        Good morning everyone.

Sweet kitten there Nan2. Foggy start here too.

Happy Valentines Day MimI! Thank you for the lovely roses ๐ŸŒน
        GC are wonderful but tiring!

GD, GS1 and I had a nice time at the cat cafe.

        Report from virus central -

Baby improving, almost back to normal apart from the nappies.
SIL didn't seem to bad yesterday, but bad enough to work from 'home', as in our house. DD3 and I are OK now. OH spent all day yesterday in bed, and apart from porridge with honey didn't eat anything. I got back from dropping GS1 off just after 7 and DD and SIL were leaving as I arrived. OH came down and requested a baked potato with tuna and watched TV most of the evening with me, so she is improving. Hopefully that is the end of the fevers for her. She has cancelled golf today and Thursday so she must be feeling rough!
Library for me this morning. .

Gemini, pleased to hear your family are on the mend, what did the medics say about the little one.

Foggy here too. I am hoping to get some cleaning done this morning then a Trefoil (ex. Guiders) meeting this afternoon. I have a doctors appt and an opticians appt made

Mimi, thank you for the roses, I was in M&S yesterday and there were quite a few men rushing in for red roses. You mentioned your DD and Sil were collecting a puppy but you didnโ€™t mention it again. Were the GC excited?

Oma, Happy Birthday to your Valentines baby. Your GS gives you so much love back you are entitled to spoil him.

Glamm, another GC due today, hope all goes well.

Good morning everyone, lovely and sunny here again. My neighbour is having a look at my bike, I will get to shops when he has done it.

Gem, pleased to see you are all on the mend, S must be bad to cancel her golf. I am pleased you enjoyed the cat cafe.

Mimi, you would be tired looking after the GC, I hope you have managed to get some sleep though.

            Oma, happy birthday to DS.

Good Valentine's Day morning to everyone. The fog's clearing here and the sun is putting in an appearance.

We've got both GDs and Cooper here today.

I'll pop back later when it's less hectic.

Nan2, I hope your BP is fine at the clinic.

Plant the Dr checked the baby over and all seemed fine. She said if the diarrhoea still here by Thursday to take a stool sample in. He is still having it several times a day and the night.

                  Busy morning at the library.

OH spent the morning in bed but had showered and dressed and got up by the time I got home. She's resting on the sofa watching snooker.

As far as i know my appointment went well.

Gem, i hope the baby clears up soon.
OH must have felt a bit better if she got showered and dressed.
                    I hope so anyway.

After the fog cleared, the sun came out,and it was mild.
We walked to the clinic and back, made the best of the sunshine.

Mimi, thank you for the roses. It's always lovely to get flowers even virtual ones. x

How exciting, a new puppy in the family. Is it the GCs' first dog? What kind is he/she? It is tiring having looking after GCs when they are young, but I think the rewards come when they get a bit older but are used to visiting you. At least you didn't have to cook, but I had to smile at you and OH sitting in silence, too tired even to chat. I hope you sleep better tonight.

Oma, happy birthday wishes to your DS. I hope he has a good day. Your GS1 and his girl friend obviously feel at home at your house, which is lovely. Is he still enjoying his car?

Gem, I'm glad you enjoyed the cat cafe. I was a bit worried that you were going to avoid disappointing the GCs because you weren't very well. So glad you and S are both going in the right direction now. I hope baby E's tummy gets back to normal as well.

Nanto, it's lovely when the sun breaks through fog like that. I hope your HT results are ok.

Plant, take care - that cleaning can become a habit! Did you enjoy the Trefoil meeting this afternoon?

Glamm, any news??? I hope everything is ok. xxx

It's been a busy but fun day at Daisy Towers. I went to collect our two GDs first thing, along with Cooper. It was foggy on the way over, but starting to lift as we drove back. GD2 said everywhere look magical and mystical, with pockets of fog making it look as though the trees were floating.

The girls always have a second breakfast or a snack when they get to our house. and they had a few minutes on their 'screens' while I grabbed some breakfast.

I've just got a new electronic piano and GD2 was fascinated! I showed her how to play Happy Birthday, which she picked up very quickly, and was so pleased with herself. GD1 can play a bit - 12-bar blues type of style, so she had a session making what she called 'good sounds'. We watched some boogie woogie YouTube videos which they enjoyed. After lunch, GD2 went back to the piano, and GD1 helped me to thread my sewing machine which I got a little while ago. I haven't had chance to use it and I'd forgotten what the lady in the shop had shown me. Then the three of us made Gem's oat biscuit recipe, with much giggling. We made them gluten-free by using GF oats and SR flour. I suggested adding just a little more bicarb as GF self-raising flour doesn't rise as well as ordinary SR. GD1 was horrified at the thought of tinkering with a recipe! But Gem, I'm pleased to report that they were brilliant and really tasty. I'll definitely make them again.

I took the girls and a very tired Cooper back home and managed to get back here before the fog started rolling in again. It was a lovely day and great fun, and as we always say, it's a privilege to spend good times with our GCs.

No cooking for me today. Hubby told me last night we are eating at the pub. Suits me.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone. We woke up to frost again, but the sun's out now and I hope it gets a bit warmer.

Nanto - whoopee, no cooking today. Is this your local pub?

Oma, Cooper was asleep before I left their house yesterday evening. I've never seen a dog be so obviously tired - his eyes go a bit red, even his ears droop! Eva slept all evening. I'd love for both the girls to take up the keyboard. Sadly they have nowhere in their house to put even a relatively small one. I've offered their mum and dad my old one and they're thinking about it. They'd have to do some drastic re-organising. Have a good day with Storm.

Gem, it's one thing after another for you at the moment. Is it DD3's boiler that's broken? I hope it's not too cold at aqua, but I'm so glad you feel well enough to go. How is S?

Glamm, look forward to hearing good news. xx

Usual Wednesday dog training for me. OH has a wood turning friend coming round a bit later to do something or other in the shed. I need to get a move on to take Eva for a walk before he arrives. One of us needs to be in for a parcel to be collected.

                                Have a good day everyone.
