Daisy my duvet coat was from M&S, a couple of winters ago. SO warm and really lightweight. It is bulky in that if I ever go to aquafit with it, I would need a second locker to put it in
I hope everything fits in the freezer!

I am going to the church to look at the decorated Christmas trees Most of the organisations in the village will have decorated a tree, playgroups to church cleaning ladies. I have been helping to make things for our WI tree, this year we have been making stars, H is staying here tonight, her parents are going out to celebrate GD’s birthday.

Mimi, it is frightening when you realise someone has taken money from your account but the banks are very good at sorting it out. I haven’t yet got my padded coat out but it is about to turn colder so I think now is the time.

Nanto, A trip to Rome sounds like a lovely idea, I hope they enjoy themselves. Enjoy your day out with your in-laws

Gemini, enjoy your quiz evening with C & P, how is C?

Daisy, that was a very nice guesture to not charge you for the sprats.

We have a local Scout delivery service, we buy the stamps from the shops and there are several boxes in the local shops. I only have about 5 cards to drop into local houses.

B is pretty much the same but didn’t cough as much during night , his nose is sore from having to keep blowing it .
DD is bringing Storm over this morning , he’s feeling well enough to go out now , still not for long walks so she will bring him in the car .

When you have problems with credit cards it can be scary , banks seem to be on the ball these days thank goodness .
        Its frustrating though .

        Daisy
How nice of them to send the sprats as a Christmas present for Eva , that’s good customer service isn’t it .

Pass on our good wishes to C hope she’s recovering well xx

        Plant
Will you go in to see baby H , I hope she’s not to upset Mummy leaving her .
They do get clingy occasionally at that age .

I stripped beds and washed them they now in the tumble apart from Duvet cover it’s hanging in the boiler cupboard ,
I don’t tumble that as it is better just hung up due to the pattern and material , it’s sort of a raised pattern that would flatten in the tumble .
I then popped to Aldi for mushrooms and Bacon I had forgotten , GS calling in later I never know if he wants a bacon sandwich so like to have some in .
The. Sun is out but we have had a shower and it’s cold .

Oma, I will see H at some point. My DD is a very quiet person, unlike my son. I think H likes her quietness and gentleness when she is tired. Her Papa wears her out so then she goes to her GM. GD would rather H went to her when she comes to pick her up, she finds it hurtful when she prefers her GM at that time. It is the downside of GD having to go to work full time and different shifts. H is sleeping here tonight so that GD and her OH can go out to celebrate GD’s birthday which is tomorrow.

Plant, I can see how your GD would feel hurt when her little girl seems to prefer her Grandma. She should know that it is her mummy she loves best really.
All my GC, especially GS2, went through phases of seeming to dislike their parents when they came for them, wanting to stay with me!

Oh we have had tantrums when both my DD and DIL came for the boys ,myDD would cry about it , but it’s only a way of the babies punishing the parents for leaving them also if they are comfortable and playing they don’t want it to end ,
They get over that phase quickly we found .
GS1 would go home and wouldnt look at DD for at least a hour , he would then snap out of it and be fine till next time 😁
GS2 you could bribe with a little pk of sweeties in the car , he was always food motivated 😂😂

DD brought Storm , he’s a lot better has a sore leg and neck where he had cannulas in and lost weight but he was a lot brighter .
We having him tonight for a few hours so DD and SIL can go out for a meal with friends ,
I have some cooked Turkey for him as little treats I don’t want to be giving him doggy treats yet .

Just as she was leaving GS turned up with his Christmas list and his laptop to show us what he chose ( clothes & Trainers ) so they now ordered .That’s everyone’s gifts except B he still hasn’t decided 🙄

We had a brilliant day, shopping, eating and laughing.
Didn't get the lights hubby wanted, but he says they have some on ebay.

Photos from today. Hubby in Santas Grotto and a couple of displays.

Nanto, what a fun day you had. Your OH looks as though Santa has approved his list of gifts and he's been put on Santa's "Good" list.

Oma, I hope B is over the worst. Will he take it easy until he's properly better? Pleased to hear that Storm is so much better as well. Yes, probably better to not give him doggy treats yet. We don't give any to Eva - they always make her, how shall we say, anti-social in the perfume department, apart from one particular fish variety.

Plant, I think little ones are drawn to quiet, gentle people. I remember our GS2 always wanting to sit with his step-grand father who is very quiet and gentle. But it doesn't mean she doesn't love her Mummy and Daddy.

I did some washing this morning and emptied out the carousel in the corner of the kitchen. OH gave it a good clean and I threw out a couple of things that were a long way past their BBF date. I pushed the sucky up thing round the house as well. I really don't know how I cope with all the excitement!

                          Raining this morning.
My plans for the doing the freezer in the outhouse have been scuppered this morning. Not to worry.

Gem, we had a a day in Rome a few years ago, when we were on a cruise.
Managed to see all the touristy places.

Braising steak and onions in the slow cooker. Enough for two meals,so half of it will be frozen.
Got a lovely very dark green savoy cabbage at the garden centre yesterday.
So we will have that and some mashed potatoes.

                            Morning all

Daisy I am almost worn out by reading about your busy day !

Oma how is B and Storm ?

Plant it was Lizzie48 who had problems with her bank but a few years ago OH was targeted by identity theft and person or persons unknown had taken out a drivers license in his name, moved all our savings from one account into our current account and attempted to withdraw the b*****y lot . Thankfully staff in the bank in Glasgow became suspicious and refused the transaction to take place. It makes our blood run cold even now .

Yesterday was a busy day . DS and DIL came by unexpectedly with a lovely gift for me . It was a big battery operated snow globe that I had been admiring when we were at the garden centre the previous day.
After they had gone I set to by getting lunch. Beef stew was already cooking in the slow cooker that I had started earlier that morning. I sometimes make a stew/casserole the day before we plan to eat it as its seems to taste nicer.
Lunch yesterday was a cottage pie that I had made the previous day bu didn't t get around to eating because I had filled my face with coffee and walnut cake. The cottage pie was warned up ( can you detect a theme going on here 😁) in the oven and while the oven was on so as not to waste gas I made a bacon and cheese flan and a bread and butter pudding. We haven't had one of those for a long , long time. It was an opportunity to use up some bread that wasn't as fresh as I like.

Today we are going out put up the Christmas decorations. OH did he usual moan about its a bit early but it's him that has set up our wooden Rudolph in the garden, put on display the 4 Christmas cards we have already received and since the 1st of December he has been playing the Christmas music play via Alexa. Honestly men, aren't they strange.
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

                                Good morning ladies.

Nan2, that sounds a good day yesterday. Nice pics

Mimi, your OH is obviously a secret Christmas lover! I am thinking of putting our tree up tomorrow.

We had a really good evening with C and P. We all enjoyed it and it did C good. P has been so good but in danger of wrapping C in cotton wool and she needs to start doing more. We exchanged our Christmas cards, but all said we hope to to meet again before Christmas if we can.

Baby GS3 is coming for the day. DD plans to get him here early, and we will take him back late afternoon in time for his bath and bedtime. I'm not sure if DD and GS1 are coming over at some point. I have told them they are welcome.
