but I am missing a visit from H this morning. GD is a little anxious about H’s speech, GD was a late speaker, the medics found she was a bit deaf and fitted grommets but they have had H’s hearing checked. I think they should have her checked again as she will be starting pre-school soon.

Daisy, sorry to hear you have had a painful knee, don’t overdo things but keep moving. We are all aches and pains.

Gemini, we are ladies who lunch now so take advantage of a discounted meal in the Library cafe. Did I see a notice on FB that your GS has lost his school bag, if so, I hope it is found soon.

Good afternoon. Dull and chilly here after a nice couple of days. Knit and natter this morning, which was nice, we are a nice friendly group. It’s held in the little cafe I. Our local park so I have a lovely walk there and back so a bit of exercise too.

take care of that knee, Daisy. Mine have been so much easier since the injections and I’m able to get about much better.

have a good day everyone, 🌞

knit & Natter sounds a good group . Is it every week ? Something to look forward tooxx

It must have felt strange H not coming in this morning,
GS1 was a late talker and had a lisp now look at him , but maybe H should have her ears checked again just in case.

My late sister never uttered a word till she was 3 my parents said they were very worried but our old Dr at the time a wise man in many things, He said there was nothing wrong with her and she would talk when she was ready ,
My goodness could she talk as she got older we couldn’t shut her up 😁

The knit and natter groups seem popular these days Enfys. Such a good idea. I think my friend M goes to one.

                Lizzy, you are always busy!

Plant no sign of GS's school bag. It's a mystery. He puts his bag in the back of my car when I picked him up last week. I wait in the car for him and he is 11 years old so I don't get out and supervise. When we got our house his guitar was in the back but no bag. I presumed he had left it at school but it's not there. So possibly it somehow fell out of the car as he closed the door. Unlikely in my opinion, but if not where is it?!

We had a nice afternoon. Bus into town then a shortish queue to get into Betty's
We had our 'usual' of one afternoon tea, plus a chicken sandwich, a portion of chips and a second pot of tea. We share the whole lot. It is delicious and just enough. 2 afternoon teas is just too many cakes, and costs another £10 over doing it this way.

Exercise plus standing is playing havoc with my shoulder so I am resting now!

Been windy all day here. Just started raining.

Parcel just arrived from Amazon. Some foil plates for my homemade pies that will fit in the air fryer.
Don't seem to be able to get them that size in the shops.

Lizzie,so thoughtful of you to take your neighbour out.

A bit of a breeze this morning. Just going to finish my second cuppa of the morning, then going to get a dark wash on.

I think I'll change the bedding and clean upstairs.

Shopping coming between 9 and 10.

Gammon and pineapple for dinner with rosti potatoes and peas and sweetcorn.

                    Have a good day ladies.

                      Good morning Nan2.

It's a long time since I had gammon. I like mine with pineapple AND egg though

                      Good morning everyone else.

Baby E day today. To our surprise the golf course is open, so OH will be there late morning.

                        No baby E

DD3 was sick several times last night. Baby seems fine in himself but has had a very liquidy nappy this morning so they and we don't want to take the risk. OH and I have a night away booked on Sunday and if we caught anything it would no doubt kick in just in time for that.
We didn't have him last week due to the water pipe leak fiasco.

Gemini, You certainly don’t want a sickness bug. I hope DD and baby will be better soon. Pleased to hear OH is going to be able to play golf.

Will pop back later when there are some more posts

Good Thursday morning everyone. Let's hope February brings us some better weather (always hopeful) and more signs of Spring.

Nanto, enjoy your gammon and pineapple. I'm looking for ways to use up the huge gammon joint I roasted yesterday. OH loves it, but a little goes a long way for me.

Gem, I hope Baby E doesn't get his mummy's sickness bug. You and OH are wise to avoid it, especially with your night away on Sunday. I wonder what happened to GS's school bag. Could another child have taken it by mistake - that happened to GD1 once. I hope S enjoys the golf.

Plant, I think it's a good idea for H to have a check up, just in case there's a bit of a problem, but as others have said, children do vary in all their milestones. Our GS1 was a bit late talking, but he never stops now!

We've got sunshine, so OH and I are going to prune a big rambling rose later today, and a couple of other plants that need winter pruning.

Today is 20 years since my beloved sister died .

Been to MILs , not too many moans , she’s having her hair permed this afternoon , we will get the moan about that no doubt as she always complains it’s too tight , keep saying tell them to put bigger perm rollers in but then she says if they do that it won’t last as long , can’t win with her🙄

Took her 2 Hot pots, A Chinese curry , A shepherd’s pie,Fish pie , Liver casserole and two puds ,

She decided she didn’t like the chicken on her roast dinner we took last week , it’s the same chicken we always use.
She doesnt want Yorkshire puds anymore gone off them, and she doesn’t like Chicken Korma anymore it’s too sweet ,
She loved it a few weeks ago .😳🙄

Hallo everyone, you just can't please your MIL Oma!!!

It is a lovely day here, I have been to visit my friend in the care home, she is getting worse, she didn't recognise me, she usually calls me by name then mentions a few out of the flat but not today, she did know it was someone she knew but couldn't place me, I was talking to one of the carers and she said that is how they are, if I go tomorrow she may recognise me. I don't mind, I know how she is and let her talk, she does enjoy having company, that is what the carer said as well, she said not to feel put off because she didn't know my name, I told her that doesn't bother me, I just visit when I can. On leaving someone passing shouted to me to tell the staff one man was on the run in his pyjama bottoms!! The carer went running after him and got him back indoors. He had taken the chance to sneak out when he got the chance.

GD1 is supposed to be coming later for the friend to mend her bike, I have just made some chocolate/lemon buns in case she does come!

Gem, I hope that DD3 and the baby are soon feeling better.
