Oma, how exciting for GS now the flat is his. I am sure you will find plenty to do to make it cosy for him. I used to love liver and onions, haven’t had it for years.

Gem, I am sure you are all having a lovely time, the pool will be very popular from morning to night.

Daisy, busy as usual, at least you are having a break soon.

Not long back from the hospital appt. Stayed and had a coffee with DS and GS2. Everything fine but they want to see me again in 6 months. DS was pleased (not)as it is a nightmare to park at this hospital and they keep adding bits on and changing the dept I have to go to. Board games this afternoon and a BBQ this evening. Day a bit too busy for me but the BBQ was cancelled yesterday because of the rain. We are having a lovely sunny day today so I hope it lasts.

Oma, I agree with you about the poor man serving 17 years whilst not being quilty! Those years are lost, unbelievable really.

Your GS will be excited about the flat, is it in the centre? DS1 spends a lot of time in Leeds when he is the UK.

I think GD2 will just be keeping the shelves tidy etc, from what I hear anyway.

Oma, it's lovely that GS has had such a good time on holiday.

Parking at our hospital is terrible too Plant.

We have had a day at the villa, with some people going shopping for food. OH, DD2 the 4 children and I stayed here. Baby was a bit unsure about the pool this morning but loved it this afternoon
We are having a barbecue tonight, baby has eaten already. Must go now SIL2 has my G&T ready

Lizzie, its awful. That's 17 years he can never get back.
Just imagine if that was your dad/son/brother or any other relative.

We had a lovely couple of hours socialising today, made a nice change.

We had some decent weather today, apparently it will be warmer tomorrow.

Oma, good news about the flat for GS.

Gem, pleased the holiday is going well.

I've just caught up on the story about the man who was wrongly imprisoned for 17 years. It's horrendous, poor man. I only hope he can somehow look to the future and make the most of the rest of his life without the bitterness that he's entitled to feel.

Nanto, decent weather and a nice time socialising - can't be bad.

Gem, good to hear you're having a lovely time, and I'd have loved to see the baby's face as he tried the pool. Is GD enjoying herself - I do hope so.

Oma, I bet your GS will come home full of stories from his holiday, then results next week, and then I'm sure it will be all preparations for him starting Uni.

Plant, I'm glad to hear they were pleased with you at the hospital. It adds to the stress of hospital appointments when the parking is so awful. It seems to be the same in most large hospitals. Thank goodness your DS is able to take you.

I took Eva for a short walk this morning, then dog training this afternoon, so she's been asleep all evening. She was very good at training and loved playing some of the games. I've been on the phone nearly all evening so not done things I'd meant to do. But I did have a long chat with DIL2 about our holiday and getting everything organised. I'm taking Eva's food over to put in their freezer tomorrow and to give the girls plastic crates to pack stuff in.

Good morning, and what a beautiful morning it is.
                Wall to wall sunshine.
Washing is out and i bet its dry in no time.

Plant, glad they were happy with you at the hospital.

I think dinner will be a beef and veg pie, from the freezer.

                  Good Thursday morning, everyone.

It started dull and cloudy, but the sun is now out and hopefully it will be a nice warm day. It was great to feel the sun again yesterday afternoon.

We're starting to get ready for our holidays today. I'm taking a couple of crates over to the GDs to pack their stuff in. We've never had 4 people in the caravan before, so have had to rethink storage options. I'm also taking Eva's food to put in their freezer - one more tick on my TO DO list. We've finally realised our ancient cool box doesn't function properly so OH is going up to the camping shop in the next village to get a new one, plus a couple of other bits and pieces. We're both getting in holiday mode now.

Nanto - I put a dog bed out to dry last night, and it's dried overnight. It's not often that happens.

After my very busy day yesterday I didn’t wake up until nearly 10am. No plans today so shall have a slow day. Had a lovely evening with my Guide friends, one of the members arranged a BBQ in her lovely garden. I won a little potted rose in the raffle. It was such a lovely sunny day and evening.

Daisy, I remember getting our caravan ready for the off, it is nice that you don’t have suitcases to pack.

Nanto I hope you have time to sit and enjoy the garden today.

Gemini, It must be lovely to have a pool, all the children must love it. You and S just lie back and let the family wait on you for a change.

Oma, I expect you will be pleased to see your GS soon, sounds as if he is having a lovely time with his mates.

                        Afternoon ladies
                        Went to MILs then Aldi

MIL was in a good mood so had a nice visit and stayed a bit longer than usual ,
Came away before Bs mad sister arrived , he can’t stand her . Not many people B dislikes but she’s one of them
She causes so much trouble in the family.
Always has from being a youngster, B has no time for her.

Shame because she was a excellent mother to her twin boys, they are 27 now but she’s a bit twisted with others
Can’t be friends with more than one member of the family at any one time , will cut you of without a word and move on to the next sibling .
Only his other sister that will have anything to do with her now.

feel tired today might potter in the garden for a while , it’s overcast but so warm.

The weather has been glorious today, still very warm.

DS1 and 2 nephews visited this morning.

Plant, we have been sat in the garden today, inbetween doing little jobs.

Gem, lots more swims to come, I hope. Isn't it great to just sit round the pool and relax as well. Have. you got a good book to read?

Plant, you certainly needed a slow day after yesterday. Doesn't the sunshine make a difference.

Oma, isn't that two visits in a row where MIL has been pleasant, plus going out for a meal? What a shame that sister is such a trouble maker. hope you relaxed and enjoyed the garden today.

Nanto, it's great to sit in the garden when the weather's like that. You had quite a house (or garden) full with visitors today.

I went over to DS2's this morning with everything. I took Eva as well, just for the outing, and Cooper gave her a great welcome. I hope he still feel the same when he'd had her at their house for a whole week! I did some deep cleaning in the caravan this afternoon - the cooker, sink and bathroom. Plus we took apart the vents in the roof and gave them a good clean. OH did the shopping and we now have a nice new cool box, with sides about twice as thick as the old one.

We had dinner in the garden tonight - lovely to be able to sit outside.

Good morning. Sky looks a bit iffy but it's warm. Not sure what the forecast is.

Shopping being delivered between 9 and 10.

Only a few days Daisy to your holiday. Hope the weather is good for you.

Just a day of tidying up while hubby is out for a couple of hours this morning.

Homemade chips, battered cod from Captain Birds Eye and mushy peas for dinner.
