Good Thursday morning everyone. It's dry here at the moment, but the clouds look dark and stormy!

Gem, I hope DD3 and baby are ok. It's so hard for babies to feed when they've got stuffy noses, poor little mites. I hope C is making a good recovery. When does she start radiotherapy?

Nanto, thank you for greeting the new day with a cheery sunflower! Yesterday certainly did turn out to be busy - but very pleasant, I'm sure. I always use a pie funnel for a deep pie, but my pastry still often caves in.

Plant, I hope the funeral went as well as possible. Your son and DIL sound very busy people, but I'm sure you enjoyed a good catch up with him. How are you feeling today?

No firm plans for us today. It will largely depend on the weather. I want to tidy the summerhouse out ready for overwintering some tender plants, but there's no point in trying to do that in the rain! I need to push the sucky up thing round, and the ironing is starting to pile up - so lots of exciting choices!

Daisy, I don't know if C has date for the radiotherapy. It will be a few weeks as you must be fully healed first.
DD3 still not well so I may go over this afternoon. I'm waiting to hear if she has done a covid test, as she has found out that friend she met up with last week has tested positive.

Gemini, I hope baby and your DD haven’t got Covid. You will know next time you take your mother to that cafe, which table to sit at if it is sunny, pleased she enjoyed the outing.

Oma, I must have missed the post about Mil, I am sure she enjoyed her trip with her son, was she outspoken at the hospital. A quiet time with Storm sounds good.

Daisy, I love the stories about the dogs, they really are like children.

I felt yesterday that I had turned the corner so I hope I will continue to improve. DS came with his laptop to do some work (retired) he is helping a friend recruit baggage handlers for BA as they sacked so many because of Covid and now they have found better jobs. I had to throw him out as I wanted to go to the games afternoon. I am pleased to say that yesterday I felt I had turned the corner. I just hope now that they haven’t found anything nasty in the blood tests. DD and Sil said the service was very sad, it wasn’t a committal, not sure when that will be, probably just the family will go to that. Hairdresser coming later, will be pleased to get it cut.

            Good morning,

I am fine thanks Oma, like you, lead a hectic life!!! I have just been to Zoetermeer on the bike, to return something and get a front light for GD1 bike, more about that later! It is a lovely morning, windy but sunny, I hung my washing out and it is dry now.

Gem, I hope DD3 soon feels better and doesn't test positive, most of the hospital staff here are advised to keep working now if they test positive and are not ill from it.

Daisy, Eva would wondering what was happening at the class!

GD1 came yesterday on her bike, I happened to be downstairs and she told me something was wrong with her bike, there was, the brake cable had snapped! I had just been talking to my neighbours, he is very handy with anything like that so I asked him to take a look, he went to the cycle shop and replaced the cable through the frame, I didn't even know that was possible! We were so pleased he helped us, then her lights were not working, GD1 and myself got new batteries in the back light and it was working again, she does have those snap on lights with her so not without lights. Now I have just been and got a front light for her and we will see when I get it fitted. We had a nice meal and catch up before she went home, I did offer to go with her. Not necessary, she knows her way!!!

I will get myself some lunch and then get the washing off the line, I love it when it all dries in the wind!!

Plant, I'm so pleased to see you are feeling much better. I hope you don't have to wait too long for the blood test results, and that they're ok. I'm sure your GD1 and her OH are relieved the funeral itself is over. Perhaps they are having a private committal for the family. A lot of people seem to do that these days.

Lizzie, You must be the star Head of Bike Maintenance in your family. You're very knowledgable. Lovely to get washing dried so quickly at this time of year.

Gem, poor DD3. I do hope neither she nor baby E test positive for Covid. If you were able to go over and see her I bet she was very grateful for some help. x

Oma, yes green with envy. In a way, I am. I wish I could get up like you in a morning and get the boring jobs done to leave the day free for fun things. I tend to just go straight for the fun stuff and the boring but essential jobs pile up until I can't stand seeing them and force myself to do them

Par for the course here, I didn't get any of the urgent jobs done! I did hoover up some mud off the hall rugs before lunch though! After lunch I decided to take Eva for a long walk in the Forest. It was dry and the wind had dropped. We got about 1 mile from home and the wind suddenly got up again, just as we were walking through woodland. It was better - less scary for Eva - when we got to a Forest camp site with lots of open space. I let her off and she had a good run round. I'd just put her back on the lead because of ponies nearby when a man appeared with three dogs, one loose and one barking at us! It's a surprise to see people around there so late in the day. We'd clocked up about 5 k by the time we got home.

I'm so glad you are feeling better Plant.

Lizzie I love getting washing dried on the line too. Too wet here today so we dried it on airers, which I hate doing.

DD3 did a test which was negative. I didn't go over as she didn't want me to in case she was positive. She couldn't test until SIL got home with some tests.

Apart from making a ( very nice) chicken and mushroom pie I did very little all afternoon!

                  Good night everyone xx

                    Doesn't feel too cold here.

As far as i know nothing much happening here.
Probably just be a run of the mill kind of day.

Plant, pleased you are feeling a bit better.

                        Good morning.

It will be nice to catch up and support that Oma.

Not much going on here either Nan2. Double school pick up this afternoon. No other plans as far as I know.

Have a good day whatever you are doing.

Good Friday morning everyone. It's blustery and a bit chilly here today, but we've had no rain for a couple of days so it's not too wet.

Gem, enjoy your relatively 'free' day. Glad your pie was good. Is this the start of a load of experimental pies?

Oma, I hope the fund raising morning is well supported. I'm sure there will be a lot of staff who will give B a warm welcome (and you, too, of course!)

Nanto, an other cheery graphic friend to start the day. He certainly put a smile on my face.

Clover, just wondering how you are? Don't worry if you don't feel like posting, I'm just sending hugs. xx

No particular plans for me today. OH is out tonight so I don't even have to think about cooking - I shall have mushrooms on toast. The day can drift along for once.

Oma, you did well on the Raffle! It must have been lovely to see so many old friends there, and I hope they raised a lot of money.

Did you buy anything in Matalan?

I pottered round doing a few jobs this morning and didn't get to take Eva out until nearly lunch-time. It was quite windy and dull so I wrapped up warmly. I did the same route as yesterday and got back about 2.30, so it was a late lunch. I've done a bit of ironing, but not much else. It's a quiet evening in for me as OH is out! Feet up, good book, glass of red - all sounds good.

I have not long got back from D1. I had a physio appt. This morning and went straight to GD1 after. We went to a soft play place for H, it was very good, just for under 5’s so no large children rushing around. Went back to GD’s and I waited until her OH was back so that he could have my parking space.

Oma, what a good cause, no wonder you spent lots and won lots.

Daisy good book, glass of red sounds good to wind up the day.

Gem, quiet day for you for a change. How is your DD and the babe, are they any better?

Nanto, it has been a mild day here today, quite pleasant out really.
