Nanto - lovely when things arrive early - usually! I look forward to hearing how you get on with it. It looks very interesting.

Lizzie - so glad you got there safely, despite the diversion. Have a lovely time.

Oma - the car was ready early - before lunch, so we collected it, had lunch and then went to see the birthday girl. She was bouncing! It was so good to see her so excited and happy after all those months when she couldn't even walk without support. She is so thrilled to be 12 like her friends. The trouble is, almost immediately several of them will be 13! The problems of August-born children!

We had time for a chat, open presents, enjoy cake and then dash back home in time for my new lap top to be delivered. It wasn't due until next week, but I don't mind it being early. I've started to set it up and it feels lovely. I'll put it on charge tonight and then get to grips with it properly tomorrow.

This morning,i need to move/rearrange somethings on the kitchen worktops now we've got the air fryer.

Lunch, chat and laughs, what could be better?!

I have free day today, although I may be driving OH into town for a golf team lunch (that she doesn't want to go to!) . Not sure if she will go by bus, but I am free to drive her in. I had planned to go to DD3's today but her best friend and OH should be going. No point us all being there so I will go tomorrow.
We go on holiday on Tuesday, so today will be sorting out my packing etc. Both spare rooms will be in use tomorrow night with GD and GS2 on a sleepover. This means we have nowhere to put cases until after that, so we cant pack properly!

Gem - You must be really looking forward to your holiday - you've had quite a year (or two) with one thing and another. It's wonderful just not having to cook, isn't it!

Oma - I hope your drive is fully swept now, and MIL is in a good mood today. Have you heard from GS1? I hope he arrived safely and is enjoying the Festival.

MIL was in a bit of a mood feeling sorry for herself but by time we left she was full of herself again .

Oma, lucky GM having the young men to myself. I am being picked up by GS4, Gs3 (who you have met) doesn’t have a car. He is still looking for a flat in London with 2 friends, he needs to leave home. GS4 has a bicycle repair business and still living at home with his girlfriend. Their parents are on holiday atm.

Oma it's not a meeting OH is going to but a lunch. It's at a restaurant in town, for the golf club A team. She doesn't really have anything in common with the other members of the team she says. She is going under sufferance. I hope she has a better time than she expects! She went on the bus.

Daisy, I think everyone on here needs and deserves a holiday. I do feel ready for it though. So much stress this year selling my mum's house, and me being so poorly. It's hard to leave DD3, but I hope she will be OK.

DD3 sounds a lot calmer today. She was having a bad day yesterday. I will see her tomorrow.

Lovely day here today but I haven’t done much yet. ( see my other posts). Facetimed DS, they are just recovering from Covid but feeling tired. Went out for afternoon tea yesterday, very nice too. Daisy, I went to the other local branch of Stewarts, where we met and I can recommend the tea.

Otherwise, no plans today but must get organised for my knitting group tomorrow. Have a good day everyone,

Good Morning everyone what a busy week everyone has had.
I hope you enjoy the Air Fryer Nanto my DD uses hers such a lot and is very pleased with it.
Oma getting to grip's with a new laptop has put me off buying one for over a year now I just cope with the one I have had for several years it does run slow though and needs a reboot every now and then is it easy to move all your information over safely ?

Gems can you tell me the name of the Hotel you stay at on Majorca please I remember you saying once before how nice it was if I remember it is in a different part of the Island that we usually stay we stay in Palma Nova but would really like a change of scenery ng to ext time.

To day DD is off and coming over and we are going down to New Brighton to visit the food market stalls which have been set up for the Bank Holiday all foods from around the world are on offer but according to local FB page the prices are way over the top £14 for a Roast Lamb & fresh mint sandwich & £6 for a glass of beer coffee starting at £5 a paper cup so I won't be spending much I just like the atmosphere and the smells of the foods.

Off now to get changed to meet DD

I have heard all these events are really expensive now , I suppose the price of petrol food etc is rising for the vendors too .
