Good Monday morning, everyone. Dull and grey here but at least there's no frost!

Lizzie, lovely photos of your GD1. She is very pretty and has a lovely smile as well.

Nanto, that's such good news about your BIL. Let's hope he will soon be home, and flying business class should be less stressful for him.

Plant, how lovely that GS3 is joining you on your holiday in Cornwall. Have you got a sea view over Carbis Bay? It's sensible to have a waterproof coat, but I hope you won't need it.

Oma, I hope the diabetic nurse is happy with you. You have got a busy day, but I bet your friend will be pleased to get her hair done. What are GS and girlfriend having for their tea?

Gem, I hope that cold fizzles out quickly. It does sound as though your immune system is on a bit of a go slow. Do you take zinc tablets? Several friends on here recommended them to me a few years ago when I kept getting colds and they worked. I still take them.

Hopefully I'll get a bit more gardening done today, but need to put some washing on first. We've probably got our GDs tomorrow, possibly for a sleep over, so I want to get organised.

      Good morning everyone.

Busy day Oma, I hope all good at the diabetic clinic.

Your GD is pretty indeed Lizzie!

Nan2 good news about your BIL.

Plant I bet you are looking forward to Cornwall.

I hope you get the gardening done Daisy. It's a fine day here but very dull atm. I should try zinc tablets. I only take vitamin D.

We are a house of illness today! I am still not feeling great, OH is feeling worse, started last night. Hot and cold, and is staying in bed.
DD, SIL3 and baby are all coming today as builders still there and SIL unwell now
I am booked to go to the cat cafe in town with GD and GS1 late afternoon today. I think I will be OK to go, its mostly a sitting down occasion!

Good morning, thanks ladies, GD1 has a lovely smile, when she wants! I wonder who she takes after????? I went to have a photo taken for a license of something many years ago and the photographer asked if I ever smiled! Not very often.

I have been to the gym and just hoovered through, aqua this afternoon. It is a lovely day so we will be on the bikes today.

I hope you all soon feel better Gem. There are a lot of bugs going round at the moment.

Oma, I hope all goes well at the clinic, kind of the hairdresser to do your friends hair at your house.

Goodness me Gemini, so many poorly people in your family. I used to take Zinc tablets to ward off colds, I had forgotten about it.

Oma, I hope the appt. With the diabetic nurse goes well. Talking about hairdressers, I must ring mine and book an appt.

Nanto, I hope your Bil has a comfortable journey home.

We are promised some very warm days this week, I might get some gardening done. My Dil and GS3 popped in yesterday before he returned to London. They changed my bedding, it only took them about 10 mins. Dil and GD1 have commented that I am a little breathless so I will ring the surgery today for an appt to get it checked. I also need to contact the opticians, I am expecting her to say I need my cataract done, she did warn me last time. No takers for my banana cake so I will pop it in the freezer, I know GS1 and family would like it.

Lizzie, what lovely pictures of your GD, she is beautiful and has gorgeous hair.

Daisy, I hope you have the sunshine to enjoy your gardening.

As this is the 8th day of diarrhoea for the baby DD phoned the Dr this morning. They want to see him and the surgery is near where they live so a 30 minute drive back for her. She has just set off. SIL is working from here, OH still in bed not well.

Oh Dear Gemini, what a worry for you all, I hope the Dr can find out the problem with GS3 and put things right. You are having some health problems at the moment.

Gem, oh dear, so many poorly people. Hopefully a couple of days in bed will help S feel better. Sometimes your body just needs time and rest to get your immune system working properly. I hope DD3 and SIL don't catch it too. Eight days is a long time for a baby to have such an upset tummy, and it must be hard keeping hime hydrated. I hope the doctor can help. Could you change the day for the cat cafe? If you're not feeling great you won't enjoy it properly.

Plant, I hope the breathlessness isn't serious, but it's much better to get it checked out. Is GS3 settling down well in London and enjoying his job? I'm also due for an eye check up, and a haircut. I must get on and get them booked. I can't believe no-one ate your banana cake! It wouldn't last 5 minutes in our house. Still it's in the freezer for another day, and it's nice to have something you can put on the table at short notice.

Oma, what a shambles! Surely the first thing the hospital should have in place for a clinic is a clinician to run it! It's such a waste of everyone's time and resources and the sort of inefficiency that I'm sure could be overcome with a bit of effort. I hope your friend's hairdresser appointment went better. How is B these days?

Lizzie, I think that photographer was very rude to say that! It's hard to photograph people who don't smile, but if you need smiley photos that's his job! Sometimes people don't smile because they're self-conscious about something, often teeth. Apparently that's why Victoria Beckham is so solemn-looking in photos. It may not be true but it is for many, so bringing attention to it just makes things worse! Also lots of people have smiley eyes which is lovely.

I've done some hoovering and tidying up, so I'm just off to get lunch and then out into the garden. The sun is shining, and I can't wait to get outside!
Mind you, OH is chainsawing up logs for the wood burner. It won't be peaceful and I can't risk having Eva out with me!

Daisy, I never liked that man after he said that about my not smiling!!!

Gem, I do hope that all is well with all the sick family!

We went to the pool only to be told there was no aqua, something to do with the air filtering, they invited us all up into their restaurant for coffee and a chat which was very enjoyable. The bike ride was as well, lovely and sunny.

Gem, hoping all the poorlies make a speedy recovery.

Oma, that was some mix up at the hospital.

The day started off dull, but we have sunshine now.

Oma, yes his bottom is getting sore although they are doing their best in changing him as soon as he's dirty and putting cream on. Dr checked him over and said he seems OK. If still as many loose nappies by Wednesday they can take a stool sample in.
I'm OK. OH still not well.

A shame to miss aqua Lizzie but at least you got a coffee.

Daisy DD and baby were poorly first so I think the rest of us caught it from them

Oma, glad to hear B's fine, and I'm absolutely positive he isn't a pain in the bum! Our log store has never been so empty, but it's filling up nicely now. It's a bit of a bonus that he gets 'free' wood! People often ask the wood turning club to take down trees for them or dispose of a fallen tree. So a few of them go along and do the job and split the wood up between them. When he comes home with a trailer full I always ask if it's for burning or turning! When people give him wood he's felled or logged he always makes a bowl or something for them.

I hope B's sister and OH aren't really poorly with Covid. I wonder what MIL said when her DD said she couldn't go there today.

How nice to get an unexpected trim this morning.

Lizzie, thank goodness you hadn't battled through horrible weather to get to the aqua class only to find it wasn't running. It must be a change to have lovely sunny weather after the rain, ice, frost and wind! At least you had an enjoyable chat and coffee.

I wouldn't have liked that man, either, Lizzie. He was totally out of order.

                                Good morning all
As it's Valentines day today here are some roses for all of our ladies who might be over looked today (Myself included)

I noticI notice that some of you and your families are feeling unwell so I hope you are all feeling so much better today.

Sunday we had two youngest GS's to ourselves for a few hours which was an absolute pleasure and delight. DD and SIL was travelling to Nottingham to collect their new addition to the family.. a beautiful puppy and as they more or less have to pass our house from Wales to there and back again it made sense to leave them with use rather than have two restless children in the 6 + hours round trip.

We played a few games then we all went out for lunch. When we got back home they wanted to go to the park so coats were put back on and back out we went. After what seemed like many cold hours I coaxed them back home with the promise of some sweets
They were then more than happy to snuggle on the sofa with a cozy throw over all 4 of us watching a film while granddad fell asleep!
After DD and SIL arrived to take them back home we had a quick tidy up , a cup of tea whilst sat in complete silence to exhausted to speak.
We were in bed by 9pm but I didn't sleep at all
Yesterday was spent mostly sitting on the sofa reading. I am hoping for more energy today

Bring me sunshine in your smile.
