Nanto, Tommie is gorgeous. You will want to see him every day for a cuddle! Thank you so much for the photo.

Gem, yours won't be long now - twinges sound promising. I do hope she goes into labour naturally and avoids the various interventions on offer. I now you're excited and it's natural to be a bit anxious, too, so I wonder if that's held back your recovery from that dreadful bug?

I'm sorry to hear the Covid patients are still up and down and feeling weepy. Take care of yourselves, ladies.

I've had a fairly lazy day. My friend M came round for a coffee, as she has visitors tomorrow - she usually pops round on a Sunday. We've both been away so had quite a bit to catch up on. We sat in the shade in the garden and it was lovely. Later on it got quite hot, and I think I did the lazing about a bit too much. Dinner was easy. I'd found a recipe for a green sauce which was very easy and tasty, and served it was pasta topped with prawns and cherry tomatoes. I thought chopped crispy bacon would have been better than prawns but didn't feel like cooking that. I've swept the patio this evening, otherwise a very relaxed day.

Good morning. We were sat outside about Β½ an hour ago,and we had about 4 spots of rain.
Anyway it hasn't stopped hubby and his brother from going to a car boot sale.

                It's hubbys birthday today, 74.

Daisy, you deserved a lazy day yesterday.

I'm off to do a few jobs before it gets too warm. I'll be back later.

                  Good morning everyone.

Nan2, Happy Birthday to your hubby!
It looks as though it has rained here too.

Well done on the relaxed day Daisy!
If the weather forecast is to be believed we should all be doing as little as possible for the next two or three days.

OH will be leaving for a golf break this morning . Two days of golf, an overnight stay and nice meal tonight. It is usually very enjoyable. I just hope they cope with the heat!

There is nothing I need to do today apart from a couple of online things, so I will mostly be relaxing in the shade

                    Morning ladies
                    Nanto
Pass on Birthday wishes to your hubby from us , hope he has a nice day xxx

Gem hope S finds cover when she can in this heatwave ,
Enjoy your time alone , just laze around 😁

Daisy sometimes time just goes and you don’t feel you have done anything do you 😁
Finding food that’s quick and easy and doesn’t involve the heat of the oven is a must when it’s hot so pasta is ideal ,
Im not a great lover of pasta but if it has a nice sauce I will eat it .

!ike Nanto I’ve done all my jobs before it gets too warm ,stripped beds had shower and now all the towels and whites are in the wash

I have a appointment with a Dr at the local primary care unit at 11.30
Since COVID I have had a sore tongue really hurts eating or drinking anything warm ,
Tried treating it myself but nothing is working .
Phoned Dr on Friday can’t see him or phone call for 4 weeks but could see a Dr at PCU today if I don’t mind seeing another Dr .

Im not bothered who the Dr is as long as I get this sorted so of course I will see one today rather than wait 4 weeks ,or I could try ringing every morning at 8.30 to try get appointment .
They know fine well no one gets through at 8.30 and if they do like magic all appointments gone .

Oma, I hope the doctor can help with your sore tongue, unusual to be able to see a Dr. On a Sunday.

Daisy, nice to have a catch up with a good friend, I am hoping to have a get together with a friend next week when I get rid of this virus.

Gemini, I hope that baby will make an entrance soon. I don't think I would like to be out on a golf course on a very hot day but I am sure the golfers will be sensible.

Nanto, wish your OH a Happy birthday from me. What are you cooking or are you going out to celebrate.

I coughed my way through yesterday but fingers crossed no cough yet today. I slept late and almost missed a face time with GD1, she wanted to show me that her Oh was cleaning their windows with the help of baby H and a bucket of soapy water. They are so pleased with their newly decorated flat which was done whilst they were here for a week and on holiday. Her OH has a sister who paints theatre scenery and she and her boyfriend have painted a beautiful animal mural on baby H’s wall whilst they were away. They have been out of their flat for 2 weeks and are so pleased to be back.

Good sunny Sunday morning everyone. We've got a forecast for high 20s here, and it's already warm. I was too tired to water the back garden last night so I did it early this morning. I hope the plants are grateful!

Oma -it feels like the primary care service is falling apart - not being able to get even phone appointments is dreadful. I hope the doctor at the PCU can help with your sore tongue. It must be very unpleasant.

Gem - relax and enjoy the garden. I hope S has a good time at the tournament - and does well. I'm sure she will be sensible about the heat.

Nanto - happy birthday to your OH. I hope he finds something good at the car boot sale! (Well, it is his birthday!) I hope you didn't overdo the jobs.

No plans here today - just potter, enjoy the sunshine and relax I think. We're going to fill the paddling pool for Eva. I suspect she'll enjoy the filling of it more than playing in it, but we'll see. She did show some interest in the sea when we were away, which was a first!

Plant - our posts crossed. I do hope the cough has disappeared for good. How great to have a personally painted mural for the bedroom - lucky little H. I bet she will be fascinated by it. x

Oma, a sore tongue will be no fun. I hope they can help.

Plant, baby H cleaning the windows must have been so cute. I'm glad the cough has gone.

Enjoy the pottering Daisy, and Eva the paddling

No baby action so far today. DD is very fed up with being pregnant. I sympathised, having had a 42 week pregnancy myself, but told her to try to think of it as stocking up on rest before the baby.

                            Stay cool ladies

Been in and out very quickly , lovely female Dr took one look went yuk and diagnosed oral thrush .
Gave me a 10 day treatment said that should sort it if not make another appointment but thinks it will work .
Said should have gone sooner rather than suffer but I thought I could treat it myself and that it would eventually clear ,
Not that I knew what it was mind you .
