Time for a proper good morning, but in fact afternoon
We are all waiting for Glamma's good news!
Nan2, pub lunch, definitely an idea I approve of!
Daisy I'm glad the biscuits turned out well with the GF flour. They are so easy aren't they? And delicious!
I hope Storm is being a good boy Oma.
Aqua was good and I had coffee with my friend afterwards.
As I said earlier, the builder seems to have sorted out the boiler problem at DD's for now at least. I think they are going to stay here overnight anyway. All is peaceful here right now! OH, DD3 and baby all asleep. SIL at work. They are not getting much sleep due to all the dirty nappies needing changing overnight.
DD dropped off stool sample from him this morning.
OH a lot better but far from right. I put off our catsitter friend from coming to lunch today, due to all the chaos here. This was before we all became ill. It's a good job I did as we would have had to cancel anyway. Enter the house of plague at your peril atm

Spoke to Bs sister today she is really poorly with COVID , hasn’t been out of bed for days ,
On the plus side my BIL is home , he has to go for a checkup in a few weeks and they will discuss about a pace maker .
But for now he’s just pleased he’s out and on the mend .
The boiler at DD's isn't connecting to the thermostat so they definitely need to stay here tonight. There is an electrician going on Friday so fingers crossed he can fix that.

Oh Gem, it just goes on and on for you at the moment!
Oma, good to hear your BIL is home. I hope he's taking things easy until his next check up.
Plant, what a busy day. I bet you'll sleep well tonight.
Lizzie, I'm really pleased with my new keyboard. I feel more like a piano in terms of touch than my old one, and I'm enjoying playing it. I'll probably have to get headphones though, to protect OH from the racket! What colour is your cowl?
Just off to get dinner - will pop back later.

Oma, good to hear your BIL is on the mend.
Hope B's sister feels better soon.
All being well, our BIL will be coming home on saturday.
Work are paying for him to fly business class,so he will be able to lie down for the long flight.
We had a lovely time at the pub. 2 of hubby's sisters and their husbands joined uu.
Meals were lovely, and we had a good natter.
Plant, you've had a busy day. I bet you are shattered now.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Oma, sorry I missed your comment about B's sister. I hope she's soon feeling better.
Nanto, I hope everything goes smoothly for your BIL's long journey home on Saturday. Will he have to have a stopover en route. If so I hope there's someone on hand to take care of him and see him safely onto the next plane.
Dog training this afternoon was quite hard work, especially for the dogs. Usually there are time when only one dog at a time is 'working' while the others are on their beds but today they were on the go for all but a few minutes. Eva found it thirsty work - she went out twice for a drink of water! She had a sleep when we got home and didn't wake for her dinner until 6.30 - 1 ½ hrs later than usual!
We uncovered the garden furniture today to give is an airing in the sun. It will be lovely when the weather warms up and we can sit outside in comfort!

Good morning.Lovely to see the daffodils flowering. Spring is round the corner.
Daisy, not sure if there will be a stopover for BIL's flight. It could be a direct flight.
Had a few spots of rain but its stopped now.
I woke up just after 1o'clock. Tossed and turned for an hour.
Got up and had a cuppa. Went back to bed.
Tossed and turned till 4.30, then got up properly.
Meat, onions and mushrooms in slow cooker. Will make some pies for the freezer tomorrow.
Dinner is bacon, beans and mashed potatoes.

Nan2 it is lovely to see the daffodils, we have some flowering in the front garden. I'm sorry you had a poor night.
Uncovering garden furniture Daisy, another sign of spring
Nothing going on here due to Covid! I was to visit my mum but of course won't be going. OH cancelled all her golf this week as not well enough.
This morning I will be looking after the baby for a while when DD goes home to collect the cat. They don't feel happy leaving her with builders in and no heating. DD1 was going to have her but that seems to have fallen through ( not sure why) so I think she will be residing in our conservatory!
Luckily I have always fancied communal living

Nanto
Dont you just hate those kind of nights , I find I may as well get up as I know there will be no sleeping .
I Bet everyone will be pleased when BIL is in his own home , he will be tired not only after the flight but all he’s been through .
Daisy
Must be spring in the air if the covers are off😁
I bet Eva was tired being such a good girl and working hard , are you seeing an improvement with her ?
Gem
Best have all the illness in one house , what would they and the animals do without Mum 😁
Off to MILs shortly I hope it’s a nice visit again , then to the Cancer charity shop with my handbags and pretty shoes ,
I have put them all in black bin bags so I can’t see them and be tempted to squirrel them out again , especially my pretty shoes 😢
I have a dentist appointment tomorrow , just as well as a large bit of the tooth next to my front tooth fell out while I was brushing my teeth , best not smile today it’s not attractive 😱😁
Good Thursday morning everyone. We've got rain! It's a good job we covered the garden furniture up again last night. At least the sun yesterday dried off most of the condensation that had gathered under the cover.
Nanto, I'm sorry you had such a restless night. Do you know what caused it? Hopefully you've got an easy day today. Don't daffodils cheer people up! I got two £1 bunches from the supermarket last week, put them in a jug on the hall table and they had opened within a couple of days, filling the house with perfume. I hope BIL's flight is direct to save him a lot of hassle.
Gem, how are you feeling? And S? Cancelling golf must be very disappointing for her. How is baby E this morning? When will you get the results of the stool samples?
It must be difficult to know what to do with a cat when there's building work going on. When My DS1 and family had to move out during their rebuild they insulated a wooden Wendy house in the garden, put in lots of warm, cosy bedding and even took her a hot water bottle twice a day to put under one of the beds. But she is very independent and moved around the house to where ever was the warmest and most comfortable place each day! Will you have to keep her inside of the conservatory, with being in a strange place?
You're certainly well on your way to communal living at the moment - but please don't overdo things. Give yourself chance to get better.
Oma, oh dear, your poor tooth. Will the dentist be able to patch it? Fingers crossed that MIL's good mood has lasted. You're very brave parting with the handbags and shoes you love, but at least they're going to a good cause and I'm sure they will be snapped up quickly by eagle-eyed bargain seekers.
At times I've wondered why we're bothering taking Eva to training classes, but when I look back on when we first got her, she's like the dog she was always meant to be - gentle, very affectionate and a bit naughty at times. The classes are fun with lots of games and I'll continue to take her for as long as she enjoys going.
I was hoping to start work on the front garden today - weeding, cutting back and taking out a few plants which haven't survived our cold winter. But it's raining! I might have to do the ironing instead!
"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
Oh Daisy, not the ironing! If you and Eva enjoy continuing with the training why not continue.
Oma, so sorry to hear about the tooth, I hope your dentist can repair it. I hope mil is in a happy mood today. I am sure your bags and shoes will make someone happy.
Nanto, I hope your BIL has a comfortable journey home.
Gemini, what a houseful of poorly people you have and now an extra cat who will be very nervous. Do look after yourself. Sil said the Covid infection he had recently was very much like a feverish cold but it really knock him for six.
So sorry for my absence yesterday, it was an in and out sort of day, just managed to stack the dishwasher and washing machine. DD greeted me with a lovely bowl of Broccoli and Stilton soup when I got back from WI and before I had to go out again, quieter day today. I had to leave an electrician in the house yesterday when I went out. He has fitted me an outside light that works and an under cupboard fluorescent light.
