Good morning, a lovely sunny morning, felt very much like autumn at 7am when I went to the gym.

Gem, covid is doing the rounds here, there was a fair/festival in the next village the other week and so many had covid the following week.

Daisy, you were busy in the garden etc. Daisy, my father came from Scotland and he loved the "real" black pudding. When he was in Scotland he always returned with a roll of both, black pudding and sausage.

I am pleased with myself, I have been looking for an antique mirror to place on the chest of drawers in my bedroom, for years I have wanted one and gave up the idea, I saw one for sale, local, in fact just up the road, I made an offer but the lady said someone was interested, I got a message that it was going to cost a fortune to send as a parcel so if I was still interested it was mine! I am going to pick it up at 9-30am.

Our aqua started yesterday, I cycled on my own as the other 2 ladies had other things to do. I really enjoyed it.

Nanto, my DB2 is heading to Spain for 2 months this week, I was thinking of booking a flight and going to visit, then, I came to the conclusion that I don't like the sun!!

Im no good with the sun either , I have never liked sun bathing it’s too hot.

the way the flights are with the black out yesterday it’s causing havoc,
My Nephew who is in the Army has been in Spain on holiday this week he’s due back today but some airlines are saying a week before some get a flight

      Gem
Hope they haven’t passed it on to you .

        Good Tuesday morning, everyone.

It's cloudy here, but no rain forecast. Fingers crossed.

Nanto, is the pub your local one? Enjoy your lunch.

Lizzie, how lovely that you've found the perfect mirror. It sounds as though it's been a long search. One of the cheery things at this time of year is getting back to favourite activities. Is aqua a weekly class? It would be nice for you to see your DB2 in Spain, but can understand your worries over the heat. Would it be ok towards the end of his stay in October? That black pudding sounds like the 'real thing' - delicious.

Oma, I hope you can find exactly the right items for your MIL - it sounds as though she has got quite fixed ideas on what she wants. Is J looking forward to Freshers' Week? I bet there are lots of sports and activities he might enjoy. I hope your nephew gets back soon. I hope he doesn't get into any trouble if he is late back - it's not his fault.

Gem, I hope your DD1 and GS2 aren't feeling too poorly. xx

          Good morning ladies.

Enjoy the pub meal Nan2. I agree covid is here to stay, we just have to do our best to avoid catching it and passing it on.

Well done on getting the mirror Lizzie! It should be cooling down in Spain soon Lizzie, maybe you could go towards the end of his stay?

Oma, there is so much chaos and misery caused by this airline problem isnt there?

          You deserved that wine Daisy!

A dull cool dull morning here! As I haven't got GS1 as planned, I will go to the library to do my usual shift this morning. If they don't need me I will leave
I need to go to the post office too and pick up an Argos order from our local Sainsbury's.

Gem, our posts crossed. I'm sure the librarian will be delighted to have the unexpected help this morning.

I have been for the mirror, it is exactly what I had in mind!! It is quite large Oma, I went in the car, even though it was only 2 streets away. Your MIL certainly knows what she wants!

Gem and Daisy, Spain is no go for me with the sleeves and tights, he is travelling to Europoort so may get to call in, but, I doubt it as he is expecting the roads to be like they were 30 years ago, not the traffic there is nowadays.

Lizzie, beautiful mirror! It looks really good, I would like that too.

Its a good job I went to the library! My help was definitely needed and I worked hard for almost 3 hours. I had forgotten that the Tuesday after a bank holiday Monday is very busy. Not only more customers but more reserved books etc to look for. I had a very long list to work through.
I will miss next week due to Birmingham, then I will only have one more Tuesday before my op.

It's quite sunny here now. OH on the golf course, I am putting my feet up for a couple of hours now having been on them all morning

Thank you, I am like a child with a new toy!! It was a bargain as well, €10!!! My neighbour has just been to admire it.

I have sorted all the drawers out now so all nice and tidy.

You will be tired out Gem, a good thing you can get some rest now.

I am going to take GD's some strawberries, I went for them this morning.

Daisy, the aqua is on a Wednesday morning as well, I go to the circuit on a Wednesday morning so just go to aqua on a Monday.

I have never tried black pudding and I have no desire to do so.

Why didn't I just shut up!

I got a load of washing out on the line and even did a pile of ironing. Had lunch in the garden, then decided to treat me and Eva to a nice long walk in the Forest.

It started drizzling a bit, and I congratulated myself on being sensible enough to put a lightweight fleece on. Then it came down a bit harder, and then harder still and we were nearly half an hour's walk away from the car! We got back to the car like two drowned rats. Eva shook herself dry, I just dripped everywhere. I got home to find OH merrily beavering away in the garage, with the door wide open, totally oblivious to the weather, the washing and the garden furniture.

Lizzie, I can't believe you only paid €10 for that very grand mirror. It looks perfect.

Gem, at least the morning at the library must have flown by with being so busy. I hope you at least got a coffee. I hope S enjoyed her golf.

Nanto, for some reason I imagined that the pub was within walking distance, but it must be one you enjoy.

Plant, Oma and I will share any black puddings that come your or Gem's way!

Good morning, I know how you felt in the heavy shower and then to find out your DH didn't realise he would have to take the washing from the line etc!!! There are showers forecast here again today, it was lovely the last 2 days.

Thanks about the mirror, it really has come home! It was a bargain as well as being exactly what I have searched for for years.

When do you all leave for Birmingham? DS1 flies to Sweden today, I don't think there are any flights delayed here, as yet.

Well Daisy, I just did the same as you, went to the market etc early, a slight drizzle turned into a downpour!
