    Good morning everyone.

    Pretty graphic Nan2.
Lizzie, I hope you find out about the bike battery!
WG, a sad and difficult day for you yesterday xx I hope today is a better one.
Daisy, now I will worry about you and Eva in the forest! I can imagine how scary that was, I hope you are both OK and your next walk if much more peaceful!

Yesterday's visit to my mum was a mixed one as it often is. It is getting harder to leave her as she gets a bit tearful and distressed. The staff says she even does that to them when they have to leave after spending a little time with her.
The family evening for GDs birthday was lovely. GS2 adored having a big group there, he is too young to remember that we did this pre covid.

GS2 is coming here for lunch and the afternoon. DD is taking GD into town to have lunch with her friend, and the girls to have some girls time in town. Then they are having a sleepover at her friend's house. It is her friend.s birthday on Monday, so birthday weekend for them both.

    Have a good Saturday.

      Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto - what a pretty "Good Morning"! I should think you need a fairly quiet day after all the work you and your OH have done this week. Yes, the walk was a bit scary. The ponies aren't interested in people, but you need to get out of their way!

A busy day for me. It's OH's birthday tomorrow and the family are coming for lunch. It's also DS2's and DIL's wedding anniversary on Monday, so I'm making a cake for OH and GF cup cakes for the love doves. I want to make the cakes this morning so I can decorate them this afternoon, and prep veggies etc. The pusy round sucky up thing is feeling very neglected, so I'd better do that as well! I want to make some soup to use up some of the potato maintain I ended up with yesterday! Lots to get on with!

I hope everyone has a good Saturday.

        Gem - we posted together!

I'm glad you all had such a lovely evening yesterday, and the birthday girl has a lovely day ahead as well. It's great having a friend with a birthday so close! I'm sure GS2 will want many more big gatherings. xx

Yes, Eva and I are fine, thank you. We were just a bit unlucky yesterday that there wasn't good 'cover' to hide behind. I think the ponies are just sorting their social groups out again - it was the drift last week-end, where they are all rounded up, checked over, wormed and their tails are cut into a pattern to denote which part of the Forest they are from. Some will have been sold, some taken off the Forest and being social animals they need to 'norm and form' like any other group!

Not feeling great, lumpy throat and bones aching. DD insisted in checking me for Covid, all clear there. It is a virus, I will just have to sit it out. Unfortunately DD and Sil are going to visit GD2 and her partner who live in South London and are staying overnight, DD wasn’t happy about leaving me, also she was waiting for the result of a Covid test she had sent off as she had been in contact with a positive case at school.

          I will report back later.

Plant - poor you. At least it isn't Covid, and I hope it's just one of those 48-hour things. But stay warm, rest and plenty of fluids (including the medicinal bedtime tipple if you fancy it!) I hope your DD is ok, although I'm sure she wishes she wasn't going to your GD2's this week-end.

                Stay safe. xxx

Oma - yes, I slept well thanks, and Eva was fine. Today she escaped! OH had gone out through the front to speak to our neighbours at the side of us. After about ½ an hour I said where's Eva? Ooops! OH said he'd drive round the estate looking for her and I said I'd go the other way on foot. She hadn't gone far - just out of the end of our cul de sac and across the road. She was enjoying a leisurely sniff round a neighbour's where there are two male dogs. Little hussy!!!! She came back ok - her favours secured with a piece of liver!

What are you going to do with the spare mirrors, Oma?

Plant, hope you feel better soon.

Gem, glad you had a lovely birthday evening for GD.
Such a shame that mum was tearful when you left her.

Hubby is down at the bungalow doing some plumbing work.
His pal has come to help him as you need 2 pairs of hands.
I don't think my BIL will be coming to the bungalow today.
He has had a night in hospital. He's the one who had a heart attack in May.
                  He's ok now.
We know him and SIL are desperate to get moved in and i think the stress was telling on him.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

I am late again! It has been a lovely warm day so I have been out on the bike, I have done 60kms, not all in one go. First I went to Zoetermeer to the bike shop, it was what I thought it was, but, I daren't do it in case I ruined the battery, the young man had to laugh, I told him I live on the 5th floor and had to bring the bike up last night to load it up, he asked if we had a lift!!! Then I went for my eggs and veg, came home and later on had another ride. I just hope I sleep as my ribs are playing up something awful when I get to bed.

Daisy, I would have panicked with the horses. Eva would enjoy her freedom exploring the street.

Plant, I hope you are soon feeling better.

Nanto, it will be a lot of work to clear the garden, do the council do it?

Gem, you would all enjoy the pizza evening and the girls will enjoy the lunch etc.

Oma, you never stop do you! You will be pleased you got the bulbs etc in.

WeeGranny, it must be so sad seeing your DH like he is. Then having to witness a pub brawl!

The friend on the second floor with alzeimers is getting worse, she had fallen off her bike yesterday and her arm was open, she didn't tell anyone until much later, I was stood in the lift with her when she came home and she never mentioned it to me, later, when I went to get the bike to bring up here, I met her daughter and she had come to take her to the doctors post at the hospital, she had 6 stitches in it. I don't think it is safe for her on the bike.

Lizzie poor lady maybe she shouldn't be on her own now ,
Have you tried propping yourself up when you go to sleep Lizzie to take the pressure off your ribs ?
Not the most comfy position but it may help xx

Another day in A&E! Got phone call at 7oclock this morning to say OH had had a fall and they'd called an ambulance. So off I went and got into A&E very quickly. Nurse took me to where he was, in a much quieter area than last time. think it was where the ambulances brought patients and a sign on the wall said it was 'Majors. For treating serious illnesses and injuries' ! he was moved into a side rom when they realised he was at risk of infection which kept us away from the hustle and bustle.
Anyway, his bloods are still very low, has an infection, a split head which has been glued together and they've kept him in. He's in a single room in a much quieter ward and the staff I met were all lovely. Two of us can visit for an hour, so we'll probably go in tomorrow. He told all who asked that he'd been hit by a car/truck /lorry and that's how he's got the injury. If you didn't know he had Alzheimer's you might well have believed him, he's very convincing! he had an x-ray,CT scan, ECG, all the usual tests plus bloods taken so that the could grow cultures from them to see why his bloods are so low. He slept most of the day and I thankfully had taken a book with me...just in case!
Just had a bacon buttie and a glass of wine and can hardly keep my eyes open, so I'm off to bed now! night night ladies xx
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Good morning, WeeGranny, poor OH and all the family, sending love and thinking of you.xxxx

Oma, strange enough my ribs didn't hurt last night, I slept really well, how I don't know. Maybe the bike ride helped!

Gem, it is sad about the neighbour, she was a SIL of friends of mine from up here so I have known her a long time, they lived and worked in Curacao, her DH died there and she returned with the children. A parcel came for her, the young man delivered it on both Thursday and Friday, both days I happened to be downstairs, busy with the bike etc, I told him she wasn't home but could I take it, he explained it had to be delivered personally, that was what was on the package, he showed me it, he is such a pleasant young man, always smiling and friendly, he doesn't speak much Dutch, as yet. He put a card in her letter box, they don't put on it where you can pick it up, you have to scan it or look on the internet, not done with alzeimers. She asked me twice on Friday where she had to pick it up, showed me the card a few times etc. Yesterday morning she came to me with the card and I explained it again. Her son phoned me yesterday afternoon, he was visiting, he asked what the story of the package was as his mum had just written on a Post-it, J knows!!! He said there was no sign of a card and his mother said she hadn't got one, so sad to live like that. I can't see how she will be able to live on her own much longer.
