Your right to not want to stand on steps , safest thing getting someone in ,
plus it’s hard work washing cupboard doors down ,
It looks a easy job but all that stretching tires you out .

We are trying to get MIL to agree to someone going in once a week or even once a fortnight to do the heavy things and high up things ,
She agreed to a gardener after a lot of nagging so hopefully she will agree to this .

Is the lady who is coming in one of the ones you know ?
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Yes Oma, she is a receptionist at our local surgery. another one was the lady who looks after the village hall and organises the games afternoon. I think she recognised my name but could only come yesterday and the decorator wasn’t finished. I will see her this afternoon.

I have been out 3 times today and got wet 2 of those times!
All OK at the dentist, it was just a routine check up.
As my dentist is near the Minster I saw and photographed the Queen's statue. OH drove me to the dentist as she was free this afternoon, which saved me the bus journey.

Daisy, well done to your GDfor the award.

Oma, hope Storm is feeling better soon.

Plant, pleased you have got someone who is able to help with kitchen.

We had a lovely visit with SIL and her hubby.

Gem, the statue of the Queen looks more 'gentle' viewed from the ground. It's no fun getting wet like that, is it. We've also had a chilly wind today. Hopefully you won't need to see the dentist again for a good while.

Plant, your kitchen will feel like new with being decorated and spring cleaned. I agree you shouldn't be climbing on step ladders.

Oma, poor Storm. Hopefully he will soon bounce back and be his usual cheeky, foodie dog-self. Thank you for asking about GD1. She seems to be fine now, with plenty of energy. She had a blood test a couple of weeks ago and it was all ok, except her iron was slightly low. They've got tests at the moment so she's working very hard - she puts herself under pressure - only top marks will do. It's early days for DS1 with this line of treatment, but he seems ok, just rather tired at the moment.

I understand how you feel about your GS1. I'm exactly the same. with ours. Odd comments by his parents like "He's working late tonight" seem strange.

Good morning. Its dry and parts of the sky is red.

Don't think we are going out anywhere today.
Plenty of little jobs to do.

Dinner will be french fries and beans. Got a couple of mince and onion crispy pancakes in the freezer,so going to get those used.

              Have a good day ladies.

                  Good morning Nan2, Oma, ladies.

                  Lovely menu for MIL, Oma.

This morning is OH's 6 monthly hospital appointment. For the past 2 years they have been Zoom ones. It seems they have resumed face to face, but you can't take anyone with you unless you need a carer.
As I can't go with OH I will go to the supermarket to get a few things.
My weekly visit to my mum this afternoon. I will be putting up her Christmas tree. We are supposed to be doing it together but last year she left it all to me, so she may do again. The entire home has been decorated for Christmas for a week or so and it is their party on Saturday, so I need to get mum's room in tune!

Sunny here and not raining. OH is glad as it's a golf afternoon and the last couple have been wet ones.
                  Have a good day everyone.

Good Thursday morning everyone. The sun's shining here as well, and the washing machine is churning away. I hope I might be able to dry outside!

I've got such an exciting day planned - a quick clean round the house, to minimise recent neglect and wage war on the cobwebs! I'll take Eva out this afternoon and by then I'm sure I'll feel I've earned a nice walk!

Oma, your MIL wouldn't get fed better in a high class restaurant! I hope she's in a good mood.

Gem, I do hope everything is ok with OH's check ups, and she can enjoy golf in the sun this afternoon. I hope your mum enjoys watching you put up her Christmas tree and decorations, even if she doesn't actively help.

Nanto, what a cute bunny to greet us this morning. Crispy pancakes sound nice. I need to defrost our freezers and tidy them up - another job to add to the list.

Im sure your Mum will be pleased to have her tree up so she’s all festive with the rest ,
Will you be taking her a nice cake ? I know she has a sweet tooth 😁
                        Fingers crossed with S xxx

                        Daisy
Trouble with all that washing is the ironing that follows ,
Enjoy your walk with Eva , that’s much more enjoyable 😁

MIL was in a ok mood , she had walked over the road to the local shop on Saturday and insisted on seeing a manager as there wasn’t what she wanted on the shelves ,
Said the young lad in there told her the manager wasn’t in and nothing he could do about the shelves if stock doesn’t get delivered ,
So she had a go at him
I told her the lad didn’t own the shop , he wasn’t the manager ,he was there for the wage and not to bespoken too like that ,
Also he was right what was he supposed to do if stock didn’t come in .

She didn’t like being told off and had a bit of a sulk .
Then after a few minutes said well I was frustrated they didn’t have what I wanted ,
Well fine but don’t take it out of the assistant , go elsewhere 🙄

She was still a bit sulky when we came out but we ignored it 😁

Hallo everyone, the cold wind has dropped and it is a lovely sunny day. I have just got the coats on my balcony plant pots.

I went to the next village in the car this morning, I needed a few gifts for December 5th etc, I got all I wanted and hope I win 2 of them.

Oma, MIL seems a bit like the friend I go swimming with, she gets so annoyed for nothing!!! I was very surprised when I heard her.

Gem, I hope you get your mums tree up and that she likes it.

I am waiting for a parcel to be delivered then hope to have a walk.

Gem, hope you have a lovely visit with your mum.

The heavens opened about 2ish. Sun came out ½ an hour ago and we had a beautiful rainbow.

Oma, i bet MIL really enjoys her meals.
Poor shop ass istant getting told off by mil. Sounds like he gave as good as he got.

Oma, your Mil has a very strange view on life, fancy taking it out on the young man working in the shop. You were right to put her straight.

Gemini, I hope decorating your mums tree went well and that she enjoyed watching you decorating it. I wonder if the Manager was hiding in the back. I hope everything was fine with OH’s check up.

Oma, I took mum a slice of chocolate fudge cake which she made short work of! I bought it for the GC's tea tomorrow mainly but took mum a slice. My mum used to be sulky like that too.

I didn't see a rainbow Nan2 but there was downpour while I was with my mum.

Did you have a walk Lizzie?

OH didn't get to her check up! There was so much traffic it took her long time to get there, then the road into the hospital itself was at a standstill. She rang to explain and they are going to send her a phone appointment.
Mum's tree is up. She enjoyed watching me and on the whole it was a nice afternoon with her. Helped by the fact I could tell her I would be back the day after tomorrow for the Christmas party
