Oma, my love, you are always so upbeat , despite all that you have been through with B and your own health setbacks. None of us can be upbeat all the time though and its natural that you feel bit down right now.
I'm sure they will get to the bottom of this and get you sorted. Hang in there xxxxxx
Oma, we all think it's weird that all the boys have ear infections!
GS1 - not in much pain with ears but still quite deaf. They think he will probably need grommets.
Baby seems very much better. I will be having him tomorrow as usual
GS2 - at school, a lot better but still a bit deaf and not totally right.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Lovely graphic Nan2.
We don't have anything planned for today but we find that days like this turn out to be very productive
Yesterday was that sort of day. It all started off with OH doing a few odd jobs in the garden whilst I got on with the ironing ( yes I know I have spoken about doing it for sometime now ) .
I had only just started on the first item when I could hear OH calling me rather urgently from outside.
I ran out into the back garden to see OH trying to lift our neighbour up off the garden path
This is the second time she has fallen and we've had to help her up
Fortunately we were able to lift her up and help her on to her garden bench.
She had been trying to weed the garden and she had slipped off the small garden stool she had only just brought the previous day. She has a few mobility problems so she hasn't been able to go into the garden for many months. She is obviously feeling very frustrated with herself which is understandable.
All our gardens are open plan but the rules are that we all keep to our boundaries which are governed by paths the run alongside our lawns . Having open plan makes it easier for the contractors who mow the lawns easy access.
This works perfectly with everyone, we all respect each others property . The first and very important rule is never wander up and down the back garden of the bungalows, if anyone needs to speak to a neighbour we have to go around the front of the bungalows and knock on the front door. Very polite to civilised.
I do wonder if the younger generation, when they reach our age will they be so considerate?
Oma I hope you are feeling a little better today
You have to smile at your GS getting excited about an air fryer, one minute it's games consoles they are excited about and in the blink of an eye its household items.
I can remember, when gathering items for my bottom draw ( does anyone do that now ? ) before getting married, I had a matching set of saucepans with...... a matching milk saucepan!!
I was beyond excited, it takes a bit more than matching saucepans now to stir even the slightest interest.
Gem how are your GS's today?
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Gemini, sorry to hear all your GS’s have ear problems. My GGD1 has just had grommets fitted but they had to go privately to get them done. Already her hearing is better.
Oma, I hope your breathing is better and you had a good night.
Gardening for me today, not much because I have to keep out of the sun. I am going to leave the little bit of planting until the sun goes off the flower bed. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Mimi, our posts crossed. So sorry to hear about your neighbour, I have a fear of falling when I am gardening. Pleased you got your ironing done. When I left my job to get married, I asked for a bone china tea set, how practical was that! What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good Morning everyone,I've been busy this week with the massive clearout of the shed its the pain of my life at the minute I will complete the dreaded task hopefully by this next week-end.
When my beloved John was alive he kept allsorts of useless bits & bobs what he was saving them for goodness only knows so DGCs are coming to take it down on Sat/Sun and take it to a mans allotment even though its past its sell by date he says he can use it for his chickens to roost in.
My son is still viewing flats and we have looked at 2/3 this past week we have another one to view on Saturday, one which he really liked down on New Brighton Prom was looking very promising but the Landlord decided to sell it rather than rent which was disappointing. He needs to find somewhere so he can have little one staying over during the holidays.
I spoke to Jim's niece last night and she has found a carehome for him she has had major problems with social services they wanted him to go into an assessment home for 4 weeks then move him to a permanent place which she said was totally out of order poor man would be pushed from pillar to post, this home she has found is not far from her house so she says she can pop in daily if she needs to,he is up and about but free from any infections now he had a water infection which knocked him for six poor man but his niece says he is mixing with other patients he just needed the company and the care to get back on his feet.So his bungalow will be emptied in the next fortnight ready for new people soon.
Lots of great things going on here on the Riverfront this week-end with celebrations for the Battle of the Atlantic rememberance there will be fly pasts from RAF Valley in Anglesey and war ships docking and opening up for tours, lots of visitors coming to the City to take part in 1940's shows it should be an enjoyable few days,Churchills underground bunker will be open for people to visit he used to conduct his orders to the Ships from here.
Another Bank holiday on us again this week-end there seems to be so many I can't keep count for some reason then half term holidays for the little ones so many holidays all on top of each other.
I'm off now to get sorted and tidied up before DD arrives with GGS she is baby minding for the day and bringing him down for me to have baby cuddles he is such a delight and coming on leaps and bounds he has found his voice and can chatter back when you talk to him he is smiling properly just so cute.
Take care everyone x
Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

What fun Oma, another appointment and needle
Glamma, I hope Jim will settle and be happy when he gets to the care home. I think for some sociable and lonely people it can give them a new lease of life.
Thank goodness you and OH were there for your neighbour Mimi.
We have been for a walk with the baby. We called into the park and gave him a little go on the swing .
😊 DD1 called round while he was having his lunch. He was quiet and shy with her at first but more his normal self once she sat on the floor with his toys after lunch. He is a quiet watchful baby with people he doesn't see regularly, very different to the lively babbling one at home and with us!
He's down for his 2nd nap now. Apart from a bit of a runny nose he seems his normal self now.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
