Lovely photo Oma! And lovely sunshiny outfits. Let's hope it's not too long before you can meet up again.

I was the same with my Scottish family when we went up in July. We're not a very demonstrable family, but it was soooooo lovely to get a cuddle especially from my wee brother! The welcome we got from my niece's three dogs will be remembered for a long time......that might have had something to do with the fact that I had treats in my bag!!

Saw OH this afternoon and we were relieved to see that he was eating an egg sandwich and a plate of fresh fruit!

Enjoy your evening ladies. Anyone watching the programme with Martin Clunes ? Really enjoying that! On the other hand, there were an awful lot of annoying people in BakeOff!

Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Daisy is Eva back on track now with training ? Its been a long time for her without it ,

We are a mad family to start with and laugh at anything but my nieces are like a double act they just bounce off each other ,
when you mix B into the act its noisy and hysterical he is as bad as them

WG I haven't bothered with Bake off this year I think its the same old stuff nothing changes

Lizzie I wore mascara for the first time in many month today and my eyes felt heavy , im not used to it now , but it is nice to make an effort now and then ,
Im the same with necklaces I have loads but only wear the one my BIL Martin bought me for my 60th birthday 5 years ago .

WG at least he is eating even a sandwich and fruit is better than nothing , Did they say if he had ate anything else today ?

Gem did SIL get his work done in your peaceful room ? good you got away from library early , makes a difference when you have help

Im not fat just 6ft too small

Had plenty of sunshine today, but its turned cool now.
We have got the heating on.

Good morning. Sunny with a bit of breeze.
Will be ideal for drying the washing.

Going to visit GD1 and her hubby this evening. Taking her birthday presents.
Her birthday isn't until next week, but after today her shifts will change.

          Have a good day ladies.

            Good morning ladies.
Nan2, it will be nice to see your GD and OH.
Good for Eva getting back into dog training Daisy.
WG, it must have encouraged you to see your OH eating. I will start a thread about TV programmes, but because we are numptys we are watching the Martin Clunes thing, but we have realised we are watching series one, not the current one!!

This morning OH has an appointment at the audiology clinic at the hospital. I will drop her off, pop to Sainsburys for a few things then wait around for her. It will save her paying to park, and although the bus is free it takes a while.
Golf for her later, and we are out for meal with friends tonight.
I may deliver a few newsletters today.

            Happy Thursday everyone.

Daisy, pleased to hear Eva is back with her training and you of course. Sounds like a bit of a mixed bag at your french class.

WG, you must have been very relieved to see your OH was eating.

Aqua for me this morning, I ought to give it a miss as we are expecting a person from Sky anytime between 8am and 5pm today to update us to SkyQ. Why can’t they give a more definite time. Sil will be here but he will have to explain to me how it works. If they don’t come this morning I might miss bowls this afternoon.

I will pop back later as I must get a shift on if I am to go swimming.

Good Thursday morning everyone. It's bright and sunny here, but earlier there was a definite chill in the air and the central heating had kicked in.

WG - so glad to hear your OH is eating. I'm sure after being off his food for a while he won't have a big appetite, but if he's tempted with foods that he likes it will help, and give him more energy.

Nanto - enjoy your evening with your GD and her OH. Does the change of shifts mean she won't be able to celebrate her birthday on the day?

Oma - I hope it was waterproof mascara with all the emotions of seeing your sister yesterday. I hope things don't feel 'flat' today.

Yes, Eva is back on track with training. She had remembered almost everything we do, and didn't put a paw wrong! We did flyball this week and as it's such a small class she got lots of goes.

Gem - I intended to watch the first episode of Bake off on All4 because OH was watching one programme and recoding another, but I couldn't get it. I hope S gets on ok at the audiology clinic. It's a busy day for her - that, golf and out this evening.

OH is watching the Martin Clunes programme, but says he still keeps seeing him as Doc Martin!

It's another day on the garden for me. We're desperate to get the lawn cleared before the weather changes - half the grass is dead the rest is knee high!

                  Morning ladies ,
Its dull windy and quite cold here ,

                  Everyone is busy today ,

Plant I hate having to wait for people to turn up and not having a time frame , enjoy your Aqua , with luck you will get to Bowls .

Gem a full day for you and S enjoy your meal out , how did the quiz go I meant to ask ?

Nanto I got all my bedding dried outside yesterday , its so windy here I don't think it would stay on the line today ,
I would be collecting it from someone's garden

How old will GD be today ?
My Twin nieces were 52 yesterday , I cant imagine them so old to me they still seems young girls

Daisy will the lawn revive do you think or will you have to re seed ?
Yes my Mascara was water proof , just as well with the crying and laughing

Washing in the tumble , been to our Local Morrisons and then popped into Aldi ,

Aldi have their Christmas food in the freezer isle already
I love Christmas but its too soon ,
B said its because they are saying there will be a shortage so they know people will panic buy now

When I came home yesterday there was a Letter to say I have to have a scan tomorrow morning then a full Blood count on the 4th October ,
so fingers crossed they get to the bottom of my Infection marker count and find out what is wrong with me

Good morning, it is very windy here this morning. I thought I had got off lightly from my fall, that was until this morning, my poor ribs! It was very difficult getting dressed etc, I phoned the surgery and she said that was normal for the pain to kick in over a few days and it could last 6 weeks. She made me laugh about something she said, I told her not to do that as I can't laugh. If I have difficulty breathing I have to phone back.

WG, I hope your OH is settled soon, it will give you more rest when he is.

Nanto, enjoy the visit to your DD. Does she live in the area?

Plant, I hope the man arrives early from Sky so that you can go to aqua. I phoned BIL last night and his DS2 is arranging Sky for him so that he can watch sports etc. My sister wouldn't allow it.

We are back, having a cuppa!
OH had her hearing aids tweaked this morning and will have a review (the first since she got the aids five years ago) at some point, probably next year they said. We have all noticed she is hearing less despite the aids!
I did a small Sainsbury's shop then picked her up.

Oh Lizzie, I think rib pain does persist Years ago my ex broke 3 ribs tearing an old T shirt for rags (still a big family joke poor man!) It was painful for some time.
I hope you enjoyed aqua Plant. I must start now the schools are back.
Quiz went fine thanks Oma. I told them I wouldn't do it if we had less than 4, we would miss a week. I had four promised but actually had six. We usually have 3 question rounds, one of those general knowledge plus a picture round. I made them do a Disney picture round this week as I had previously been appalled that none of them recognised Daisy Duck. Not only that they hadn't even heard of her!!! I will get them educated
Scans and tests (or rather waiting for them) are not nice, but as you say you need to get to the bottom of it xx

Lizzie I agree with Gem Rib pain is awful and lasts ages ,
B cracked 3 ribs sneezing some years ago now , he still holds his sides when he sneezes even now he is afraid of it happening again ,
My MIL cracked one stretching over the back of the sofa to get a cushion that had dropped .

You need to take it easy and dont lift anything heavy or stretch to much xx

Thanks, I will take it easy, no lifting or bending as it hurts! I have had it before, I tripped over a loose slab in the pavement on the way to my garage.
I just thought I had got let off this time round, but no.

Lizzie, its GD1 we are visiting. Shei s about a 20 minute drive away.

Oma,its not her birthday until next week but she is on nights from tomorrow. She will be 27 next.
Her night shift starts at 6pm. We could have gone earlier in the day next week, but hubby likes to go when her hubby is home from work.
My jobs today were cleaning upstairs. Washing dried lovely today.
Window cleaner has just come. Pleased he has. It seems ages since he was last here.

Gem, hope you enjoy your meal out.

Oh poor you Lizzie, rib pain is so painful and whatever you do seems to effect the ribs. Take care and no laughing.

I went to Aqua , Sil said the man came but didn’t have the right ladder so will be back later and we are still waiting. What with that and the broadband updating. The men needed someone to draw a line to show where they are to dig so they disappeared and have not been back now Sky man with wrong ladder, you couldn’t make it up. I didn’t go to bowls as I thought I should stay and hope to see the Sky man. I have spent the time clearing the ironing and now I am going to plant some pansies and trailing ivy in some urns by the back door.

Oma, pleased to hear you have an appt. for your scan to check your infection count.
