Good morning ladies
Its blinking cold and very windy here ,
Fell asleep from 6-7 on the sofa
I have haircut this morning but not till 10
GS 1 has just rang he has tested positive for Covid again this morning ,
DD is on her way to meet her new colleges in Derby , not sure if she will have to turn back around or not .
He feels ok apart from a scratchy throat and no taste so far
Oma, GS tested positive again?! That's bad luck isn't it? Hopefully it won't get any worse than it is now. I hope B has a good birthday.
Mimi, I think Nan2 has the best idea, just don't look at the display. Keep warm and just do what you would normally do!
This morning OH and I are going to Wilko. We know how to live.
This afternoon school pick up for GD and GS2. I will be telling them both how proud of them I was yesterday, especially my darling GD. You are right Daisy, I am proud of her and have been since the day she was born
Have a good Friday whatever you have planned.

Good morning everyone, it is bitter cold here! I went on the bike to the gym, not realising it was so cold! I have just been for my treatment but put a warm coat on this time.
Gem, so pleased it went well yesterday, your mum certainly looks well! The children would be so caring.xxx
Oma, it is never dark here, we have so many growers in the area with bright lights all night long, some people complain but the fact is they were here long before the houses were.
We get new rules, yet again, this evening, we will have to see what they decide.
Mimi, a good idea to book a taxi, it is the same here with cost of electricity etc, not to mention petrol!!
Sorry everyone, I missed a few posts, I was having problems with the site.
Oma, that is bad luck for GS1! There are so many new cases here at the moment. GD2 is home from school as so many in her year have covid.
Oma, not fair that your GS1 has a positive result again. I am sorry you had a bad night again. We don’t have any street lights in the village once you turn off the main road it is without lights but most people have outside lights.
Mimi, I have a meter too, I try to ignore it. We are on gas central heating and hot water but the television is on quite a bit.
Gemini, your GD is such a sweet and caring child. I hope your mum will remember her day out and the GGC.
I plan to go food shopping this morning but woke up late so will have to get a move on. This afternoon is a talk about the life of Wallis Simpson at the National Trust Group.
Good Morning Ladies I have been AWOL for a few days due to deciding at short notice to go and stay at my friends house over in Liverpool she has internet access but I couldn't remember my passwords to get on line so had to wait until I came home again.
We had a good few days catching up about when we worked together and her moving to London on a whim and landing a good job at M&S in Marble Arch which she worked her way up to Supervisor in the food hall, she is retired now but told me of all the places they went to after work quite a lot of them where single (as she is) and they had a ball.
I have caught up with all the posts and can see everyone has been busy in one way or another I am going to have a spring clean over the next few days ready for decorations on 15th Dec I always put them up then as it is DS's birthday he will be 46 where does the time go ?
The sciatic pain has reappeared and causing some discomfort but I am carrying on with the exercises that the physio lady told me to do and lets hope it starts to work I have another telephone appointment with her next Wednesday I am also trying out the tens machine I bought it has brought some relief but I get tangled in the wires when putting it on (trust me).I am seriously considering joining a pilates class near me and see if it helps.
Off now to get some ironing done and wait for my Sainsbury's delivery after being away I need to stock up the fridge for the week-end or Jim will have no veg for his Sunday lunch.
Bye for now xx
It is wild here ,
The wind is getting strong and we have had rain and sleet ,
Its very cold .
Glamm how nice to spend time with your friend and it’s a change of scenery for you ,
How is Jim doing ?
Plant what was the talk like was it interesting , did you get your shopping done ?
Lizzie in a way it’s safer if it’s well lit isn’t it , did your treatment help ?
Mimi smart move booking the taxi , we don’t have a smart meter we wouldn’t have one ,
Almost everyone we know who has one don’t look at it and it’s put in a drawer or a cupboard 😊
Rang GS1 at lunch time he is fine , still has a appetite, I asked if he had made himself something to eat , he said
There’s nothing in Nana 🤨 (don’t believe that for one moment ) could you get me a Kentucky meal and leave it on the door step , I will text Grandad what I want .
Alarge list came £10 it cost us 😱😁
DD did a test when she got to Derby it was negative and everyone was happy for her to stay
Gosh the rain is battering on the window , we were going out for B’s Birthday but decided not now .
Oma, yes the treatment does help. I am pleased to see GS1 hasn't lost his appetite! Is that you both spoiling him?
It has rained, heavy, all afternoon. DS2 has just phoned, I am going there for lunch tomorrow, they were calling in here on their way to a birthday but I have to use my car so will go there.
Glamm, you would enjoy your stay at your friends house.
We didn't get the snow at 7 pm.
Maybe we are feeling the cold more, but we i don't think we have ever had the heating as high as we have the past few nights.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Good morning, we are early Oma! No wind here as yet. I am going to DS2 for lunch so will make a banana bread for to take with me.
We are back in semi lockdown, shops, restaurants etc have to close at 5pm, supermarkets can stay open to 8pm, schools are still open with mask rules in some places. My gym has to close at 5pm so it could get busier during the day.
